A Few Quality of Life Improvements...
1. Using the Map While Spectating Teamates This would be a huge improvement. I don't know how many times I've forgot that I can't use it while I'm dead even though it should still be implemented. 2. The Weapons in the Legend Locker... Within each weapon class the two bars that, 1. are the title of the weapon, and 2. detailing things like overview skins (ect.); the way you interact should be adjusted. When, for instance, you are looking at the Havoc Skins and you want to look at the Flatline Skins, being able to stay on the skins tab with changing which weapon that you are inspecting would be fantastic. Not pressing 2 buttons to switch but one. (*See Attachments*) 3. Make Incoming Damage a Bit More Responsive This is exactly like how it sounds. 4. (the odds of this happening are very very low but..) To the Development Team, Thank you for your hard work on the latest update. I acknowledge that Ash and Ballistic, whose disproportionately high pick rates have been previously pointed out, were targeted for adjustments in this update. However, I still harbor fundamental concerns regarding the approach to balancing these Legends. My reason is that the adjustments made appear to target aspects other than the primary causes of their overpowered status. In Ash's case, the main cause of her being overpowered was her Blink (dash) ability. While Ash did lose the benefits of fast and automatic reloads due to her class change, the excellence of her Blink remains intact. For Ballistic, I believe the cause of his overpowered status is his strong synergy with the Turbocharged Devotion. The conditions for granting Turbocharger to Devotion, or Ballistic's Ultimate ability to turn his carried weapon into a gold weapon, should have been re-evaluated. However, the Devotion was not addressed in this update, and the gold weapon aspect of Ballistic's Ultimate remains. While his Ultimate's movement buff and tactical ability are certainly powerful, I view them as separate from the primary cause of his overpowered state. Unless the root cause is addressed, the outcome will not change. This means the problem will not be resolved by this update. On the contrary, by altering elements other than the core issue, the situation has become more complicated, and I believe problem resolution has been pushed further away. Of course, I understand that major changes carry risks, and that consideration must be given to users who currently view the situation favorably. However, if things remain as they are, even if there's a temporary population recovery like at the beginning of Season 25, the player count will likely continue to fluctuate with slight increases and decreases, ultimately resulting in a significant net decrease, similar to what happened after the latter half of SP1. My previous assertion, "Avoiding nerfs is neglecting over-buffs," is not about making characters "unplayable." Instead, it's about sincerely addressing the root causes of imbalance and applying appropriate corrections (whether buffs or nerfs). Therefore, I kindly request that you reconsider your approach to the current overpowered Legends and implement more fundamental adjustments to restore the game's healthy balance and diversity. 1. I hope a new class of legends is added that has an ultimate which calls down a transport vehicle like a jeep, APC, helicopter or small titan. 2. I hope valkyrie gets a proper full astronaut skin, vantage a ghillie suit skin, alter a void space-suit and caustic a full hazmat lab suit skin. I’m absolutely not a fan of the endless spamming of fashion skins that apex keeps doing. I’d like to see more professional war gear type skins. 3. I hope finally the developers take some serious action in making Vantage competitively viable. The developers keep avoiding the issue of Vantage’s sniper not doing enough damage, which is never going to fix the core problem that haunts vantage. Ultimates have to be more powerful than ground loot weapons. 4. I hope the developers permanently add a fast-paced battle royale mode. Straight shot was this exactly, but then they never added it as a permanent mode, nor made the core battle royale experience faster. Beginners don’t mind boring games, for everything is new to them anyway. But the more experienced you are, the more you want the strategy and action that apex legends has to offer and less waiting around for rings to close. 5. I hope maps are made flatter so that long range weapons, and long-range spotting and ring-planning becomes easier and more impactful. I think we can all agree that Caustic is the second worst legend in the game. So let's put him back into the game, rather than him being almost non-existent. I think all of you, the Respawn and EA team, should put both of his EVO Level 2 upgrades in his base kit, and remove the Level 3 upgrade "Particle Diffuser" and simply double his ultimate radius. Breathe It In is a good upgrade idea, but it's not very strong. I think it should heal 8 HP every second. Increase his general ultimate duration to 20 seconds and make both his tactical and ultimate deal 10 damage on impact, rather than having it go up by 1 from 5 until it reaches 10. Caustic's tactical cooldown should be 15 seconds, keep the 3 charges, and extend the amount of max active traps to 8, as well as making his tactical gas last 20 seconds. His new Level 2 upgrades should be No Subject Escapes, which makes his gas slow enemies for 3 seconds when they enter his gas, (Wraith or any other legend and their abilities cannot negate this. The timer only pauses), and Master Experimenter, which gives Caustic access to extended Assault and Support bins, Recon Beacons, and gain access to scanning Care Packages. As previously stated, for his Level 3 upgrades, we should keep Breathe It In, but his new second upgrade should be Mad Scientist, which now makes it so that Caustic can infuse a grenade with Nox Gas, like charging a Rampage, (which takes 3 seconds to do), and the Nox Gas that's emitted lasts for 5 seconds dealing 5 damage per tick, not increasing. This blankets an area half the size of a gas trap area, and the gas gets released on explosion. For thermites, when the flames come out, for arc stars, if stuck on an enemy legend, releases then, otherwise, releases on explosion. Frags mirror arc stars except there is no exception, the gas is emitted on explosion. In addition to this, decrease his ultimate cooldown by 30 seconds. That's all. I recently got my guaranteed 500 pack heirloom, and got a universal Melee option. A few packs later, completely randomly, I got the new Sky Piercer out of one of the first packs, and realized unlike weapons and skins, I can't do 'Random Favorite'. To the Apex Legends Development Team, I recently read an interview where you reportedly discussed the current in-game meta. In it, you acknowledged the overpowered state of the Devotion, yet described it as "cool and well-done." You also apparently stated that nerfs are a last resort, and you'd try to balance by buffing other characters. This news was genuinely shocking to me. Both excessive nerfs and excessive buffs should be avoided. Are you truly looking at the character pick rates? Are you not noticing the unusually high pick rates of Ash, Alter, and Ballistic, while the number of characters with under 1% pick rate has increased? If this interview is indeed true, isn't that like a painter who, instead of fixing a mistake in their painting, just keeps adding more to it, ultimately ruining the entire piece? If you don't address the cause, you won't change the outcome. Is the Apex Development Team truly willing to ruin their own work like that painter? I wonder if.. because of the other buffs and stuff that brought up the rest of the game to be fun again. And if you have people in the community show how to setup stuff/just make the global configuration have the settings and add it into the games tutorial if tap strafing could still exist for controller?. And I bet the player count would go up a lot and continue to grow. If yall bring it back with transparency about it. And not one sided nonsense. The player count will skyrocket. Don't treat it like a bug. Treat it like a feature and actually implement it fully. Warframe did this well with bullet jumping. This game keeps cutting itself off right before it grows. Its been better the past few seasons and its finally at a place I felt comfortable to have this conversation. Another really big example and maybe just do this one first as a test! Add back punch boosting rebalanced? Limit how many boosts you can do like you all did the zip line change ages ago where you can only grab it 3 times. I just miss titanfall but like apex for the big maps.. Right before tap strafing got removed from controller I was learning how to wall run on revenant using it. Can still do it. But it's like I got my wings cut. Can't do anything like I used too unless my aim is 100% there.. and half the time when I bring it up I get told "switch to keyboard" I just don't like it for these kind of games. Never have. But I like the extra gameplay features keyboard gets to compensate bc it makes the game funner. Controller just got all that taken awhile ago.. Proposal A: Change the specification so that acceleration is given only when the weapon is maximally reinforced by “weapon arsenal”. If the weapon is in full custom state, acceleration will be given in the same way when it is strengthened by “weapon arsenal” after that. (Lowering the threat without directly weakening the ballistic, maintaining the comfort of “Devotion” at completion, and increasing the importance of “weapon arsenal”). So now that ammo stacks have different sizes in your inventory I feel like it’s rather pointless to use heavy ammo with the C.A.R since (if you carry four stacks of ammo) you get 48 more rounds of ammo (almost two mags with a blue mag attachment) with light ammo. Personally I would like to see the C.A.R revamped to address this issue by making it less accurate at long range or slower fire rate and having harsher recoil but higher damage with heavy ammo. I think it should be more accurate than the flatline but harder to control than the prowler, and with light ammo it should be slightly less accurate than the r-301 but better than the r99 at mid ranges with slightly lower fire rate and have damage per bullet be somewhere in between both. Since C.A.R stands for Compact Assault Rifle I think that either way you decide to go it should feel like an in between of the respective AR’s and SMG’s for heavy and light ammo rather than just feeling like an r99 but you can use two ammo types.13Views0likes0Comments
