"From CD Keys to Digital Days: My Journey with The Sims 3"
As a long-time fan and supporter of The Sims franchise,I truly appreciate the creativity, freedom, and uniqueness that these games offer. The Sims 3,in particular, holds a special place in my heart.Over the years,I've spent countless hours enjoying its rich gameplay and detailed customization options. With the shift to digital platforms and newer updates like version 1.69,it's clear that EA has worked to make The Sims 3 more compatible with modern systems. This version helps eliminate many of the old issues, such as launcher problems, login errors,or CD key verifications, which often troubled users of the physical versions. However, many dedicated fans, including myself, still own and cherish the original CD versions. It's unfortunate that these older copies can sometimes face limitations or connection errors, even when we have legally purchased and supported the game from the beginning.I believe that continued support for CD versions,or a more flexible transition to digital, would be a great way to honor the loyal player base. While The Sims 4 offers new features, its aesthetic and emotional depth—especially with mods or paid content—feels different from the charm and freedom of The Sims 3.I fully support original games and continue to stay loyal, but I deeply miss playing The Sims 3 freely, without technical or internet-related issues. This isn't a complaint or criticism, but rather a hopeful message from someone who loves The Sims series and wants to see it remain accessible and enjoyable for everyone—newcomers and longtime players alike. I once wished for a little puppy...but instead, I discovered The Sims 3 Pets. And even after five years,it was one of the most wonderful experiences I’ve ever had.❤️🦋Hi my fellow simmers! I have a question about external hdd!
I read a lot of stuff about playing on external hdd. I want to, bc I have a 1tb external hdd and my laptop internal hdd not have enough space. MY QUESTION IS: How can I play with my mods and cc?:) I mean I use it and works on my internal hdd, BUT I know all this is on the Document folder that is on my internal.. So how do I play on my external hdd with mods and cc and ofc saves? :) Do I need to move my documents folder to the external hdd or something else? Is it safe? And if so how to do it?:) Or do you guys have other solutions? I’m not a techie I just know the basics, so please don’t be mean to my stupid brain:)120Views0likes4CommentsBye Sims 3
I love sims 3, and I love it 10 times more than the 4. Now I have this "Serious Error", and I am not skilled enough to fix it. Well, for me it looks like I have to give up the game. I don't understand the instructions about get rid of OneDrive and if I found out how to do it, how it would affect my PC and things I do on my PC. I cleared the cache, repaired the game, Uninsalled it, moved a folder (Licence)and a couple of other things the guys from EA HELP advised me to do, but I am not sure I did it correct. I understand that a 16 year old game can have problems on new computers, and I understand that there is no funds to make an update so all can use the game without changing the setup on their PC. I had a lot of fun on this game, and I hope if EA launch a "5" the gameplay will be "3"- inspired. Unfortunate I get so annoyed by trying to fix this "Serious Error" that it made my mood bad, so now I give up. Thanks for all the fun. So EA updates The Sims 1 and 2 to run on modern hardware, fixes bugs, and now re-releases them for $30 (plus a Sims 4 kit, because of course they had to throw that in). Meanwhile, The Sims 3 one of the most beloved yet notoriously unstable games in the franchise gets a single Alder Lake patch and is otherwise abandoned. They’re putting in the effort to make their oldest games playable on Windows 10/11, but they can’t be bothered to fix Sims 3’s memory issues, stuttering, or overall performance? We’re still forced to rely on mods and external fixes just to get the game to run properly, and they still sell it at full price on EA App/Steam without any real support. It’s frustrating seeing EA put effort into these re-releases while Sims 3 arguably their most ambitious game is left to rot. If they can fix up The Sims 1 and 2, why can’t they do the same for Sims 3?303Views3likes8CommentsHello There I have a Problem Witm Sims 3

Been gone quite a while, but am here once more! So much has changed-number one thing is my pic is a boy lol! I'm just starting over here, so I'll have to haunt the forums to find what I need.. Mostly the tutorials. I tried uploading Astarion, Gale, and Shadowheart from Bauldur's Gate 3-and it goes through the motions, but it never shows up in my studio. Not sure why this is! Well, just checking in here! Happy Simming, ya'll!!!!129Views0likes8Commentsplease tell me it'll be easier than
..trying to install an older version of origin? hi everybody, i was redirected here from reddit on the advice that there are some active CAW users that might be able to help me out. i got it downloaded and installed after i redownloaded all my s3 expacs, but every time i try to launch it, i get a 'protected memory' error. from everything i've read, it seems like it runs easiest through origin rather than the stupid app, but i was praying someone might have a trick? i've already spent so long troubleshooting the base game install on a new gaming pc, after recovering my EA account in the first place, and i'm kinda starting to burn out.
