The recent patch on Mac..

Hey, so I thought I was having problems with my origin account the other day, as it ended up reinstalling all the Sims 4 packs on my Mac, but now obviously there are patch notes out saying this is some kind of reported problem..

I appreciate that it’s fixed, but what do I do to fix this as my Mac has now been acting up ever since, and I’m guessing it’s related to this double installation? If I launch the game is it gonna corrupt everything, should I be deleting folders? Does everything need to be removed and reinstalled? What’s the T please?
