[CL] [ECO] X on map when trying to place Sims in downloaded apartments

So, this is the dilemma...

I wanted to create my own savefile for my vision and storyline for my sim.  First thing I do is choose a random sim on a new save and move them to an empty lot. Go to my settings and change life span to long and weather to 2 weeks and keep werewolves in their world.  I will then manage world and delete the sim. I will then go to the panel with all households and delete everyone except the NPC that do not currently reside in any of the lots. Then one world at a time I go through the gallery and pick builds that fit my style and place them. So, the ISSUE comes in when I place lots in the stone street apartments. As you can see in the picture attached, I get a huge X when trying to go back to the lot to place sims. I know other simmers have gotten the lama in the picture instead of the X. I read this is a bug within the game. When I place my lots and create my savefile I do not use any cc or mods.  I also read somewhere someone mention having to place a wall and flooring to get it work however this does not for me. I also noticed this happened in San Myshuno when placing lots in the apartment 2a Jasmine suites (Bheeda typical home) which will then affect the welcome wagon (no one will show up) which is a part of my sims story line as I placed certain neighbors in specific apartments. Now after all lots are placed, I then add NPC remakes to the new homes I created. I then will add my CC/Mods to the game and place the sims I created using mods and cc into the game. The moment I start playing my active household, I will cheat add money, use mods to cheat relationships and "backstories" and then move out sims are supposed to live in other places out. Now one of my sims is supposed to live in Stonestreet apartment however when I click on the apartment I will either get the X or another lot will displace in place of what is supposed to be there. I have deleted and recreated my savefile twice and the same issue has occurred. At this point I am not sure what is the issue. But I refuse to keep having to remake my savefile as this can take a week to complete.

And side note I am still having gallery issues. Not being able to save creators to my friends list and when I favorite lots, sims or rooms, exit the game and sign back on everything I favorited is no longer there!

Can someone please help me?

  • I'm having a really similar problem with the exact same lot. I renovated the apartments and added households from the Gallery. But now the lot is showing as a random room and not allowing me to see either apartment, or select the households. Its annoying and I dont know what I can try to fix it.

I'm now having a similar issue. I edited the apartments months ago and they have been working just fine. However, upon replacing the "Shipping Views" lot with one from the gallery...it has somehow affected the Stonestreet Apartments. The map preview image for the apartments is now the newly replaced Shipping Views lot, and I am unable to select the lot as a whole. It's just a stuck image and there is nothing that allows me to enter or interact with the lot. I don't understand how this even happened, the lots have nothing to do with each other, stonestreet apartments were not being edited in any way at the time.

I have tried bulldozing the Shipping Views lot, however, the glitched image remains. This did not resolve the issue.

I also tried loading the save file from four days prior to this edit. The Shipping Views lot and all others edited have reverted back to how it was. And yet...the Stonestreet Apartments remains affected, showing the preview of a lot that shouldn't even technically exist in this save file. I am unable to enter or edit the lot no matter which save file I select. I went back three save files before I decided to not corrupt the rest.
