The Sims Medieval not launching
I bought the Sims Medieval two days ago. While the game and the P&N DLC seem to install fine, neither will launch. I don't get a screen, error, or anything. I get the spinning loading icon, and then Origin pops back up. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game five times. I've tried launching it with and without P&N installed. I've repaired the files and tried launching them. I've tried running it in compatibility mode and as an administrator. I deleted the cache files in Origin and on my PC. I cannot seem to get this game to launch no matter what I do. The most luck I've had was to go into the Program Files (x86) > Origin Games > Sims Medieval > Game > Bin, and then tried launching the game and the launcher from there. The launcher gave me an error saying "Unable to start. Please reinstall the Sims Medieval base game." I'm wondering if there's a setting on my computer that's blocking this, but I can't think of what. I'm on Windows 10.Solved30KViews0likes42CommentsSims Medieval and Windows 10
Hi, I have disk versions of both Sims Medieval and its expansion and both were purchased at release. The game runs on my Windows 7 desktop but I tried installing them on my new Windows 10 laptop and it won't run. Plus I'm afraid that if (when) I purchase another Windows 10 computer the same thing will happen. What do I do? Thanks.24KViews0likes46CommentsA Heart Full of Stars {A Medieval Story} Chapter 70 *Finale* now! 5/28/21
Casting call! So, this is one of the most informal casting calls ever. Here’s what’s happening: I have a story idea for a Medieval setting, and since I’m kinda burnt on playing Sim driven stories, it’s going to be plot driven. Because it’s medieval and there isn’t a lot of Medieval clothes in the vanilla Sims, I have a page on Pinterest with all sorts of Medieval stuff, and lots of clothes. Clothes are the big thing. If you don’t want to use cc, you can dress your sims in white towels/ bathrobes. Otherwise, if you find something you like, shoot me the link and I’ll see if I like it. Please don’t be offended if I don’t like your cc. You can make a backstory, or not. Chances are, your sim will have a background roll, possibly more, I still have spots to fill. Rolls I’m looking for right now: Guards, Women of lose morals, Queen’s ladies, knights, townsfolk, the like. If you have an idea, I will see what I can do with it. Sims can be of any age, but please just normal sims. No aliens or vampires. Unless my sims are going to be time traveling, I don’t need them knowing about space. If you have any medieval lots, cc, or objects to recommend, I’m looking for those too! Use the tag #irishmedieval or #irishmed . I don’t even have a title yet, and I am going to finish the challenge I’m currently working on before this gets any chapters. My Pinterest Medieval page: https://www.pinterest.com/celticladyy/sims-4/medieval/ Also, you may be wondering: “Which medieval period is this based in?” Glad you asked! I saw the movie “The Other Boleyn Girl”, and I really liked it. It’s kinda the inspiration behind this, but I also love knights and Lord of the Rings, so I say, All of the periods. All of them. I hope that works out ok, there’s just not enough cc for one specific period besides like, Steampunk. Very cool stuff though. *If I seem super chill or distracted, I’m sorry, I’m pretty tired while writing this. I’ll clean it up later.* Banner history20KViews1like653CommentsSims Medieval won't install Mac
I just purchased the Sims Medieval Special Edition, I downloaded the game to origin and it went through the normal download process but when it said it was complete I was still unable to launch the game because it still said "install". I have a Mac that's fully updated. Please help I am beyond frustrated about this, I am constantly having issued with origin and my games and I am sick of it. ALSO unrelated & not as important as the issue above, but my Sims 4 game won't show me my save files every time I launch it. I have to start completely over and cannot resume a game, which has led me to just leaving my game open constantly. Like I said before, I have a stupid amount of issues with origin and I am tired of it. Please help!!!!9.4KViews1like7CommentsI wish the Sims Medieval got another chance
I don't know how many actually know /care about it, but it's got so much potential for a sandbox medieval style Sims game. The original is a quest based game that is really fun, but has so much potential. Any one else things The sims Medieval 2 deserves a chance?9.2KViews1like127CommentsIs there ever going to be More Sims Medieval ?
Dear Simmers , I came to crisis while playing my long forgotten sims medieval game ; I just can't help asking if there will ever be more of this game . Personally I think that this game has been quickly forgotten . Sure some were a bit disappointed with it being neither an rpg nor the classic sim game , but honestly I quite enjoyed the experience , artwork , quests and stories . I mean The Sims Medieval is it's own thing , and I quite like it . It's an original game , and I am really sad that it only has one other expansion ( it being : The Sims Medieval Pirates and Nobbles ) . Since it has been forgotten by many there is no news about it ever ( as far as my knowledge goes ) being risen back from the dead :'( ... sniffles ... and so I was left with my own completed Medieval sim game just pondering about it ever being rejuvenated :s .... S.o.S , send help , my kingdom needs you ...8.8KViews1like30CommentsSilly Question, Where is the EyeDropper?
Ikr, lol. When in buy mode I can't seem to find the eye dropper or 'copy' tool like in the other games. I could have sworn TSM has one, to help me not have to search for duplicate lighting fixtures or chairs etc. It sure slows down redecorating since I can't find it. Thought I would replay some ambitions recently and need that eye dropper/copy tool.8.1KViews1like4CommentsMarrage=Unroutable?
Hello, been playing this one and I'm doing the quest The Witch Is Back. I chose to this with the romance/marriage path because "why not". I've reached the point where you're suppose to marry the witch or warlock (depending on what you chose). But every time I try my ruler gets the "no path" speech bubble and the game says the marriage can't occur. Is this due to the ruler and Significant Other being the same gender, can you only get married in an actual building? I'd do so in a church, but neither one is religious. Or is it some other bug, and I'll just have to restart?7KViews1like17Comments
