About This Thread This thread tracks Sims 4 mods and CC that have been "broken" or made obsolete by game update 1.117, August 19, 2025 and the September 4 hotfix patch, or declared unsupported by their creators. Sims 4 Staring as background process
Hello, I'm having trouble with my sims 4 game regarding the task manger and running it as an app. I do have mods and CC, I've been doing the 50/50 method the whole of yesterday, and had no problems with running the sims 4, now today it is only running as a background process. This has happened before many times, and I often come on the forums for answers, I've tried every single one, but nothing is working this time. I have also tried to run EA and Sims 4 as administrator, that didn't work, I've uninstalled and reinstalled sims about 3 times and that also didn't work. I have script mods turned off after the recent update, and I have also started a new folder, that didn't work either. I just want to play my game. I've attached my DxDiag below. Please help me!
Sims 4 Script Mods
Hi all, I along with so many other players, I have been having issues playing my game since the new skins update last month. The game will allows mods, but will not allow script mods. So the most favoured mod which is the birth mod from panda can not be switched on or your game will not play. It just kicks you out of the game. The same goes for MC Command. The Sims game has had a recent update along with the script mods, but the game will not play with them switched on. These script mods allow the game to be more realistic, and it's a shame that I have been complaining to EA for nearly a month, and I have not had a reply or help to fix the issue. My daughter who's great with IT, found that the new skins update seems to have been created for a MAC PC, and I'm playing on a Windows PC. Any idea how I can get my game working with the script mods?.
Sims 4 failed to launch game
FOR THE PAST FEW DAYS, MY GAME HASN'T LOADED AND THIS IS THE ABOVE ERROR I'M SEEING! I'VE TRIED EVERYTHING AND STILL NOTHING IS CHANGING! I CAN'T BELIEVE EA IS MAKING ME TURN INTO SOME TECH GURU TRYING TO FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM WITH THEIR OWN GAME! ALL THE HAPPENED AFTER THEIR FORCED UPDATE I WANTED NOTHING TO DO WITH! DO SOMETHING!!!
Help The Sims 4 ISN'T working after August 2025 patch
Hey everyone, I'm so sorry for ranting but I'm now at a complete standstill. I've removed the cache files, repaired the games multiple times, uninstalled the games and reinstalled them so many times and the game gives me 2 different errors. The first error is that it keeps sending me back to the neighborhood menu with out without mods using a fresh new game with 0 mods. The 2nd error now it keeps freezing during the loading screen and doesn't work at all :/ I don't know what to do any more but I'm thinking I might as well give up on The Sims series and move on to another game at least until EA releases a fix or something. The game continues to freeze and not function properly after doing everything. I've removed Icemunmun's mods, Tmex mods (except for BE), Ats4 mods, basically every single script mod that doesn't work except for WW, MCC, and Weerbru's mods (The UI mod and the more CAS columns). These are apparently all cleared by Scarlet Realms broken mods list) . I was wondering if anyone could help me solve this until EA comes up with another patch to fix this. Thank you and I apologize for ranting here.
Acne? on infant and toddlers
I play with mods and cc. My sim had a child and I noticed when she turned infant she had these marks that look like acne? I thought maybe it would disappear when she aged up or maybe it was part of an update but she still has the exact same marks as a toddler. Ive checked to see if its the same for every life stage but it disappears at child, so its only for infant and toddler. Anyone know what this is or have any fixes? Its not something in cas as i removed everything.
