Daily Deal (DD) 2018 Rotation List and Sales Help
The Daily Deal List and Sales Help The editing issues with this thread have been fixed by EA_David! The long process now begins to relink hyperlinks where possible and to delete information relevant only to the previous forum. Note that the lists of daily deals in the posts at the beginning of this thread are under review as entries were eliminated during the migration from the previous forum. For an accurate list, see the new posts in this thread that RadicalChick posts daily. Also view the DD spreadsheet. The Sims 3 Store Daily Deal offers a selected store item at a discounted price for one, two or three hours. Many of the items are discounted at 75% off or more. The current Daily Deal list, which was introduced on September 23, 2014 at 12:07 a.m. UTC, includes 977 deals. After the 977th deal ends, the deals begin at Deal 1 again. A full rotation of the list takes 82 days. (See this post for background information about the Daily Deal list.) The first page of this thread has been set up to include the list of the deals, and to include information that was available on the first page of the previous DD threads. To the first time user, this thread contains a lot of information. To help you find the information you are seeking, the first post is a contents list with hyperlinks to posts and threads within the Sims 3 forum to help Simmers own the store or at least as much content as they would like and, to get the most value for their simpoints. Note - This thread replaces the original "September 2014 Daily Deals Rotation List" thread created by Ximph that you may see referenced in comments below. The original thread is now closed and relevant information from that thread can be found within this thread. ***** NOTEWORTHY EA App and Store content - EA_Cade has confirmed that all Sims 3 content owned in the web store is compatible with the EA app. See the original post here. EA_Cade also provides a link to download Origin Thin Setup should you want to reinstall Origin. If you are having difficulties downloading store content in the EA app, check out this thread in EA Answers HQ. However, EA_Cade posted in Answers HQ that "This issue should now be resolved with the latest EA app update (please ensure that you are on EA app build 12.115.0.5372 or later). " Merelhyn created a thread to provide simmers with guidelines on purchasing all the sets, compilations and venues available in the Sims 3 Store for the least amount of simpoints. SpiredMoth's Cheapest Paths website provides updates to Merelhyn's guidelines with 2022 costs for the cheapest paths to complete of sets and compilations. SpiredMoth has also created the S3S Tools spreadsheet to help save as many simpoints as possible with your store purchases. The spreadsheet includes the Make Me an Offer Checker and Complete Your Set calculator. Game launcher crashes when I open the downloads tab in Sims 3, maybe someone has ideas how to fix this problem. I play in Mac. I uninstalled everything and then reinstalled but unfortunately it didn't help. I bought a new world - Roaring Heights Gold Edition but I can't download it in my game when launcher crashes.1.8KViews9likes53Comments[CURRENT ISSUE] Sims 3 Store content uninstalls/won't reinstall, EA App
Overview There is currently an issue with the EA App where installed Sims 3 Store content uninstalls itself or otherwise disappears from the game when it was previously working. The most obvious symptom of this is that in the launcher, the content's thumbnail turns into a box: Reinstalling the content works some of the time, but not always, and the items will frequently disappear again later, perhaps as soon as the next time the game loads. If the player reuses the previously downloaded Sims3Packs rather than downloading fresh copies, the install will likely fail to install and produce this error: If you are affected, please click Me Too at the bottom of this post. Reinstalling store content Please keep in mind that you cannot reuse your old downloads. If you do, you'll likely get the "Installation failed" error. The most thorough approach to reinstalling is to start with a clean user folder: move or rename the Sims 3 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts and open the launcher to spawn a new one. Download your store items a few at a time and install them, then move your saves and other existing content to the corresponding subfolders within the new Sims 3 folder. Please keep in mind that this is a temporary fix at best. The other workaround is to reinstall Origin, if it still works for you. https://answers.ea.com/t5/Origin-Client-Web-Technical/Downloading-and-installing-Origin-Windows-and-Mac/m-p/11915666Solved12KViews8likes205CommentsSims 3 Launcher "There are no packages to install"
Hello, I'm trying to install custom content on the launcher but it tells me "there are no packages to install" I'm not sure what to do, I tried clearing my cache and restarting my laptop. I also tried removing my Sims 3 document files to generate a new one I know it can be installed as package files through other ways but i'd still want my launcher to work. Please let me know what the solution is. Thank you so much!Solved11KViews8likes127CommentsCan't Buy SimPoints on Store.TheSims3.com?
Hey all, At the moment the "Buy SimPoints" link on TheSims3.com is redirecting to the new EA app instead of the correct store page. However, players can still purchase SimPoints on the EA app for PC (and Origin on Mac) to redeem on TheSims3.com and in-game stores while this issue is corrected. Thanks!Solved31KViews7likes91Comments[Current Issue] Sims 3 Store world can't register/install
Overview This guide is for registering and installing standalone worlds from the Sims 3 Store, specifically those bought with money. That list includes Dragon Valley, Hidden Springs, Monte Vista, Roaring Heights, and sometimes Barnacle Bay. If you bought a Store world with SimPoints and it's not appearing in your purchase history on the Store site, please contact EA customer support and request that the SimPoints from the failed purchase be added back to your account. How to register a Store world jump to: My code doesn't work jump to: I can't install the world When you purchase a standalone Sims 3 world from Origin or the EA App, you should receive an email confirmation from EA. If you don't see this, check your spam filter. This email should include one product code per item, as shown here in the blacked-out red box: IMPORTANT: Some players have reported finding their product codes on ea.com, under Account Settings > Order History, so please look there as well. If you never received this email and it's not in your spam folder, please contact EA customer support. https://help.ea.com/en/ If you can't find the live chat option, try this link instead, while signed into this or any other EA site: https://help.ea.com/en/help-contact-us/?product=the-sims-3&topic=missing-game&category=manage-my-account&subcategory=find-missing-game Otherwise, go to this site: https://store.thesims3.com/ Sign in with the same email address and password that you use for other EA sites, scroll to the bottom of the page, and click "Redeem a Code." Enter the code you've received, and the world should appear in your account. You can then download it from your purchase history (Store > My Store Account > Purchase History) or its product page. https://store.thesims3.com/worldProductDetail.html?categoryId=12642 ↑ My code doesn't work If you are sure you've never used this code, but the Store site tells you it's invalid or already been redeemed, you'll need to contact EA customer support to ask for a refund. https://help.ea.com/en/ I strongly recommend using live chat rather than email. If you don't see the option, change the location in your browser window to U.S. or U.K., or choose a slightly different category of issue. At the moment, Sims 3 > [Mac\PC] > Manage My Account > Find Missing Game offers the live chat option below the email form. If EA support doesn't help, please say so in this thread. If support does help, please post anyway letting me know what world(s) caused the issue so we can look for patterns. ↑ I can't install the world If you're getting the "there are no packages to install" error, please see this post: Re: Sims 3 Launcher "There are no packages to install" | EA Forums - 11190163 The standard way to download a world is to go to its product page or open your purchase history (Store > My Store Account > Purchase History), then click the Download button. If this isn't working for you, try a different browser. Firefox generally works best with the Store site. It is generally unnecessary to sign into the launcher before attempting to download or install Store content. However, this has helped some players, so it's worth trying. Mac users only: if you see an Error Downloading Content {0}, please repair the game in Origin, restart your computer, and try again. If the world still won't download properly, try a clean Sims 3 user folder. Rename the existing "The Sims 3" folder in Documents > Electronic Arts, open the launcher to create a new folder, and try to download only that world. If it works, you can move the downloaded world from the new Sims 3 folder to the old one you renamed, trash the new folder, and change the old one's name back to "The Sims 3." Downloaded Store items are found in the Downloads subfolder and have the extension .Sims3Pack. Be sure to delete any older downloads of the world before moving over the fresh copy. If the world downloads properly but doesn't install, please try a clean Sims 3 user folder as well. Rename the existing "The Sims 3" folder in Documents > Electronic Arts, open the launcher to create a new folder, download only that world, and try to install it. If this works, you can install the rest of your Store content into that folder, then move over your saves and any other files you'd like to keep. Please see this guide for a list. If reinstalling all of your Store content would be a burden, or you're confused about another part of this process, please ask for further help in this thread. ↑15KViews7likes609CommentsSims 3 nothing works that is from store and exchange
@ Maxis tech support or whoever is still maintaining the Sims 3 and its expansions and content from the store and exchange I do hope someone is still maintaining the Sims 3 game, which has an active digital store asking for real money to purchase items, or the Federal Trade Commission and the Consumer Rights Bureau will hear about it ASAP I have been out of the Sims 3 since Jan 2025 now, in June 2025, trying to play again Sims 3, I was prompted to install the newest version of the EA app, which I was forced, since I had no other choice - I wasn't happy about it, because every update brings more problems than it solves, but it couldn't play otherwise, so I had to do it after that, launching Sims 3 I realized that nothing from the premium digital store http://www.store.thesims3.com nothing works, and I'm talking about especially the premium content that was purchased with real money, like extra worlds Midnight Hallow and Roaring Heights, just to name a few, but other virtual assets, in the hundreds, I'd say and in my stupid naivety, I was planning to buy the Lucky Palms, Monte Vista and Sunlit Tides, so like a fool, I was ready to drop $30+ more on new (to me) premium content now, nothing works anymore in the launcher is not recognized as being installed I've tried to reinstall the worlds, the premium content, but it's not working I have saved games from those two premium worlds, Midnight Hallow and Roaring Heights, and I can't load them to continue my stories in-game I can't start a new game with those two worlds, which also come with custom content and items so basically, nothing that I've paid for is working properly anymore after the last EA app update I've tried to download again the content, those two worlds - and a few other assets, out of hundreds that I have - it tellls me was downloaded successfully, yet the launcher won't start with the worlds as installed, won't allow me to load older games, nor to start a new game in those worlds why are you breaking the only Sims game, Sims 3, that's worth attention?? hoping we're going to move to Sims 4, that's a disaster..??.. no, we won't move to Sims 4, I'd rather play inZoi than move to Sims 4 I've spent a lot of money on expansion packs and premium content from the store on Sims 3, and I expect to use it and play it, as normal, like any other player who did the same... what can I do to fix it..??..293Views4likes8CommentsStore Content Uninstalls Itself and Cannot Be Reinstalled
I've enjoyed TS3 for many years, but recently I've run into an issue that is bringing me to my wits' end. Starting a few months ago, my game has begun to stop recognizing my installed store content. The game will work without any issue for days or even weeks. Then, without any warning, one day I'll open the launcher and be able to tell that the game is broken again because my 'Installed Content' tab lists only my installed store venues (as CC) and nothing else. If I try to reinstall my store content from my Downloads, the game gives me the following error: "Installation failed: Please make sure your game has the latest Software Updates and try again." In the past, I had some success fixing this issue by doing the following: Rename the Electronics Arts Folder containing this file to something like "Old-Electronic Arts" Attempt to open the game by launching the game through the EA App. This will generate a brand new EA folder. Close the game. Copy the Saves, Screenshots, SavedSims, Mods, Library, Recorded Videos and Installed World folders directly from the Old-EA folder to the newly generated Electronics Arts/Sims 3 folder. 4. Open the Old- version of the DCCache folder and copy all .ebc and .dbc files (anything that is not a .tmp or the missingdeps.idx file) and paste it into the new DCCache folder in the newly generated Sims 3 folder. Do the same thing with ccmerged.package in DCBackup. The first time I encountered this problem, that was all I needed to do to fix it. The next time, I was baffled when this exact same process failed to fix the problem. I then added a 5th step of deleting the SigsCache folder from the NEW file after it failed to load, and miraculously, my content was back. The problem is that even now that doesn't work. My last desparate attempt to fix the issue was to do a complete reinstall of the game. I then redownloaded every piece of store content from the store website, and found that I was actually able to install everything properly. After about an hour, my game was finally working again. That lasted for three days. I opened the game up again today... and all of my content was gone once again. I realize now that the only way the game will actually install my store content is if it's downloaded directly from the store while the launcher is open. If I attempt to use what it's downloaded previously, I receive the same error about software updates. I've also noticed that SOME of my old content will actually be reinstalled. Most of the items appear without thumbnails in the launcher, but a few random items in the launcher still show up properly. Those few items will re-install without the launcher complaining, but it refuses to process the rest of the folder. As far as I can tell, there is no difference between the items that it still recognizes and the ones it demands that I re-download. Obviously, I cannot re-download the entire store every single time I want to play the game. Does anyone have any idea how to stop this problem from cropping up, and why it's happening in the first place?237Views3likes17Comments
