Lack of official servers & too many cheats!
In the past week (or two) it seems there are much fewer official DICE servers to choose from, especially in the Asia region (Singapore specifically). Now, before you throw in the old 'servers are determined by active players' nonsense – there are plenty of active players for BF V in the Asia region, but because you are taking down all the servers, we can't play, and when we do play, we get inundated with hackers because you are also not doing anything about stopping them. Just yesterday I was in a game on one of the only 2 DICE servers in the region, and it had no less than 4 hackers on one team!!! They all get reported, yet they are getting to higher and higher levels, and nothing gets done about them. It ruins the game and makes players leave and stop playing, which reduces the amount of active players. You're killing your own game by not dealing with this bullsh*t!11Views1like3CommentsBattlefield 5 Slow Startup and Long Loading Time
Update (Edited: 06-08-2025): Even BF6's open beta loads fine on the same PC—just 50 seconds from clicking "Play" to reaching the main menu. Update (Edited: 30-07-2025): Performed a clean reinstall of Windows 11 and the game still takes over two minutes to load. A friend of mine with a different setup is experiencing the same issue. I suspect the problem is related to the anti-cheat or the game itself. I’ve attached a screen recording to this forum post showing the problem, including an on-screen stopwatch and Task Manager for reference. Original Post: For EA Staff & Devs Bug Report ID: 6ad91d36-9f32-4e49-98f0-e1c42c510896 Help Case ID: #215668482 I recently updated the BIOS and Windows on my laptop. Everything seemed to be running smoothly—until I noticed that launching BF5 now takes significantly longer than it used to. Only BF5 is affected, I timed it with a stopwatch and the startup consistently takes around 2.5 minutes. The other games' load time from pressing play till it enters full-screen are: BF3 = 12 Seconds BF4 = 16 Seconds BF1 = 40 Seconds Issue description: After clicking Play in the EA App, the EA Anti-Cheat launches and initializes normally. Once the Anti-Cheat finishes, there's a 30-33 second delay before the game window appears. The game remains in small window and shows a black screen for another 50-60 seconds. Eventually, the game maximizes into a full-screen window and loads the title screen. Once fully open, the game runs fine, except it loads map extremely slowly as well. Here's what I've tried so far: Confirmed that Windows and NVIDIA drivers are fully up to date. Repaired, reinstalled, and cleared the cache for both the EA App and BF5. Ran both the EA App and BF5 with administrator privilege and in offline + clean boot. Ran both the EA App and BF5 on a different SSD, ensure SSD firmware are up to date. Performed a reinstall of the NVIDIA driver using DDU; cleared DirectX and NVIDIA GL caches. Reinstalled Windows using the "Fix problems with Windows Update" in-place upgrade. Reset BIOS to default settings, did a CMOS reset too. Unfortunately, none of these steps have resolved the issue, and I’m starting to run out of ideas. Has anyone else experienced this? I’d appreciate any tips or suggestions. For reference (especially if any DICE developers are reading this), here’s the BIOS update I installed: https://support.hp.com/nz-en/drivers/swdetails/omen-by-hp-16.1-inch-gaming-laptop-16-k0000/model/2101129710/swItemId/ob-348379-1 I’ve also attached my DxDiag file to this post in case it’s helpful.3.8KViews11likes17Commentsbattlefield v is not lunching anymore
Hi everyone, I have a 1‑month EA Play subscription through Steam. I installed BF1 and BFV. BF1 works perfectly, but BFV stopped launching after 2 days. When I click "Play", the "Preparing Game" pop‑up appears, then nothing – only the EA app opens. The game never starts. I tried: Launching from Steam and EA app – same issue Reinstalling EA app Verifying game files on Steam (all fine) Restarting PC and updating drivers BF1 still works fine, so the problem seems specific to BFV. Any ideas? Thanks!11Views0likes0CommentsBF1 occasionally freezes entire PC
As the title says, occasionally when I play BF1, the game slows down visibly almost to a freeze. This slowing down is applied to the entire computer, and actually closing the game doesn't resolve the issue. I have to reboot my entire PC for it to run normally again. It's not a big problem, as it occurs say only once a month, but it is odd. My PC's fans don't speed up, and BF1 is the only application this happens with. This and the fact that closing the game doesn't fix it, makes me think that it is anti-cheat related. Anybody out there with the same issue, and perhaps with a solution? My PC's specs are: CPU: AMD 7600x3D Mobo: MSI Tomahawk B650 DRAM: Corsair 32 GB 6000 Mhz DDR5 Expo GPU: RTX 5070 12GB (drivers up to date) PSU: NZXT gold 3.1 850W SSD: (2x) Samsung 990 Pro 1TB NVMe Display: (2x) 24" Iiyama 1080p OS: Windows 11 Home (& Linux Mint on 2nd NVMe), Secure Boot enabled on both OS'sBattlefield 1 crashing PC and causing driver corruption for AMD graphics card
In the title, any time I try to join a lobby of BF1, as soon as I get placed into the game, both of my screens go black, I get an error sound of some sort (but I can't see the error to tell what it is, I attached the Windows log from the crash), and I have to manually restart my PC. After restarting, my second monitor won't turn on because somehow Battlefield has caused the AMD drivers to corrupt, which leads to an infinite loop of installing AMD graphics, in which the only way to fix it is to go to AMD's website and manually download the correct drivers for my PC. After reinstalling the drivers, my PC goes back to normal. This only started happening after last week's update, which I presume was to update the anticheat in some way. I am using the most up to date drivers for AMD. System Specs: Ryzen 5 7600x3d Ryzen RX 7900XT 32GB Gskill FlareX5 6000Mhz Any help would be appreciated. I saw someone else posted about this on the BF1 Reddit, just wanted to get the word out about this issue.Servers are (almost) unplayable: lag + stuttering
On top of the ongoing chat bug (for well over 3 weeks now, basically nobody can type/send messages), there’s a new major issue since the last 1–2 days: the servers are almost unplayable. What’s happening: heavy lag constant stuttering / hitching during gameplay This is not limited to one region — it affects both EU and Asian servers, and it happens on community servers as well as official DICE servers.10KViews56likes169CommentsFalse PunkBuster GUID Global Ban after 3 years of absence (BF3 & BF4)
Hello EA Community and Support Team, I am writing this post because I am completely at a loss and need some advice or help from the Community Managers. I haven't played the game in about 3 years. Recently, I wanted to jump back in for a round of Battlefield, only to find out that I have received a global GUID ban from PunkBuster that affects both Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 on my account. I have been playing shooter games for as long as they exist and I have never used a cheat in my life. In fact, I have a long history in the community and used to be an admin on some of the most well-known servers across multiple games, including official admin duties for Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4. My stats are completely transparent. I have played over 7,800 hours in BF3 and more than 1,000 hours in BF4 without a single issue. My BF4DB profile is 100% clean with a 0% cheat score. Account Details: In-Game Name: Pr-Guard GUID: 5b8eff45 BF4DB Profile: https://bf4db.com/player/522373658 Since I am completely clueless about what caused this, I can only guess that it might be a false positive related to the official software/driver for my Patriot "Viper Gaming Mouse" which I installed after freshly reinstalling my Windows 10 OS. However, this is pure speculation on my part as I am completely at a loss. I have already tried to submit a ticket to Even Balance, but they are completely unresponsive. Is there any way an EA Community Manager can forward this case or pass my clean history to Even Balance? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Best regards, Pr-Guard113Views0likes3Comments[[[Please Fix BF1 Conquest So We Can Play The Way We Deserve]]]
Iv been playing Battlefield 1 sence release date and took only 3 years worth of a break because conquest lobbies were not poping up and i returned last week and [STILL] there are barely any conquest lobbies, and as i write this there are 0 conquest lobbies for the past 2 days. I feel like EA doesnt care about us bf1 conquest enthusiasts or haven't for what feels like too long. please fix it...some of us built our 40k+ streaming career from playing ONLY conquest mode. Sincerely, my heart is crying at age 26 [Edit: All caps removed from title - ElliotLH]
