High School "Exit" traits not saving to the Gallery
This issue is with the expansion pack, High School Years. I was saving a "fleshed out" sim character to the Gallery, testing it out before uploading it online (Gallery). The sim I made has the Valedictorian trait, meaning he is a graduated in Copperdale High School with as a valedictorian, or the highest honor, I suppose. I age him up to a Young Adult, have him go to the Foxbury Institute and graduate with a distinguished degree in Biology with high honors, then age him up to a fully grown Adult. Upon saving him with traits like the Valedictorian trait, I didn't think any of it. But when I load him to a different save from the local Gallery, I check his traits and the Valedictorian trait is missing. Almost every aspect of his progress in in-game life is saved except for two things: said trait, and his household funds being §50,000. I remember household funds catches upon saving the household to the Gallery, locally or online. So this might've broke somewhere down the line of many updates, and no one's noticed. But my concern is with his high school "exit" trait - it is how they're called in the codes - Valedictorian. I don't know if it also goes for the other exit traits like Graduated with Honors, Graduated High School Early, etc. My sim's Biology degree is saved in the household, his milestones, his skills, his career... except for this one trait and his original household funds reverting to §20,000 like a new household. Even the reward traits like Sickness Resistance from becoming level 8 in the Doctor (active) career from Get To Work is saved, his character value trait, Good Manners, and the Romantic Sage trait from Lovestruck is saved. But not his Valedictorian trait, which is odd to me. Has anyone gotten this issue before as well? Is it addressed somewhere, or no? I wish - hope - it was, even if many are "casual" players who wouldn't actually care for such a thing. And I hope this wouldn't be dismissed as well. I would ignore this if I weren't to always cheat every time I add him, and I plan to upload him online to the Gallery for everyone to add him as well. So this trait being missing would be kind of a bummer.
New bug in the Gallery
For a few weeks there has been a bug in the gallery that causes that when a publication is reported its downloads to be put at 0, this is being taken advantage of by a group of players who report the publications with the most downloads to remove them from the "popular now" section several players are being victims of this abuse that breaks the FairPlay, I would like you to please investigate this new problem.
[FR] Can't Go to Manage Worlds After Changing Lot to Residential Rental
I've waited for over an hour to save my game while in build mode. Once finished, I hit the Manage Worlds button: Downloaded lot from gallery. It was set to Residential and I changed to Residential Rental. Designated apartments. Placed apartment mailbox, fuse box and water heater objects. Double checked lot/apartment info; made sure all necessary objects are placed i.e. toilet/shower etc. Tried to save game; this took 1 hour 5 minutes. So far it's been 16 minutes and it's still loading. EDIT: More info. Force quit game. Cleared caches and deleted scratch folder inside Saves folder. Loaded the save that took ages to save. Clicked on lot that is now correctly set as a Residential Rental but now, there is a big red X where it should show what the inside of the apartments look like. This is actually my second attempt at placing a lot from the Gallery, changing to Residential Rental and this bug appears. I have already repaired my game and did a "folder refresh". EDIT 2: Wow okay so after even more testing, I finally found that the problem was either Live Anywhere But Battu by Bosselady or No Fade on Everything by MizoreYukii. I'm leaning more towards the first mod because it is a new mod I've added recently; I actually have a few residential rental lots that I haven't had any previous problems with. I'm just mentioning the second mod to be safe (just in case someone is Googling about this in the future). And even after removing the mod, the problem actually persisted. To fix: I added the mod back. I removed each of the apartments (trash can icon in UI) and turned the last rooms to "shared area" (DO NOT BULLDOZE BECAUSE THAT IS ANOTHER BUG). I set the lot to regular Residential. Save the game. Quit and then restart/load save. Check to make sure you can load the lot and the lot thumbnail is correct. As long as it is correctly set to Residential, now you can bulldoze if you want. That should be it. You can delete the mod safely as long as you don't have any other lots that are Residential in Granite Falls/Selvadorada.
[HR] Ghost horse lived after adding to household
This is a huge annoyance, I recently added a ghost horse to a household I made for The Sims 4 Life And Death EP and when I dropped them on a residential lot the horse was alive and not a ghost so I waited till the horse died of old age and placed the gravestone on the lot from my sims inventory and click on the add ghost to household interaction and the result was that the horse came back as a living horse, not a ghost horse but a living horse. EA/The Sims 4 needs to fix this big periodtt. Edit By Crinrict: Adjusted Title
Sims 4 Gallery freezing pc
Hello, I am having issues with the game. Each time the gallery is opened, it's takes a couple of seconds and everything freezes. I can move the mouse, but everything is frozen. I can only press the window key and restart the laptop. I tried closing game with task manager, but nothing happens. I have deleted everything Sims 4 related on the PC. That's including the EA app and removing all mods of the PC. After installing the EA app and Sims 4, the same thing keeps happening. I don't know what to do now, because this is also happening on another PC. Both my PC are less than a year new, and run other games like cod, cyberpunk, Skyrim etc... without any issues. So it's not a PC hardware issue. Any help is much appreciated.
Issues uploading Lot to Gallery
Hello, I need some help. I have a lot I have been using with my family for a few generations. I understand that there is a file size limit for uploading lots to the Gallery (google search revealed this to be 10mb). However, I seem to be unable to upload my lot to the Gallery unless I get the file size down to 3mb. I have a fair few photo portraits and paintings from reference around, but I don't believe it to be an unreasonable amount. My Lot size sits at 8mb if I keep everything out. But when I try to upload it to the gallery, it just hangs forever and never completes. If I put away a bulk of the photos and paintings and get the file size down to 3mb, it uploads almost instantly. What is going on? The amount of pictures I have to put away to get the file size to 3mb is quite absurd, leaving the walls in many rooms blank.
Lots not downloading correctly
Hello! I am very much NOT a builder in TS4. I frequently download lots from the gallery and usually don’t have any issues! However, since the L&D expansion came out, as well as the newest update, when I download builds from the gallery, a lot of the landscaping is just gone. I use lilsimsie’s and gryphi’s builds the most and I know they use debug plants quite frequently, but I’ve never had a problem like this before. Also, the mailboxes will be moved and other random objects that they’ve placed. For example, the host stand in lilsimsie’s restaurant she built in Strangerville called Stanley’s Wraps-To-Wiches completely disappeared so I had to place it. Obviously that’s not a big deal but it is annoying. Lol. Especially the bare lots with no landscaping.
The Gallery Not Connecting
A few weeks ago I noticed that my gallery will not connect. It says I am offline even though my Internet is fine and the EA app is online. Whenever I press the go online button it just loads and never stops. I tried clearing out the tray files, removed all mods, repaired the game, but it still will not connect.
