Can't Access The Sims 4 Bug Reports Archive
Often I search up The Sims 4 bugs on google and the results link to archived bug reports, however, every time I try to open them recently the EA Forums say I don't have access to that page or it doesn't exist. I've attached a screenshot of the message. Is there a reason the archive is no longer accessible? There are many bugs that weren't fixed yet that are there, and some have workarounds in the comments that are hidden due to that. I first noticed this on August 12th, and haven't been able to open the archive since. I was able to access it just fine on August 2nd, so it's a recent change. Edit: I've tried chrome, firefox and microsoft edge, so not a browser issue.
[Sims 4 Bug Forum] - Adding "Awaiting Additional Reports" Category to Sidebar
Hi, Around 600 bug reports have been moved to a new category for the Sims 4, called "Awaiting Additional Reports". While I understand the purpose of the new category, it hides many bug reports and it's not as accessible anymore as before. It would be great to have this new category added to the sidebar (In "Featured Bug Statuses") for easier reach, better visibility and also transparency.How do we request forum staff to help with a specific game?
Tried opening a more specific version of this and you guys just moved it to a different forum, so trying again. how do we actually get someone to pay attention to the players of a game and their needs/critical issues? I know EA loves to ignore any bugs that don't cost them money, but c'mon now I shouldn't have to resort to BBB complaints to get assistance when you have these official forumsInvalid HTML error when publishing new stories. Please help.
I am trying to post a story with images on one of my threads, but keep getting an error message come up saying: 'This content is not published. Invalid HTML. Please remove this before posting. Lib- sim.' (no idea what the last bit means). The story is pasted in plain text from a Word doc and have tried uploading each image via the option in the bottom bar (From Computer) instead of copying and pasting but it still won't let me publish the story. There is no HTML content used in the story, it's all from my computer, so am not sure why I keep getting a message about invalid HTML content. I am wondering if it's the length that's causing issues, as when I do shorter posts with one or two images, it works perfectly fine. I notice there doesn't seem to be a spoiler option on the bar for new posts/replies after the main introductory post so I can't get the long post into a spoiler. Has anyone else had the same issue when trying to post stories (can't find related topics in Search)? And if so, have you managed to solve it?
Feedback ideas (i hope this feedback is allowed?)
I know you can scroll with the topic you're looking for and you have a search bar to look for things you're looking for but it becomes slow over time the more i scroll to a certain game category (it doesn't have to be the category i often use and i bet i can speak the same for the others) So my question is: is there an option so you can click on pages rather than scrolling? I took a screenshot of it but maybe like something like this? Maybe even a random page option so you can click on the number pages? It's not just the topic you're looking for but i also want that option in the comments (same reason as the above one, when scrolling it becomes very slow over time) I hope we have that option and if not: is it okay to add number pages as an option in settings? (I took a screenshot so you'll figured where this comes from) By the way it can still be optional (similar to dates: "hours/days/weeks/months/year ago" and "certain date, month and year" except this time it's the pages and scrolling option) It's just a suggestion of course so i hope the team don't feel attacked by this?
Unable to authenticate on EA Forums
Hi, For several days now, I'm not able to authenticate to EA Forums on most of my devices. This PC I'm using now is the only one (It's my work computer) who can but I think it still have cookies. On my personal computers, I could connect just by clicking on connexion button but now I'm asked to authenticate (I suppose cookies hav expired), I enter my email and password but it doens't work at all, all I have is a page with an error message about not being possible to authenticate. Of course, I have clean caches, reboot, try several browsers, accept cookies again, etc. My EA account works fine on other EA websites and in EA App but not on the forums. I'm in France (sorry for my english) so I thought my country was bannished but it doesn't work with Opera's VPN either. Thanks for your help.
Content Not Published when trying to post in the forum
Today I was going through my notifications and responding to posts as many do, when all of a sudden, this happens...... It is hard enough to keep track of where I am at in my notifications because when I look at them once, they ALL get marked as read. So when going back in it is a real pain to find where I left off. So this happening and saying try again later, when later I will probably have more notifications and then really have to spend some time to figure out where I was, is just terrible. Why would we be penalized for replying to existing posts we participate in? Maybe I could understand if we were limited to how many new posts we could start within a certain time frame but this is just bananas to me. I have posted before about the problem of all notifications being marked as read when you go into them. If that was fixed this wouldn't be such a big deal. Not to mention it would be time savingly awesome.
Small Forum Feedback
1. Date Display Style does not make different when you go to My Setting-->Preferences then you will see Date Display Style. I have try them both Relative and Absolute and did not see the different on my Profile. Can you look into it? 2. like the EA Forum Website but like to see more improvement. like EA forum Profile background change to black or cool BF4 background. Right now it just White background. So maybe add option to change it to different background? 3. Avatar on choose From Gallery🖼️ can you please look into add Star Wars again to the Gallery? Opinion on New Forums
It may just be unpopular opinion, but I find these new forums to be painstakingly difficult to read ,(text is tiny, and colors are blinding), follow thread, my hand hurts from scrolling through hundreds of post I already read since day one to get to current. Newest somehow works but requires a lot waiting of leg work too. Is it just me. Have I been put on a delay? It wont let me post to threads all the time for just no good reason. Notifications are not as clear and prompt as last forum. While I think it may need kinks worked out, I myself may have to take to another forum. I may check in periodically to see if they have improved it, but for now, I can't. Let me know is anyone if experiencing the same or if it's just me.
Can you just make the page load in one go instead of endless scroll mode?
Why do i have to scroll to load all the comments? Just load all the comments. Why do I have to click "Show More" to see more comments? Do you think I'm going to read the first 6 and then be done, nothing more to see here? Of course not. Do you understand the bare basic purposes of a Forum and how it's meant to work? This new forum rework is atrocious across the board but this is consistently annoying. Of course I want to show more.
