Hey Veilguard, With Dragon Age almost here, we wanted to put together a guide in case you run into any issues starting your next adventure. If you are looking for technical assistance or information on how to report a bug to the team read on!!! 🐲 For information on technical issues click here ➡ #TechnicalIssues For details on how to submit a Bug Report click here ➡ #bugreport System Requirments: 💿Technical Issues 💿 Technical issues are problems that can often be solved with some troubleshooting. Check below for some common examples. I am unable to download Dragon Age I cannot launch Dragon Age I notice performance or other issues while playing I am unable to sign into my EA account (for downloading) If you are running into one of the above issues here are some tips to check first... For issues with signing into your EA accounts please see our Help Article; I can't log in to my EA Account Are you having an issue on your PC? Do you have the latest Windows updates and Graphics drivers? Have you checked your Anti-virus (or other security software)? Are you running any third-party programs or overlays in the background? Is your system Date/Time correct, or could you be running a VPN? Are you using any mods? (if so remove them, clean install your game, and test on a fresh save) If you've checked the above and continue running into an issue playing Dragon Age, you may need to give the following a shot (like an arrow shot... get it!) Run theSystem File Checker tool, then Check forWindowsandGPUupdates Default your PCto the dedicated Graphics card: Troubleshooting Graphics issues If an option is available, try capping your frame rate. You can also enable Vertical Sync (V-Sync) to match your frame rate to your display’s refresh rate. To repair the game files in the EA app, go to the Libraryand find your game. Click theManageicon, then clickRepair. Clear EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery) Check if any background applications are stopping the EA app or your game. Perform a clean boot of your PC to disable background tasks that may interfere with your game. Reinstall your game and potentially your PC client. Having an issue on an Xbox console? A good place to start with Xbox troubleshooting is power cycling your console. This can help with many of the most common issues we see. This process doesn't erase any of your games or data. How to power cycle your Xbox console: Turn off the Xbox console by pressing theXbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely. Unplug the console’s power cable. Wait 10 seconds. Important:Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply. Plug the console power cable back in. Press theXbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox. If you continue having an issue you might want to give the following a try: Make sure you have the latest software update. Quit the game and other running apps from Quick Resume(For Series X|S consoles) Unplug any devices attached to the USB slot. Troubleshoot your connection to EA games Open you're XboxNAT Type Clear the MAC Address. From the Xbox dashboard, click Settings, then go to All Settings. Go to Network, then Network Settings. Click Advanced Settings, then Alternate MAC address. Select Clear, then restart your Xbox. Reinstall the game. If you're using an external hard drive, consider installing it on the internal drive to see if that helps. Having an issue on a PlayStation console? Power cycling is usually the best place to start with PlayStation troubleshooting. This can tackle most of the common issues you might run into. How to power cycle your PlayStation console Touch the power button on the front of the PS4/PS5 for at least 7 seconds (until the system beeps twice). Turn it back on after 5 minutes. Launch the game. If you continue having an issue you might want to give the following a try: Make sure you have the latest software update. Unplug any devices attached to the USB slot. Restore the license for the game. Go to Settings on your PlayStation. Click Account Management then Restore Licenses.Clear the MAC Address. From the Xbox dashboard, clickSettings, then go toAll Settings. Go toNetwork, thenNetwork Settings. ClickAdvanced Settings, thenAlternate MAC address. SelectClear, then restart your Xbox. EnterSafe Mode and Rebuild your PS database. Reinstall your game. If you're using an external hard drive, consider installing it on the internal drive to see if that helps. Tip: If you're using an external hard drive for your console, whether or not it's for Dragon Age The Veilguard, make sure all of the game data is saved to the same storage drive. If the files are located on different drives it could cause errors or performance issues. If you have the game saved to an external storage drive, reinstalling it on the internal drive might help with crashes or errors. Back to the top 🐜 Bug Report 🐜 Bugs are problems you can't fix by yourself or with the help of our support team. We'll usually need to replicate the issue ourselves, then we can start working on a fix. Sometimes a patch or update to the game will be needed to apply the fix. Audio Problems Crashing/Freezing while playing a certain game mode Exploit to skip areas Unexpected Gameplay Before you submit a bug report, please use the search icon at the top of the EA forums and look for keywords related to what you're seeing. An example of a keyword could be "freezing," "Crashing," etc. If someone already reported the bug you're seeing, please reply to their thread and hit the "like button under the original poster's message. It's easier for us to keep track of reports when they're all in one place. It's important to be as specific as possible when submitting a bug report. We're looking for the following details: What is your EA ID or Console ID (PSN ID/Gamertag)? What platform are you playing on? What is happening? (and what do you expect to happen instead?) Does this happen in a specific area of the game? Please share any steps you've tried so far to resolve the issue: If possible, share a Screenshot or Clip... Hello! When playing the sims 4 I have asked other sims on a date or to hang out then travel to a restaurant. When requesting a table to be seated, nothing happens. The game doesn't proceed to the next action for the couple/friends to be seated. I have repaired and updated the game, but still no solution. I have noticed that when my sim is alone and requests a table to sit and dine, they are able to do so. It only happens during an event like asking on a date or hang out. I have tried different venues as well and happens no matter what venue I choose. Please how can this be fixed? So I do want to say I have had to start over, I was 30 hours into my first save, because I missed a companion quest and realize they are important for late game. So I decided to just start over. I’ve been looking into how to romance characters and keeping them alive while trying to stay as spoiler free as possible, but did see about how the choice for Minrathos and Treviso can cause bothe Lucanis and Neve to harden depending on which you choose. I chose Treviso in my first playthrough and plan to do it on my second because A, I decided to pick being a Crow as a background and B, I wanted to Romance Lucanis. People were saying that if you didn’t pick Treviso it would lock you out but now that I’m back and doing his first couple of companion quests, I realized something. The Bidding Farewell Companion Quest does NOT trigger as complete. So essentially not only does it lock you of of the Hero status for end game, but I also think it locks you out of the romance as well. Can anyone confirm to me whether this quest is complete for them? It’s the quest where you go to the little get together for the first Talon. I also checked my old save file and it isn’t marked as a Completed Quest there either.Gate of Pale Reflections Boss Not Spawning on PS5
I am currently working on the quest, Gate of Pale Reflections, but the boss does not spawn after destroying the Blight pod and then getting rid of the roots with champion essence. I have noticed that if I leave the area the blight pod respawns for some reason but not the gate. So that might be causing it. Ive fast traveled before and after breaking just the pod or the gate or both and nothing will get the boss to spawn. Plus the marker is still there like I haven’t put the essence in and destroyed the gate. When I do load the save though, everytime, Rook says something about breaking the Blight Pod even though it’s still there. I’ve been trying to figure this out for almost 2 hours.SolvedHair color keeps changing
I’m playing Veilguard on PS5, and I have a medium blonde preset hair color. It changes constantly depending on the lighting (despite looking fine in the different lighting options of character creation); for instance, sometimes it’s black, other times it’s brown, etc. The game seems to be running fine otherwise, but the hair color changing wildly is frustrating! Just wanted to report it in case others were experiencing it as well.Possible bug with Neve and Lucanis’ ‘Hero of the Veilguard’ status
Hi there, I’m not 100% sure if this is a bug or not because I can’t find the information online however after choosing between Traviso or Minrathos and either Neve or Lucanis become hardened. It seems like whoever is hardened never gets their ‘hero of the veilguard’ status. Even after completing all of their personal quests. I went into Aulas hideout and my objective is to kill all the darkspawn, but the darkspawn keep infinitely respawning. I've been fighting darkspawn for about 15 irl minutes now with no end in sight and no other way to progress the quest. I tried reloading a save and leaving and entering the hideout, to no avail.Necropolis Cascades chest locked by a wisp issue
There's a chest in the Necropolis halls - Cascades which is located behind a door locked by a wisp mech that is resolved from doing the braziers on the room to the right (The Spectral Court). It is where you have to Interact with a coffin and light up the braziers on a certain sequence to complete the puzzle. After lighting up the puzzles, I was able to get the coffin's rewards but the wisp does not spawn/follow for me to open the chest back in the Cascades. Am I missing something or is this a known issue?Overlapping festivals
The festivals from City Living keep stacking on top of one another instead of despawning. My SIM lives in 19 Culpepper House and I play on an Xbox One. I do not use any CC or mods as I am a console player I first noticed this bug yesterday 20/8/24 but it has escalated today, I tried going into manage worlds and back, visiting different lots and festival locations, and restarting the game.
