The Sims Medieval Refusing to Download on Mac
I'm so fed up. The EA website stated that the game was playable on Mac, but only when it was downloaded onto the EA app, it claimed it could only be run on Windows. I spent half an hour on the live chat being provided "advice" that was irrelevant to my problems, though I followed it all anyway, just to be told this was a consistent problem? After all of that, they refused my refund request, despite the refund guarantee. Is there anyway to play this game on Mac? I'm a student, and I don't have money to waste on unplayable games. Thanks for any advice.Solved972Views3likes5CommentsA remake of The Medieval Sims
Hello everyone! I wonder if there are those out there who think a remake or an upgrade of The Medieval Sims would be a great Idea. It would be an excellent idea if they could make a better version of the game to make it so fun for medieval theme lovers. Significantly, if they could remake the original sims to better game versions, I'm hoping they can do the same for the medieval one. I'm just pitching the idea out here, hoping it would come true. It might not work out, but it doesn't hurt to pitch in ideas and to say my opinion. I know there could be pros and cons anyone could see, but as someone who's a Sims player and loves medieval games and royal-like role-plays, I think it would be a fantastic idea, especially if there could be different classes in the game. I'm hoping to hear everyone's opinions on this idea.Hello, the game is a little bugged, that is all.
See the bug in all its glory. So in all the hours that I've played this game, I never ran into the problem that nobody in the castle could move or enter the castle. Yep, you heard that correctly, all AI ceased to work out of nowhere. Then I deleted one Caged Crab. He was just chilling, minding his own business. He wasn't even in the way, he was just somewhere on the ground. But his removal fixed the entire castle. 5/7, would find an edge-case bug for an 8 year old game again.217Views1like2CommentsI trained my queen too well
I was doing a quest with my blacksmith. I was mining rocks when my blacksmith got a picture of a sim over her head and she acted like she was sad. So I checked the pit and the queen had sent someone there who didn't make it out alive. I had a laugh and I wondered what the sim did to make my queen send them there. :DCan Testing Cheats really damage your game?
So, I've been playing the Sims Medieval for a little while. I haven't gotten very far yet, but I decided to use testing cheats, because there were times when I was sick of my sims needing to fill their needs when they were in the middle of a time sensitive activity that didn't have much time left. I just needed to do a few simple things now and then with the cheats, nothing much. But I hear stuff all over the internet, and in the commands file that I had to change, that Testing Cheats can really screw up or damage your game, make you lose your progress, or cause glitches. Now I'm really worried that I could permanently damage my game. Should I be worried, or am I fine?2.4KViews1like6CommentsBlack screen
I started up TSM today, only to find that the screen goes completely black. I can hear sounds. When I minimize the game and hover my mouse over the icon on the task bar, I can see the game screen. When maximized, its all black again. I have repaired the game, but that didn't help at all. Does anyone know what is causing this, and what I can do? Searching AHQ didn't bring any results, unfortunately. ETA: Nevermind. Since I couldn't access the options in game, I edited the options.ini file: fullscreen = 1 to fullscreen = 0 Just in case anyone else has this problem.486Views1like2CommentsDo you have to engage with wizards?
In any mandatory quests or anything? Im interested in the game but I dont want to do any interactions with any occult characters. Is the wizard (or any spells, witches, whatever) occults integral to the game or main plots? Or are there alternatives in the game to get the same project done?148Views1like2CommentsService initialization failed
I have the TSM/P&N special edition that I purchased on Origin a few years back after losing my disc copy. Had a ton of issues getting it to launch on either Win 7 or 10 for the longest time, but found a workaround and was able to play fine for a while. It's been 6 months, so I don't remember what the previous fix was. When I try to launch the game now, everything looks normal at first... but then, it automatically switches to windowed mode and stays on a black screen. And, if I tab, there's a new window with the error message: "service initialization failed" and a string of random letters/numbers. Repairing the game does not fix the problem, and I am not having trouble with any other games. The only information I can find online is several years old and is for Mac users (I'm on PC). My system definitely exceeds the min. requirements, as this is a custom build that's less than a year old. If anyone can help me track down a fix that's not a clean reinstall, I'd appreciate the help. TY!926Views1like2Comments
