I downloaded simcity build it and I just wanted to know if we can restart our city?SolvedAnonymous11 years ago446KViews13likes44CommentsEpic Project FAQ
These Epic Project FAQ are user compiled, if there's any mistakes please share your knowledge. Last updated: April 10th 2016. Q. How many points are required to achieve each level of epic project? A. bronze (turtle): 10 silver (llama): 80 gold (cheetah): 160 Q. How many speed-up tokens can you accumulate? A. You can only have at most 5 bronze (turtle), 5 silver (Llama), 5 gold (Cheetah) at any time. In order to collect more token parts from Epic Project buildings, you must first drop below 5 speed-up tokens of that type (ie spend the speed-up on a commercial building). Note: You can exceed the 5 limit if you win speed-up tokens (e.g, from League rewards) Q. How many buildings must you collect from to make a speed-up token? A. Initially 3 Turtle (bronze) building tokens = 1 Turtle speed-up token Initially 6 Llama (silver) building tokens = 1 Llama speed-up token Initially 9 Cheetah (gold) building tokens = 1 Cheetah speed-up token EDIT: since February(?) 2016, the number of token pieces required to make a speed-up token increases as you build more projects of that type. E.g, I have about 45 gold projects, and I require 19 gold token pieces to make 1 gold speed-up token. The maximum number of pieces required to make 1 speed-up token is capped at 20, depending on how many bronze/silver/gold projects you have (per type, not total) NOTE: If you haven't collected tokens for a while (1-2 days?), it will initially take 3/6/9 pieces to make 1 speed-up token. Q. How often can I collect a token from an epic project? A. New epic token parts become available 24 hours after you last collected a token part from the building, with one exception: when you complete an epic project, it will immediately give you a new token part, and then will give you another token part when the rest of the buildings (of the same type?) produce their next daily token. If a building has a token part available but you don't collect it, it will not accumulate token parts. If your token parts become available at noon on Monday but you don't collect them until 3pm, those buildings will next produce token parts at 3pm on Tuesday. All buildings of the same type seem to sync when they generate token parts, but different token types do NOT sync with each other automatically. However, it's possible to manually sync them by simply waiting on one set until the rest become available (I have done this for ease of collection). Q. Is there a limit to how many epic project buildings you can have? A. No limit Q. Which specializations can be used to create an epic project? A. Education, Transportation, Beach, Entertainment, Mountain, Gambling, Landmarks Q. How many different epic project designs are there? A. There were originally 24 unique designs, but that was recently increased to 60 in March 2016. There are 3 different colour schemes for each design. All designs and colour schemes are achievable regardless of whether you reach bronze/silver/gold status. Project images: see the screenshot below Q. What are the names of each epic project design? A. Each specialization has a set of building names. They do not match to a specific design or colour scheme. Q. After I complete a project, how long must I wait before I can start another project? A. If you finish a gold project early, the next project will become available after 12 hours from the time you finished. If you failed to reach gold project after the 24 hour timer expires, the next project will become available 12 hours after the timer has expired and you revealed the Epic Project building. Q. What sort of buildings can become Epic Projects? A. Only the regular residential buildings can become Epic Projects (not Parisian/London/Tokyo). Q. Do Epic Projects have higher population? A. Yes, Epic Project buildings can hold 31% more population (1836 -> 2411). Q. I don't like the task that's been assigned to the specialization building, can I request a new task? A. No, that task will remain there until you complete the task, or delete the building. Q. I have 12 specialization buildings, how come I only have 8 tasks? A. Only 8 tasks can be active at any one time. Once you complete a task, a new task bubble will appear above another specialization building. Q. What determines the specialization project that I can build? A. After a regular residential building is selected for an Epic Project upgrade, it will be assigned a specialization depending on which specializations are within range of that building. You can move that building within range of any other specialization and refresh the plans to change to a different design. If no other specializations are within range, you'll get the error message which is displayed in the image below. Since the March 2016 update, you can now move the epic project to a new building (prior to starting the project). The Basics You place residence units and upgrade them by using resources that can be created at your factories or stores. Each item has an amount of time it takes to get ready. When you upgrade a residence, you earn XP, Simoleons (see below) and population. Your screen contain information like level, population, warehouse current and maximum capacity and approval rate. This is all in the top left corner. Below this you have the social and preferences buttons. In your top right corner, you have your currencies information (see below). You the right middle-bottom side, you have the building options: streets, residences, commercials, factories and specializations. The red exclamation mark on the street or specialization icon means that something is wrong, like some of your street has heavy traffic and needs to be upgraded, or something basic infrastructure is failing (i.e. lack of water). http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t16/czeuch/img1_zpse9e4d325.png The 2 ways street is free and I recommend making a layout like a street, then space for 2 rows of houses and another street. The main reason is that you will enable bigger buildings later on that will not fit if you go for street, house, street. Believe me, street, house, house, street is better. Only make sure to have some cross streets in order to avoid heavy traffic. http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t16/czeuch/img2_zps27b5a4fd.png Currencies Simoleons: ingame money which can be used to buy stores, upgrade your factories, buy infrastructure buildings, etc. It can be earned by upgrading buildings, selling goods at the Global Trade HQ, doing Naval missions, collecting taxes or spending Simcash. Simcash: special and limited cash that can be used to speed up production, increase store slots, open warehouse or expansion slots, etc. You start with a small ammount and you can get more by getting Achievements or spending real money. IMPORTANT: do not spend Simcash on anything other than increasing store slots. It's really not worth it spending it in other things unless you're willing to pay real money. Golden Keys: these can be obtained by completing Naval missions or by reconstructing your buildings after using Doctor Vu's disasters. These keys can be used to build Specialization buildings like Education, Transportation, Leisure, Gaming and Monuments. Collectibles You will notice some balloons over some buildings. This is usually a comment from your citizens about something from your city. Clicking on them have a chance of rewarding you with a collectible. My recommendation is that you never sell Land or Vu's collectibles, and start selling Warehouse ones after you reach 110 to 120 capacity. The main reason behind this is because at that point, you will need 9 to 10 items of each. This would reduce drastically the quantity of productive goods that you can store in your warehouse since around 20+ items will be about Warehouse collectibles. / There are 9 kinds of collectible, for 3 different uses: Warehouse Maximum Capacity Increase: to increase you warehouse's cap by 10 slots, you need Cameras, Locks and Grates. You need at first one of each to upgrade, and it increments by 1 for each time you upgrade it (2 of each for the second upgrade, 3 of each for the third, etc). Land Expansion: for that, you need tractor's Exhaust Pipe, Wheel and Shovel. Each extra land has a specific cost, which can vary from 1 of each to 10 of each. Doctor Vu's Items: to release a disaster, you will need to give Doctor Vu a Lightning Glove, Battery and Remote Controller. The cost of each disaster is random. It can be 2 Gloves and a Battery, or 4 Remote Controllers, or one of each. Walkthrough It looks like you start with a lot of Simoleons, however try not to spend it too fast. You will run out of it quite fast. Some infrastructure buildings will unlock at certain levels. Once they unlock, your citizens will start complaining about not having that specific things (i.e.Sewer Treatment, Garbage Management, Police, etc) and they will abandon your city if you don't give them what they want. My tip here is: DON'T WORRY. You'll NEVER have enough money to do everything on time if you don't spend REAL money. So you'll have to go one step at a time. Having bad approval rate and abandoned buildings for a while is not too bad, since this will only reduce a little of your tax income, which only comes every 24h (or spread during a day if you access the game often). I suggest stop placing new residences when you unlock something new that will make your citizen leave. Start focusing on saving money until you are able to buy the best option for that category. You can find below a table with the cost x benefit of each category. This is a sacrifice at the beginning but you will save money in the long run as you will not need to spend money with this kind of stuff all the time. http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t16/czeuch/img1_zpsc6c39619.png After the basic infrastructure stuff are enabled (the last one to enable is Health), you can focus on finishing providing everything that is missing and then start expanding your city horizontally, placing new residences. I do recommend that you find a way to fit the Port and Doctor's Vu tower in this process. The Specialization buildings are the ones that will make your city really grow in terms of population. In terms of Specialization, this is what I suggest you to do: 1 - Place the Department of Education (40K Simoleons); 2 - Farm Golden Keys until you have 47 of them so you can place the Library, High School, College and University. This will cover your whole city with Education and will unlock the Fusion Plant (which you'll need later on); 3 - Farm money to place the Department of Transportation (50k Simoleons); 4 - Farm 30 to 34 Golden Keys so you can place the Heliport and the Bus Station or Balloon Park; 5 - Farm 60k Simoleons to place the Leisure HQ; 6 - Farm 38+ Golden Keys to place 2 Leisure buildings, one of them being the Giant Wheel; 7 - Farm 70k Simoleons to place the Gaming HQ; 8 - Farm 22 Golden Keys to place both Luxury Cassinos; 9 - Lastly, farm 80k for the Department of Culture; 10 - Get 60 Golden Keys for the Washington Momument and the Empire State Building. With this, get prepared to turn your city into a metropolis! Offerings Sometimes balloons with coins will appear over buildings. This means some NPC company or organization wants to buy something for you. They will show you which product they want, the quantity they want, the quantity you have in stock and the price they are paying for all products. In some occasions, it may happen that they will offer you much more than the market value. In this case, I recommend clicking outside the popup (DON'T CLICK ON ANY BUTTON) so you can maintain the offer active. Start producing that product and sell it when you have the necessary quantity. This will improve your economy in a very interesting way. Doctor Vu It works quite simply: give Vu the items he requires for the disaster. Some buildings (1-5) will be destroyed. The game will ask you for requirements to rebuild it, very similar to an upgrade. However instead of money, XP and population, you earn 1 to 3 golden keys. After all buildings are rebuilt you can call upon another disaster. Some people question if it's really worth to unlock/use it. the answer is that using his disasters is mandatory if you want to have a city with high population and specializations. the ship only gives you one key with an interval of at least 6 hours. The disasters can give you 1 to 12 keys and you can get them in less than 6 hours I've farmed around 150 keys with Vu and this helped me cover my whole city with all specializations but landmarks. I'm still missing those. However it may happen in very rare cases that one of the buildings that you will need to rebuild needs ridiculous requirements. I'll mention 2 bad cases and a nearly bad one: - Warehouse is at 110 storage: game asks for 48 nails and 48 wood (96 items) - Warehouse at 180: games asks for 156 - Warehouse at 140: game asks for 64 - Impossible requests: use ingame support feature and EA will fix the disaster. What to do in such a situation? The first and last cases from the list above are mine. I'll now explain how you can solve this problem. - Focus on finishing all upgrades that you started - Don't start new ones - Stop production - Farm the HQ Global Tarde for expansion items in order to upgrade your storage and land. This way you will get rid of these items hence saving space - Sell anything you don't need - Ask your friends to hold some stuff for you. Basically you sell something to you friend and you buy it back after your rebuild is done. These are only a few way. There should be others too. Are there any sources out there for layout templates? I am only level 13 but I am having trouble getting efficient coverage for fire, police, and parks. Right now I am sitting at 100% happiness so I am good, but I bought a medium size police station when in retrospect I could have gotten away with the small one. Try the following tips regularly to maintain optimum performance in your game. Some of these steps may also help with refreshing your game and clearing various glitches. Close all unnecessary applications Force-close all unnecessary applications running in the background. Your device usually leaves all apps running unless you manually shut them down. This is bad for overall performance, as the system gets taxed and slows down. Android: Devices can vary, but try to locate the recent apps menu. Swipe any apps you wish to close horizontally off your screen. You may need to have a look in your task manager to clear any processes which aren't necessary while you are playing the game. iOS 6 and earlier: Double tap the home button to bring up the multitasking tray, then tap and hold on one of the icons until they all start to shake. Tap all of the little red minus icons to close all of the apps in the multitasking tray. iOS 7 +: Double tap your home button to enter multitasking mode, then swipe upwards on each app's screen preview (not the icon) to close it. Apps such as Facebook & Messenger may continue using memory even after they have been closed in the multitasking menu. To check for this on iOS, go to the Background App Refresh section of your device settings, then toggle OFF apps such as these to prevent them from using additional memory while you play. On Android, you can choose "Restrict background data" on each app's settings. Restart your device Reboot your device by turning it off for a few seconds and then powering it back on again. This can help to clear the memory of your device from any tasks that should no longer be using resources. On iOS devices, you may also need to perform a hard reboot. To do this, hold down the power and home buttons simultaneously until the screen turns off and the Apple icon appears. Once you release the buttons your device will reboot. Try a different network connection If downloads are progressing slowly or your game is showing messages indicating you’re in Offline mode (in a place you should be able to get online), you may need to try a different network connection. If you're on 3G/4G, try using a Wi-Fi connection instead; or, if you're already on Wi-Fi, try connecting through a different Wi-Fi network. Re-install the app If the app is crashing consistently on a certain level or upon launching, it's very likely that some of the assets you downloaded when you were installing or updating weren't downloaded correctly. Uninstalling the game and re-installing it will usually fix these types of crashes. On Android, some devices may take a while to fully erase the game files before you begin re-installing. If you have an application manager on your device, try using it to make sure that all of the game files have been completely removed prior to re-installing the game. Restarting your device can also ensure that the memory has cleared these files. You will want to make sure that you are using a stable Wi-Fi connection to download the game again. Some games can have relatively large downloads, so doing this will minimize the chance of experiencing connection issues which may corrupt game data as it's being downloaded. If you're using Android, the game will need to remain open while installing or launching it for the first time; it may not install correctly while running in the background. Remember that by connecting though Facebook, Game Center, or Google Play from the in-game settings menu, you can uninstall and re-install without losing your progress; uninstalling an app will usually erase your local save data along with the app. You will want to make sure that your latest progress is available to be recovered after your re-installation, if possible. Clear some additional storage space Erasing some photos, videos, or other apps that you no longer need in order to clear some additional space on your device can vastly improve overall performance. It's recommended to keep at least 10% of your device's storage free to prevent performance issues. Turn off the Auto-Update feature Downloading apps in the background while you play may cause some evident performance issues such as lagging or freezing during gameplay. We recommend ensuring that your auto-update feature is turned off (particularly using iOS 7). Any apps that routinely require Internet access to download or sync additional data while running in the background (such as Mail apps) are recommended to be closed completely to prevent this process from occurring during gameplay as well. Close the game completely when you're not playing If your game is left running in the background, your game's progress can be affected by other occurrences, such as crashes caused by other apps. When you're done playing for the time being, you may wish to take the precaution of fully exiting and force-closing the game.Anonymous11 years ago118KViews18likes1CommentSync Between iPad and iphone?
So I downloaded the new Simcity Buildit on my iPad Air 2 the other day, love the game so far. My question is when I insstall the game on my iPhone 5S it does not give me a way to sync and log into Facebook to sync a new game, it makes me go through the whole initial game set up tutorial, etc, I am currently saving my game on the iPad through Facebook, so how do I install the app on my iPhone and avoid the tutorial so I can sync my progress? Or do I have to go through the tutorial and start a new game and wait for the option to log into Facebook? (I am afraid to go that far and select that option and then it save my new game and I loose the progress I have on my iPad)SolvedAnonymous11 years ago107KViews0likes19CommentsWealth Forecast - Luxurious

A lot of people seem to be struggling with Epic Projects, so I thought I would type something up to save me replying to people one at a time. Tips: Increase your storage as high as possible. Stock up with items before you begin. Typically with items that are hard to find in GTHQ, and items that take a long time to build (eg, 3-5x cream, beef, cheese etc) Keep 50-100k coins on hand for shopping in GTHQ. Start a project in a specialization you have the most 3 token buildings with. I recommend 6-8 x 3 token buildings. Note: you can move the epic building within range of a specialization and refresh the plans until you get your specialization of choice. Try and ignore the 1-2 token buildings. The tasks weigh the same, but give less points in return. Bronze projects are very easy, anyone at any level should be able to complete them. Silver is also very achievable, providing you plan ahead, otherwise be prepared to shop til you drop! Gold is achievable by anyone with enough planning and coins for shopping. Alternatively you could use a lot of speed-up tokens. If you only just unlocked Projects, don't expect to be able to achieve this. You're meant to build your way up to this level by building Bronze projects, then using those speed-up tokens to help you achieve Silver, then later Gold (once you have the storage and coins). Here's what you can expect to get from tasks as you near 160 points: 5x Fire Pits / Cherry Cheesecake / Burgers / Cheese / Milk etc. Expensive items to buy, and lengthy build times. It ain't gonna be cheap! The key to obtaining any of those levels is always going to fall back on what specialization buildings you have. I can't stress enough the importance of having a lot of 3 token buildings. 1 & 2 token buildings have the same tasks as the 3 token buildings, they are not easier to complete. Note: Although you may have 16 specialization buildings, only 8 tasks will be active at any one time. So if you had 8x 3 token buildings, and 8x 1 token buildings, the task bubbles may all eventually be on the 1 token buildings after you complete the 3 token tasks, which would force you to complete more 1 token tasks in order to get the task bubbles to appear on the 3 token buildings again. It's best to limit your number of 1 and 2 token buildings to the bare minimum, and have at least 8x 3 token buildings to make it easier to complete. Which specializations did I build? Education: University (25 keys, the only building worth 3 tokens). I only kept 1x Community College since it's required to build more universities. Transportation: Heliport (20 keys, the only building worth 3 tokens). The only other building I kept was the Department of Transportation, since it's required to build more Heliports. Beach: Merman Statue, Aquarium, Astro-twirl Rocket Ride, Sailorman's Ride, Luxury Boat Marine (all 3 tokens). For highest population, stick to the 22/50 key 3 token buildings at the end, the only non-3 token building required is the Lighthouse. Entertainment: Sydney Opera House (25 keys, 3 tokens), Ferris Wheel (28 keys, 3 tokens, my preference due to footprint), Sumo Hall (50 keys, 3 tokens). You must keep the 1 token Entertainment HQ in order to build all of these. Mountain: Mountainside Train Station, Ski Resort, Observatory, Mount SimCity, Mountain Palace, Castle (all 3 tokens). I only kept the 1 token Mountain Lift in order to build more Ski Resorts. You can delete it if you prefer to build Mountain Palace and Castle for higher population. Gambling: Luxurious Casino (10 keys, 2 tokens), Luxurious Casino Tower (12 keys, 2 tokens) - there's no 3 token buildings! I kept 1 Luxurious Casino so I could build more Luxurious Casino Towers. I deleted the 1 token Gambling HQ. Landmarks: Empire State Building (20 keys, 3 tokens), Statue of Liberty (30 keys, 3 tokens), Washington Monument (40 keys, 3 tokens, my preference), Himeji Castle (60 keys, 3 tokens), Eiffel Tower (40 keys, 3 tokens). You must keep the 1 token Department of Culture. Here's a record of the gold building I completed yesterday: 1. My storage full, and lots of items produced, ready for the project 2. The building the project is happening on. Note the population (regular residential building). 3. Project started, Beach! I have 7 x 3 token beach specializations, and 5 x 2 token.Anonymous10 years ago82KViews17likes17Comments- Anonymous9 years ago76KViews4likes23Comments
