Sims 4 old back folder doesn't work
PLEASE HELP!!! I cleaned out my mods folder just to make sure I didn't have duplicate mods in the game. Once I was done, I couldn't find the Electronic Arts folder but my saves and mods were still in game. I ended up searching for the EA folder and two came up. It asked if I wanted to replace, I said yes and my entire game was wiped. I tried to use my back up sims 4 folder to add it back to the game and it's not working. Electronic Arts folder doesn't have the sims 4 folder and when I add it in it still doesn't load. I even renamed the folder so a new one could generate but it does not. The Electronic Arts folder has an "EA app" folder and in that folder an "ARD" folder and "machine. ini". When I click on the ARD folder there is a GEADesktop folder that doesn't open when I click on it. I've tried repairing the game, logging out of the app and restarting so a new The sims 4 folder can appear and nothing. That's the only thing that pops up.Can’t download the ea app and origin is not working anymore - can’t play at all
Hi, I’m not sure if anyone else is having this problem but since the sims has moved to the ea app obviously origin has stopped working. I play on a Mac computer - MacOS High Sierra version 10.13.6 every time I’ve tried to download the ea app it has a white no entry sign on the ea app icon when I try and drag it into the application folder. When I try and open it, it says “You can’t use this version of the application “ea app” with this version of MacOS. You have macOS 10.13.6 the application requires 10.15 or later” I can’t find a possible update on my computer anywhere. So I basically can’t open origin anymore, because it’s shut down and now I literally cannot even download the ea app, so I’m stuck is there a fix for this? I’ve spent so much money on this stupid game and now I physically can’t even playGame Won't Open Old Saves
For the last week, my game will not open my old saves. At first they wouldn't even come up when I opened the game (even after I removed the original sims folder to my desktop and copied the save files in one at a time), but once I finally created a new game they would appear, but the icons would be greyed out. If I clicked on the saves, it would automatically open the new game rather than my old save. Including a screenshot below. I've tried repairing my game, restarting my computer, and clearing out my computer storage and making sure all the saves were downloaded (not on the cloud). I've tried restoring older saves of my game, all to the same effect. I don't & have never downloaded any CC or mods. Does anyone have any tips? I would be devastated to lose my old saves--I've been playing on the same family for years!119Views0likes6Commentscan’t access game
for about a month now whenever i try to open sims4 it just says ‘too many computers have accessed this accounts version of [game name] recently. Please try again later.’ i have repaired the game i’ve deleted and redownloaded it nothing works because that message just keeps coming up. I’ve not been able to access sims 4 for about a month now. I have also tried to remove all other devices but the only device i play on is my macbook but i still deleted trusted devises on the EA websiteWhat the **bleep** is going on EA...
Last night I keep getting inconsistent "Error:0" messages rendering the game incapable of saving (but then sometimes it would work), "Unable to connect to server" to upload to my gallery (but sometimes it would work), and some other crazy-**bleep** message about EA checking for game updates in the background for new stuff. I repaired my game, removed all my mods, cleaned out every cache, and when I go to re-boot the home page is showing me some household I've never played and where the household income dollar amount should be, it showed a bunch "W"s criss-crossing and overlapping. My entire saved game was wiped and I can't recover the back-up files I have. I reached out for support via chat and Ricco tells me there's no issues that have been submitted by their studio team. Oh yeah? Then why are the forums and X blowing up with people having the exact same issues as me?! I repeat, WHAT THE **bleep** IS GOING ON EA?!?!! I've given you how much money over the last few years? You all should be absolutely ashamed of yourselves! I WANT A REFUND FOR EVERY GAME IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO PROVIDE A CONSISTENTLY WORKING PRODUCT!!!!!!!Transferring Sims 4 Files to new computer before Origins is shut down
So, with the coming shutdown of the Origins app, I know that I need to get all my Sims 4 stuff transferred to a new computer so I can use the EA app. (My laptop hasn't updated since almost the entire time that I've owned it. So, it'll just say things like "you need this update to download this" but if I go to check updates it says "everything is up to date". Been like that for years. So, there is literally no way for me to keep my game and files on this computer if I want to ever play the game again.) I use Sims 4 on my laptop A LOT. I use it to create characters and settings for TTRPGs, stories, etc. I don't have many families that I actually play. I think I've got 4 and I deleted the rest. However, as I was trying to transfer my stuff to Dropbox in order to get it over to my other computer, I noticed that the amount of files in the "Saves" folder is 660. There's no way I need all that, right? It's gonna be absolutely impossible transfer THAT many files. What files and folders do I ACTUALLY need to ensure that i can log into my game files on the new computer? Any help is GREATLY appreciatedOS not supported on Mac
Even though my Mac is on the latest update (Sequoia 15.3.1), the Epic Games sims launcher says "OS unsupported", and thus, I can't load up the game. Trying to do it from Origin doesn't work either, as it doesn't move past the "Connecting to Origin Screen". I've deleted and reinstalled both launchers however, nothing seems to work. I can't find answers online either.
