Investigating Game Launch & Save File Issues

No, no error at all upon start up. Only option when booting, is to start a new game.

Are you seeing a specific error code when trying to load your save?

1. Does the game launch at all? Yes, but the loading screen takes at least 1h (recorded time) to show the menu

2. Does the game load, but buildings, lots, worlds, or Sims are missing? It won't load worlds except for the last one played 

3. Is this happening to every save, or one specific save? Every save, even the new ones

4. Do you use mods? Yes

4.1 & 4.2 Yes and yes, I have removed the mods and done more than 3 repairs to the game the same day, nothing changes and the game doesn't work

5. Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling the game? Yes, once 

Does the issue persist? It's fine the first 2 times I launch it, but after a while it gets back to it's old stage. When reinstalled I didn't use mods, I didn't play with my previous saves either, everything started from 0 but still didn't work

1. Yes. And I don’t know about the state of the game at the moment since I’m devastated of the genocide of my sims

3. Most save files were deleted except the game I saved a few nights ago, but when starting the game it’s not registering the only save, which is corrupted 
4. Yes, I do use mods. 
   a. Yes, the problem still persists after removal.                                                                                          b. I’ve tried repairing the game and the problem still persists.                                                             c. And yes I’ve uninstalled/reinstalled and the problem continues

1. Does the game launch at all? Yes, the game does launch. Since removing my mods it does continuously load once I try to get into a household. Before it kicked me back to the world selection menu.
2.  Does the game load, but buildings, lots, worlds, or Sims are missing? 
   The game will load into the manage worlds menu but that is it. Everything looks intact but I  cannot play any households whatsoever.
3. Is this happening to every save, or one specific save?
   Yes it is every save that I currently have. I have not tried to create any new saves.
   Do you use mods? Yes I do, but I removed them all. 
   Does the issue persist after repair? Yes.

4. Have you tried repairing your game while mods are removed? Yes I have. Did not help at all.
5. Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling the game? No.

I am playing the game on PC.

1. No, all of my EA and Sims 4 folders have 'error', with the greyed out cloud symbol that has an explanation mark.

Yes, I have uninstalled due to the recent update removing all of my packs from their correct folder. I reinstalled, and now the game doesn't even load. 

1. My game does launch. My saves sometimes have endless loading on specific builds and occasionally when exiting CAS.
2. The save loads, nothing appears to be missing.
3. This mainly happens in my main save file, but I have replicated endless loading in brand new saves as well.
4. I use very few mods. I have built with TOOL and Better Build and Buy- BUT I have had endless loading happen to builds that re created with NO mods, and it also happens to builds created before I ever used these mods.

Important Note:  Over time, I've worked out a lot of the endless loading that occurs in this save file. But it still happens. I had it happen less than a week ago when trying to leave CAS on one of my households. I can give very specific lots and details on where to look to hopefully replicate the problem, if needed. I also have multiple builds on my private gallery that will not load anymore and I can share those Tray files if it helps. Community Spaces from Eco Lifestyle do not work for me anymore due to this issue so I have basically removed them from this save. I've noticed this issue is most likely to occur when you use a lot of Live Edit Objects, Debug (especially on the exterior of a build), and when you place a lot of objects on top of each other. I have been experiencing this issue since immediately following the prepack For Rent patch in 2023. Happy to give lots more info if needed!

Hello, I'm playing on PS5.

1) My game launches.

2) Some of my sims have disappeared. More importantly, since February 2025, the game crashes every time I save.
Error code: CE-108255-1

3) This happens for all saves. With new ones too.

4) I don't use mods.

5) The problem persists after the console has been repaired.

6) I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game and the problem persists.
