[PC] Mass Effect Online Access Error in Multiplayer Mode
Commander, you’ve received a new message at your private terminal! When downloading Mass Effect 3 or Mass Effect Andromeda, players may run into one of the following errors: Mass Effect 3 - "An online pass is required to access the online features of the game." Mass Effect Andromeda - "Missing Online Access" Changes to the EA account cause these specific errors. These can include but are not limited to the following: EA Play subscription expired Account Mergers A separate account downloaded the DLC If you encounter this error when launching the game, first try the following steps to see if this resolves the error(s). Delete EA License Files: Make sure the EA app is closed. Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time. Type or copy and paste "ProgramData%\Electronic Arts\EA Services" (without the quotes) into the new Window > ENTER Delete all files within this folder. Clear Windows temp files: Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time Into the new window, type or copy & paste: "%temp%" (Without the quotes.) > hit "ENTER" Now your Windows Explorer should have brought you to the "C:\Users\>your user name<\AppData\Local\Temp" folder. > Delete all files and folders in it. (If some files or folders can't be deleted, reboot and try again.) If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you will need to contact our Support Team who will review your EA account and make any necessary changes with you. Yes, another one of these. After spending many hours over multiple days discussing this issue with both EA and Steam support I was finally told to just report my issue here. In short, you have probably heard this one before. When I boot up Mass Effect Andromeda it greets me with the error message "You are not allowed to access the online features of this game". After following the steps outlined in this ( [PC] Mass Effect Online Access Error in Multiplayer Mode | EA Forums - 9200656 ) forum post to no avail I contacted the EA support for the first time. Over the course of a few hours with multiple support agents attempting to help the end result was, that their internal system does not recognize me owning the game in the first place. They instructed me to reach out to Steam support since I had bought the game through them and ask for "the specifics of the purchase" (The automatic translation making it quite difficult to actually follow what exactly they were trying to tell me by the way). So I did just that, with the Steam Support getting back to me after two days stating that on their end all is fine, I own the game and it is registered in their system. Great, back to EA support I was sent. I explained my issue for what felt like the 100th time and eventually the support agent figured out that yes, indeed, their system does not recognize any ownership on my account of a product key regarding Mass Effect Andromeda. After telling me that they would help me if they could, they said they would report it to their internal team and sent me here to report my issue once more, hence this post. Who still plays? A couple of years ago I thought my days of killing Reapers and Cerberus were long behind me. But there is still a decent number of active players on PC. I got back into the game, and even began recording and uploading gameplay to YouTube. Hello! I got the urge to play the multiplayer on PC even if just solo but when i downloaded the game and selected multiplayer, my profile had lost all progress. How do I get this progress back? I have logged into my N7HQ account and can see my profile but when i click re-sync on the support tab it does not seem to update in game. Hi everyone, I also have the Online Pass Error Message Problem and cannot access the Multiplayer Part of the game. The single Player DLCs seem all to work. "An online pass is required to access online features of the game." I bought the standard game edition with all DLCs originally on my Origin Account. My first online Pass Error was fixed by the support. After the transition to the EA App it happened again and the support fixed it again. Last year I got the problem the third time and after two weeks of writing emails with the EA Support and chatting with the Live Chat Service, I gave up. So new try: I did the following steps by @ EA_Shepard: Repaired Mass Effect 3 Delete License Files Delete Windows Temp Files Uninstall EA APP and ME 3 with revo setup DELETE and Reinstall EA APP and ME 3 several times I really hope I get access back to the Multiplayer. So yesterday out of nostalgy i convinced my friend to buy a copy of Mass Effect 3. She activated it, downloadet it but EA app doesnt show her any add ons except Extended cut. It is a problem because when we try to play multiplayer together it shows we cant play together because I have multiplayer add ons (Reckoning, Earth...) that were free updates and she doesnt. Unfortunately i cant just simply deactivate them or something. Does anyone have an advice on what to do with it?Mass Effect 3 Online Pass Error
Hi I'm having issues with accessing multiplayer mode. I haven't had issues in the past. I've previously owned Gamepass/EA Play so suspect this has broken something at some point, as I no longer have access to multiplayer.
