WHAT DOES UNCONTROLLED SIM MEAN?
There is no such stupidity! There is no sim control and years of effort are gone! How do you turn off gameplay settings? No sim control! Last night, the character I have been playing for months, I saw today that he left the world! It doesn't even have a name! I've been paying for this game for 20 years! There are almost all the packages, but there is no point in playing anymore. Anyone with sense wouldn't play this game! Because such stupidity does not exist in the history of the world! There can be no game without saving and control! Let's rebel and not play! This is a huge insult to the player!!!
No body hair Opt Out, Middle School aged Sims, etc.
I've been playing The Sims since it first came out way back in the early aughts. I've seen it go through many transformations over time. While I seriously miss the separate worlds of Sims 2 and the ability to completely edit every little detail in the Sims 3, I have to admit I do enjoy the Sims 4 when out exploring the neighborhoods. This is something I haven't done in the last ten years since it's conception, but it's made me realize why we don't have the ability to plop down lots wherever we want. There's so much to do just by walking around and exploring. This is definitely a game set up more for the game player than the decorator, even though they have quite a bit of decor to mess around with. With that said, I read online where the Maxis team is coming up with new expansion ideas. None of them interest me. Maybe it's my age, or maybe I just prefer to play differently than most simmers. I keep wondering who is actually suggesting these ideas they are listening too. Will they ever listen to me? Ha ha! I'm still waiting for them to give us a button that opts out of body hair. There's been many times I go in and create a Sim and triple check to make sure they don't have any arm, leg, chest, or back hair. Then, during gameplay, all of a sudden my "hairless" Sim has grown arm and leg hair. How? I don't get it. I told the game not to give her any hair there. I know in the real world there are hairy people, and some players must enjoy having to shave, but I absolutely hate doing that in real life so why would I want to do it in The Sims? The other thing is, when my female sim dates another female sim, sometimes that female sim has back or chest hair. I don't like that. At all. Give us the OPT out of body hair option just like we can opt out of acne. Please!?!?! Another thing I would love to see is preteens. My nieces are of preteen age and they also love to play The Sims. However, they don't like the fact that they aren't represented in the game. The high school students are treated too much like young adults. They even wear the same clothes as young adults/adults. It's like you go from being a kid playing in a treehouse to suddenly worrying about college. There definitely needs to be middle schoolers in this game. Represent please! Those are the two main things I would love to see from Maxis instead of the expansion packs they are currently working on. I used to buy every single expansion pack, mostly for the decor because I love redecorating houses. Lately, I stopped purchasing them because I noticed many of the things that should have appeared in the expansion pack came out in a stuff pack or a kit. I know the two most important words in business are Cash Flow, but I feel like EA has gone from thinking of the player first to thinking about their pocketbooks first. I hope not, but it's just a feeling I get with The Sims 4. Anybody else want to add to this?

Too many "Lovestruck" couples everywhere!
[Edit 2024-10-10 -> Adding the pic which represents the topic name better] I knew there was a similar discussion. However, I haven't found any discussion about this issue about "everywhere" yet. So, I start a new one with the information from my testing with my saved file. (Disclaimer: My save is modded, has MCCC, and has "Show Sim Info" to get info.) I visited a park in Chestnut Ridge and found a couple named Roswell who live in Strangerville. It's so lovely, isn't it? But there are some strange things about this. If you have Strangerville GP, you will know that... Townies who live in Strangerville "rarely" spawned outside their world. Some places have exceptions about region limits such as restaurants, bowling lots (team members with uniforms), gossipers in Finchwick Fair, etc. You can't find them appearing outside without a special role. Then I have evidence that it's a Lovestruck (EP16) issue. I used the "Show Sim Info" mod to see the name of their role and found this (red underline). This can make sure that they are spawned by the game to have a date. In another try that I played for a longer time, after a few minutes, the game spawns at least 3 couples. I saw from other players that it can reach 4 couples too. About my personal opinion. It would be cute and lovely if it's only 1-2 couples and has the more rare chance to appear such as 10-20% or 50% at most. It shouldn't be every time like the current situation. They should respect the region-limited rule if it exists. And they shouldn't appear in the place they shouldn't be such as temple ruins in Selvadorada. I think it would be better to give "EP16NPC_VenueDate" sims in a specific place to make it more special. Why don't they appear mostly inCiudad Enamorada, the city of love? I wouldn't complain if it's like that. You can spawn as many lovers as you want in the city of love! Or I think it can be like "The Festival of Light" in Mt. Komorebi where couples from every world are spawned. It should be a collab with Seasons EP's Love Day too. I wouldn't complain much if the couple is spammed on this holiday. (But please don't give "situation outfit" to them cruelly lol.) I don't mind about the same couple appearing again and again if it's for a more special situation. This time, I can't make up my mind to play the main save until there are some mods to fix this. (Sadly I can't disable this pack because I already use the new hairstyle from this EP in my main sims because it fits him perfectly. And I'm busy lately, so I can wait longer.) That's all! I don't save this process in my main save, but I am honestly happy with Roswell for having a lovely moment time during this short period, even in the Gym! I would really love to be able to change the wall height per room instead of per floor, the same way it works with foundations right now. I know there is a way around it (by using half walls and the roof trick) but that's really glitchy and just a lot of work for something that I think is achievable (it was the same way with foundations and those are now "fixed"). Hopefully this is something that's added in the future! :)
Suggestion to add fairies!
With the implementation of spellcasters, werewolves, vampires, mermaids etc, i really love fairies and folklore, and since they were also in the sims 3, i feel like this would be a great addition to the sims 4 as an occult for people like me who love occults! I have lots of ideas! General Concepts: Fairies could have different paths they could go down (light and dark) like vampires and werewolves A skill tree that featuresmany different powers and possible weaknesses similar to vampires and werewolves Wings could be diverse, ranging from Tinkerbell-style wings to butterfly, moth, or dragonfly-like wings and being able to choose the colour like the mermaid tails Ears could be pointy, and have special eye colours or forms for only fairies Potentiallydifferent kinds of fairies with their own specific set of skills Incorporate visual effects like sparkles, glows, and auras Choose default flying or default walking as travelling style similar to the sims 3 (hovering) Fairy Lore (similar to vampire lore) Unique Aspirations and traits Powers/Abilities: perform spells to nurture plants, change the weather, or create natural phenomena that influence gameplay and the environment, similar to sims 3. These could also be subjective to whether they choose a light/dark path. Tricks similar to spellcasters (transfiguration, repairing, cleaning, plants growing ofc) Being able to cast auras, affecting moodlets to benefit themselves and others Ability to heal plants and animals, restoring their health and vigor. This ability could also extend to other Sims, providing temporary buffs to their moods or well-being. Bestowing flight upon non occult sims (similar to sims3) Animal communication? Fairies could summon animals to assist them much like the familiars that spellcasters have. Cant fly in rain? (inspiration from tinkerbell), having a negative moodlet Worlds: Could have 2 new worlds; one that is sort of based on irish/celtic aesthetics (as fairies are celtic folklore) or foresty, and then a special world like in realm of magic that is like a woodland enchanted grove / pixie hollow Fairy Houses within the special world Introduce community lots like fairy taverns or magical marketplaces where players can interact with other Sims and trade magical items in the special world Fairy statues or shrines that grant blessings or temporary buffs to Sims (like in sims 3) These are only ideas and suggestions, PLS EA IM BEGGING!! Theres so much that could be done with an enchanted/fairy pack!
I want to opt out of romantic satisfaction.
I generally like the lovestruck pack, but having to have my sims constantly act romantically to each other to keep romantic satisfaction high is a drag. They have jobs, kids to raise, meals to cook ... maybe it's realistic that these things would put strain on a relationship, but I pretty routinely end up with my sims now just deciding to be friends with their significant others rather than have to deal with it. Just ... give me a toggle in game options.
My ideas for new expansion packs.
Dear sims, i see what you are doing for others with expansion pack ideas, please grant my wishes. Many of these are commonly asked for and not new ideas, so I'm sure they have at least been discussed. Regardless I will ask once again. Here are my ideas: Sims 4 Animal Adventure New world like safari/outback theme type theme, with elements of Aboriginal or African culture. Can have a sky scraper downtown section, perhaps another smaller suburb section, and then an outback/ safari section comparable to snowy escape where you can go on adventures and unlock new lots/ see new areas Exotic animal career: can have two diff paths. One like the marine biologist in island paradise, and the other one like an exotic pet vet/care taker New lot could be animal sanctuary lot? Could have enclosures for exotic animals but allow them to roam free, so similar to a zoo but with more freedom. Could have skills animal husbandry or something. Also can unlock habitat items and animals in careers. Most importantly, new animals and pets! Can have household exotic pets like bunnies, snakes, turtles, etc. but also more non playable animals for the safari like tigers, lions, hippo, crocodile, etc. Sims 4 Rock and Roll 70s & hippie themed packed. If not just 70s could be multiple decades, perhaps called something like “playing through decades” BANDS! Sims playing together New instruments like bass, electric guitar, drums More options for custom song writing (could choose a genre, mood, instruments played, write a description). Sims could send it to a radio station and have it get played to get famous Also, more options for kids/teens at school so they can join choir/orchestra or also start a band. Subculture feature: similar to club system, you can design for own sub culture. The diff between this and clubs is that the sims assign themselves a subculture/are born into it rather than pick the sims within the club. This way many sims can be within a culture/ it’s less limiting. There can be open and closed subcultures and sims can appeal to join closed subcultures. If sims have traits that don’t align with the subculture they are in, they can get a “poser” trait or outlet. Also, holidays can be specific to a subculture, so you can have religions without sims explicitly saying that. Same with lot traits. As far as new traits, they’re can be “traditional/ mainstream or free spirited/alternative”. Traditional sims get along better with other traditional sims and are weary of free spirited sims. They are prone to doing traits/ activities within their subculture and can get a negative moodlet if they stray too much. Free spirited sims are the opposite, they are friendly and open to all subcultures and like to learn about other Simss but are weary of traditional sims. They may get a negative moodlet if they repeat too many of the same activities or don’t explore beyond their subcultures.. New lot: recording studio. Idk if this already exists but if it does it could use a revamp. If not then radio station, concert venue, etc for lots New world. One idea is New York with a downtown neighborhood like Times Square, a neighborhood like Brooklyn with townhomes, and a Hamptons inspired neighborhood for rich and famous. Or revamp: expansion of the LA world with a playable beach and more beachfront lots, nicer city area/downtown. Sims 4 Fairytale. New world. Could go a lot of routes on where it’s based on. Maybe Ireland? Can have an enchanted forest where fairies and other occults live, an island bluff area, and a cute downtown village. there could be some sort of explorer career, where sims have to go on adventures to discover town lore. Like a fairy tail expert one. There could also be a historian career. If sims get advanced enough in fairy tale or writer career, they can either discover new fairy tale worlds or create their own. The worlds can have certain features of the world to adjust like climate patterns, festivals, and common culture/traits in the town. There could be a selection of world styles to select and players can expand upon that (like an island world, mountain world, forest world, city world, etc). I would love for the sims to have large customizable worlds but this probably isn’t realistic, so these could be smaller worlds or have multiple worlds to unlock. Of course, fairies! With skills like the other occults. Could include royalty system with rulers and all that. Sims 4 Arctic Explorer This could be An Alaska or Norway type world. similar to snowy escape in that 3 neighbors, one with a more busy but still quaint downtown near the ocean, a traditional more wooded area with cabins, and alpine type mountains/ forests to explore. Expansion of outdoor retreat. Certainly have cabins and cabin, but more outdoor features. Actual bears, deer, wildlife. Hiking as a skill like climbing. Fishing boats and canoes! That would be so fun. What I’m begging for and wish would’ve been in the sulani world but could instead be included here is active diving like in the sims 3. It was so much fun. You could explore ship wrecks, search for treasure, look for animals, etc. pack could feature components of Inuit culture. Discoverable locations House boats! Again like the Sims 3 This pack could come with hotels. But sims can still live in the world Really what I’m describing is just the sims 3 isla paradiso but since there is already a tropical island world have it be a northern ocean theme I know there are already mermaids so I doubt they’ll do this but could have sirens that have actual skills and abilities like the other occults. I wish there was a way to order a copy of a sims birth certificate. If you have a home birth you never get one, starter sims never get one, and the item sometimes glitches out or players forget to place them in inventory before moving or renovating. I imagine it would be easy to add this to the order list on the phone or computer in game. That or make it an item we can buy and add the name too, thought that would feel way less special to me it would make it possible to "pretend" the birth certificate given name has been changed since so its like a memory. Just a thought ive been playing the sims games longer then 15 years, thanks for thousands of hours of fun.
Feedback to EA Games - Reaper Rewards
EA Games, I recently started playing the Sims 4, it was great I loved it so I went out and like an idiot purchased several expansion packs, stuff packs, kits etc... and honestly, yes it has some really annoying glitches like the lock design is terrible and rarely really works and the doors will lock and unlock by themselves etc. I can live with that. Overall it was a fun game, recently with the release of the "Reaper Rewards" event and the trailer for the new expasion I was super jazzed, then when the Reaper Rewards start it went from good to bad to I would probably be willing to join a class action lawsuit at this point annoyed. I feel very much lied to and mislead I would be able to participate in the event, I thought that ok, a few days you would fix the glitches.. I was wrong. It is, of course still broken. I have done everything to try to "Summon the Grim Reaper" with the reward item. I do not have any mods and I have bought and sold the item many times thinking maybe there was something glitching, I have tried on multiple days for several weeks now and of course you have not fixed it. I have wasted countless hours trying to fix this glitch. I am not programer or game designer and I am not on your payroll, it not my JOB to do your developers and programers work. You are sucking people in with a promise of these events and then denying them. That is False Adertising, which is illegal. This is an issue you know about and have not taken any steps to fix. You are not able to contacted directly so I am doing it publicly. How do you plan to release an expansion if you are unable get this event to work? You are conning people out of money for your game and then not giving them what they were suppose to be entitled to recieve. How is this ethical? The game itself is wonderful I like it, however, it is sad that you are behaving so unethically and it is sad you are making people who are not employed by your company be the ones to fix the problem you have people on pay roll to do. Is that called slavery? When you make people do something and not pay them for it? I am pretty sure that is unethical as well. I have some pretty serious concerns with your company and based on the fact you have made it impossible to have people contact you directly about it I am sure you know exactly what you are doing. I have tried post on the forums and googling the answer etc. After 2 weeks, I am just done. For give me for being short but time is the vaubale asset we all have and the fact you feel my time is worth nothing really makes me angry. Your treatment of customers is completely attrocious, the quality of your game individually is as far as content is ok, the game play / build is fun, but the rest makes me just angry. I should not come on to a game to be angry. How is that fun? I have wasted hundreds of dollars buying content for my game play only to have it ruined by false marketing/adervertising and non-existant customer service.

African Inspired Sims 4 world (Music Fest Pack - create band) IDEA🤔
Africa is often referred to as the birthplace of music. Many global music genres—such as jazz, blues, rock, and reggae—have roots in African musical traditions. By setting a music festival in an African-inspired world, the pack can explore and celebrate the diversity and cultural significance of music on a global scale. Music Fest Pack (Expansion or Game Pack Idea) Feasibility of Integrating this Idea into the Game: They did an in-game music festival in 2021, so the codes already exists. Sims 3 Showtime codes can also be reused for this pack. Location Inspiration: Lagos, Nigeria or Cape Town, South Africa. Or, mix different cities from the continent of Africa into one world via neighborhoods. Example: One neighborhood is Lagos (Nigeria) inspired, another Cape Town inspired, or Kigali (Rwanda) inspired. Careers (Note: There is a musician career branch that currently exists but it’s a rabbit hole.) Solo Musician or Band Musician (Active Career): Career Dynamic: As Sims’ skills increase (Instrument, Singing, Charisma, Entrepreneur) and build relationships with key figures (i.e., Promoter, Producer, etc.), they’ll unlock access to higher-paying gigs, exclusive venues, and special events. For those choosing the band musician path, managing relationships with band members is crucial. Band member's skills, moods, relationship levels will impact band performances. Players can ask NPC Sims or Sims outside their household to join the band. Regular practice sessions with the band will increase skills for everyone and improve overall performance quality. Sims can choose from existing in-game music genres or explore new ones introduced with the pack. Challenges: When asking a Sim to join a band, they will express their opinion on the band’s primary genre. If they love the genre, they’ll be more eager to join and more motivated during practice and performances. If a sim dislike the genre, there’s a chance they’ll reject the offer to join the band or join reluctantly, which could result in lower performance quality, slower-skill progression, and no shows or disagreements during band practice. A band member leaves the group if their relationship with other members deteriorates. Music Producer (Active Career): Career Dynamic: Gives players a chance to shape the music industry from behind the scenes, using their Sims’ creativity and business acumen to turn aspiring musicians into superstars. This career allows Sims to find new talent, produce music, manage bands, and strategize to grow their record label or personal brand. Skills needed: Music skill (i.e. piano, etc), Charisma Skill, and Logic Skill. If players have get together pack (DJ skills) or Get Famous pack (media production skill). Player will chose which direction to take: manage a band or a solo artist. Once Sims find their first artist or band, they’ll start by recording demo tracks (you can rent a recording studio), organizing small gigs, and promote their artist’s music on social media. As you progress through the career, you will unlock the ability to build your own recording studio. Career Goal: Reach Level 10 and Run your own record label, sign top talent, release albums, and host major events like Music Awards Shows. Bird Kit
Now that they opened the door with Ravens in the upcoming expansion, there is no longer any excuse not to put multiple birds back into the game. I want a whole kit designed around birds. Fun cages. Different perches. Lots of species of both large and small birds. Maybe even the option of feeding a bird from your hand. I do not care if they are found in the wild or can be collected. I just want pet birds back in the game. Oh, and no death by pet birds ... just a fun pet to own. And if they cannot do this in a kit, then another type of pack. I miss my Sims 3 birds.
Vacation themed EP idea
Idea for a vacation themed expansion pack. 3 themed worlds based around real world locations. Livable worlds. A skill specific to each location that can be learned by visiting the location. This skill could be craft based like ceramics or activity based like surfing. Harvestables unique to each location Souvenirs unique to each location Festival for each location with unique foods, souvenirs, and activities. Culture based skill for each world similar to the one from Jungle adventure but with unlocks for each level. Level up by exploring the world, interacting with locals, and trying new foods. Each level unlocks new experiences, Level 1- new recipes, Level 2- new socials, Level 3- unlocks new craftables on wood crafting table, Level 4- additional recipes, Level 5- unlocks unique furniture. New boats, bikes etc. New cas and bb based around locations. Career that requires travel Ability to book multi destination trips Ability for kids/teens to be homeschooled Ability to see what the weather is like in other neighborhoods As far as locations go, I would like to see something Australian. I would love to see more from Asia. Iceland is another destination that interests me. We (desperately) need more photo frames.
So I was thinking it would be really great if we could get more photo frames for our in-game pictures. Right now we only have one kind and it really doesn’t fit in older houses. They would look so great both on the furniture and walls. For instance when I play with Vampires, I’d like to have old, oval , more vintage looking photo frames. It would fit so much better in their homes. For my everyday gameplay, I’d like more classic wooden photo frames. Also why not add more shapes. Oval and square for instance. Note - I'm a firm believer in cross-pack integration and functionality. If a new pack can have some features that unlock things for a previous pack and it improves or freshens the experience that give the other pack a bit more longevity, then it's worth doing. But what do I know I've only been in sales and marketing for 15 years. This should be a pack that is respectful since it deals with death a difficult subject for some people. However it absolutely must be creepy and atmospheric and detailed. This is also an obvious opportunity to Update Occults/Supernatural aspects as well. If they are doing something with the Grim Reaper they probably have it already figured out about what powers you would have if you are playing as him. This is more a list to complement a pack that would deal with the Grim Reaper, death and related subjects. It also gives me another opportunity to suggests things I've always wanted in game. For what its worth here is what I would like to see. The Grim Reaper - Small Details Bonehilda still has a crush on the Grim Reaper Grim Reaper will again do the ding-d*o*n*g ditch prank from Sims 2 at midnight on Halloween (Spooky Day) if you have 4 Jack O'Lanterns out within 4 tiles of your front door If you have Spooky Day cookies sitting out at Midnight there will be a chance that Grim will show up and take one and raid the nectar supply, which will in turn leave puddle as he is a skeleton Grim Reaper will allow a Sim Ghost to play chess against him and if they win Grim will resurrect the ghost. The Grim Reaper is cordial but resents Vampires because they are creatures that have cheated Death i.e. Grim The Grim Reaper feels sorry for Zombies but doesn't resent them because it already reaped their soul when they passed away Grim isn't evil they just look that way. Sims 4 “Free Will”
Sims 4 “Free Will”. There are so many suggestions to make the Sims 4 better or adding elements that one thinks will make their game play more fun. I enjoy all the add ons that are offered. There has been so many things added to the game I believe “Free Will” has been lost. Since the Lovestruck ep (which I don’t have yet) there has been major bugs or glitches across the board. I believe “Free Will” the AI mechanics needs to be looked at to enhance the game play and to make sure it’s keeping up with everything new in the game. It really is frustrating when your sim is standing around doing nothing, or not interacting the way Sims should. The Sims need more “Free Will”, they get confused at times at what they need to do. I really have had no major issues with this until I started adding the add ons.
More Inclusive Holiday Options
I am honestly amazed that this hasn't been implemented yet. There is no reason all Sims should universally get a negative moodlet for not participating in a holiday. Please make space for more diverse traditions! If I want one house to celebrate Hannukah and another house to celebrate Christmas, I should be able to. Allow calendars to be individualized to each household. There could still be an option to apply holidays to all households, maybe where you edit holidays there can be a toggle, just for this house or for all houses. But the option really needs to be there. I'm just saying. Diversity is soooo important to my Sim world. I love incorporating and exploring with different sim cultures. It really kinds of ruins it for me when I have to use cheats to remove negative moodlets for a Sim that doesn't even subscribe to that tradition. I know you can just stick with one household until the holiday is over but I very frequently switch households multiple times in one Sim day, sometimes even more so on holidays. Pleeeeeeaase add this feature!
EXPANSION WITH VEHICLES! Why not?
I would really like the directors, creators, etc. of the company to look at my post. I have a question. Why doesn't the company create an expansion for The Sims 4 that includes vehicles and even professions based on cars or something like that? In the old games of the franchise we had cars, buses and even helicopters. Why don't we have them now? Please! Create an expansion with cars, motorcycles, racing driver professions, etc. PLEASE, EA!!New expansion/pack ideas
Clothing. Most people that play the sims like the realism aspect of the game, which is why a lot of people download all of these mods. I don't know about other people, but I don't wear the same everyday outfit, swimsuit, or workout clothes. Now, you can go back into cas and change up your look, but that takes too long. We should have an option in our settings or something to get stuck with whatever outfit we originally set for our sim in create a sim. We would have to buy all new outfits online or at a store. There could be postal delivery workers that leave packages at your door (like groceries and pizza get left). There's a chance you got the wrong size for your sim or the parcel was damaged in some way. You could go to your closet and set up 7 days worth of outfits, that way you could use a past sims feature and wear everyday outfit 1, 2, etc. The careers could be modeling or being a seamstress. New items could be a runway or a sewing machine. Another idea, Disneyland or disney world. I don't know what rights would be like to get something like that, but you could have coasters and rides like in the high school years neighborhood. You could also have theme park themed foods and merchandise. You could even make it into just a vacation world. You could make hotels like in the sims 3 where you choose your room. Make reservations. The bibbidi bobbidi boutique could be added for those little sims. You could also have an option to book the sims disney cruise vacation option. Bring back the stroller feature for the little kids you bring. Have meltdowns over long waits in lines. Have the option to buy the fast pass tickets on the computer. Get photos with the park characters. Just because I KNOW every simmer loves the drama, you could also make a story mode version of like a dating show. I'm thinking "the bachelor", or "love is blind", shows of that nature. It could be a vacation option. You would most likely want to establish your sim's career before you go because you wouldn't want to tell potential partners in this world that you're unemployed, and could maybe even preset that quick, so that nobody there or at least most people that would be there wouldn't liked unemployed sims. When you choose to vacation there, you would get the option to confirm that you want to be on the game show. When you enter, you enter the house and there's preset and random drama events that go down. You could have separate locations set for special dates you win, Game day areas, or the beach. You could add the surfing and yachting skills. If your sim couple wins the show, you could win a lot of simoleons, and choose next steps with your sim partner. Like an option for them to move in with you or get engaged, etc. If your sims losses, you could stay in contact with other players. You can continue to watch the show on your TV at home, and there could be a chance your sims partner chooses to leave the show to be with you anyways or stay and hookup with someone else, breaking your sims heart. Traits could be ruthless or heart of gold or something. I have more ideas, but these would be AMAZING!Option to Rotate BEFORE Placing Gallery Uploads in Build & Buy?
Some builds are elaborate and the game has difficulty rotating them quickly once they've been placed, moreso than it would appear to have if it knew in advance that we'd want to place the build in a different orientation from the outset. I suspect that this is because rotation after the fact has to account for other potential issues, such as objects which could be on the lot which wouldn't have survived being uploaded to the gallery (or Sims from a paused Live Mode, for that matter). So, if it wouldn't be too much trouble... could we see something... anything... to indicate what orientation the game is about to use before it does so, giving us the opportunity to alter that in advance? Because the builds in question are so elaborate, I'm not asking for anything comprehensive. A mesh silhouette of the blueprint (similar to how move and rotate behave prior to starting their work) would easily handle the vast majority of cases.
Update Idea??/New Pack Idea??
I feel like it would be great if maybe something along the lines of maybe 'Legacy Pack' or 'Nostalgia Pack' where it includes stuff from other Sims games that aren't in the sims 4 like for example, burglars. We REALLY need these random townie outfits to be fixed, ASAP. And it seems the more packs you have, the more outrageous the randomly generated outfits become. I think having or being able to save premade outfits are a great idea, that would make townie makeovers so much easier. Or at the very least, there should be a specific selection of outfits that have been put together by an actual person (Devs or otherwise) for the algorithm to choose from. The randomly generated Sims and their outfits are just a bit too, well, random. It is way too time consuming to fix every weird looking townie and their outfits. But I feel like I don't really have a choice because playing with them looking like that really bothers me lol. I also don't appreciate when I spend 3 hours in CAS meticulously planning 5 perfect outfits for every category....And then I see that sim out and about still in the most absurd get up ever. This not only happens to NPCs, but also my active or played households as well. Like why is my recently revamped Mortimer in a purple sequence vest, hiking boots, super short gyms shorts, with his eyebrow pierced and wearing a top hat...... Maybe its just because I have more packs now but I don't remember it ever being this bad before. This problem has become very pronounced. Also, even more than just the clothes, random generated townies even just look weird physically. The characteristics they end up with just don't fit together. Surely there has got to be a better algorithm to make normal looking townies (And by normal I just mean not a bizarre mish-mash of features. And not being dressed like an alien who saw a clown once and thinks this is how all humans dress) LikeNon-household sims shouldn’t harvest
Butlers, ghosts (with haunted lot trait), neighbors, tend to harvest plants aka steal them. I don’t think gardening services do this. I wish they would stop, especially the ghosts! I can lock out the others, but ghosts just walk in. I turned off the haunted lot trait but I really would like to keep it on.

How CAS can Improve in 2025
I love Create a Sim but as the years have past it has become clear there are more limitations than I'd like so here’s my list of 31 improvements I think CAS needs to shine. Separate age and laugh lines under skin detail into their specific categories like brow, cheek, eye, and mouth detail. Allow bangs and fringes to be added separately to any hairstyle. Introduce the spray paint and colour wheel feature from pets to hairstyles, letting us add highlights or custom designs as we wish. Create a separate category for hair accessories like beads, hair clips, and headbands, independent of the hat category. Introduce hair textures to change existing hairstyles to match any hair type, be it straight, curly, coiled, etc. Add a stubble category under facial hair, allowing both stubble and full beards to be layered together. Enable the simultaneous use of medical devices and earrings. Freckles, Moles, and Birthmarks. Expand the availability of natural skin marks such as birthmarks and freckles. Allow them to be layered with makeup and tattoos and to be more customizable in size, placement and colour. Add scarves as their own accessory category. Allow click-and-drag functionality to position accessories like eyewear, piercings, and necklaces exactly where we want them. As much as I love having eyelashes in makeup, please make them invisible in first-person mode. Thanks! Let us adjust hue, opacity, saturation, and brightness for tattoos, body scars, and skin details, similar to makeup options. Allow tattoos, scars, and skin details to be dragged and repositioned anywhere on the body. More Diverse Face and Body Sliders. This would include options for adjusting muscle tone, arm length, hip width, or more nuanced facial features like nose width, jaw depth, and cheekbones. Asymmetrical Customization. Adding the ability to make facial and body features asymmetrical (such as having one eyebrow higher than the other or different-sized eyes) would greatly enhance the uniqueness of Sim's creation. Add prosthetics. Create a new optional "undershirts" category for items like tank tops, sports bras, corsets, and skin-tight tees, worn under any other clothing. Introduce a "jackets" category for layering over tops, full-body outfits, and undershirts, with items like jackets, aprons, overalls, and robes. Separate overalls from tops, allowing them to be paired with any shirt or undershirt. Make aprons wearable over any outfit. Create a "belts" category, allowing them to be worn over or under any clothing. Add a "bags" category for accessories like backpacks and purses that can be added to any outfit. Include a filter to separate base game content from custom content (CC). Add a toggle to easily switch between custom CAS backgrounds, including those in the mods folder, without having to manually add or remove them. Organize CC within CAS by letting us sort and save content into folders, making it easier to locate items during gameplay. Update Sim voices with more nuanced accents to better represent diverse cultures and backgrounds. Move traits like vegetarian and lactose intolerant into a "lifestyles" category, freeing up trait slots. Allow us to save styled looks that can then be easily shared within the community. Add a toggle to control whether Sims stand still, move, or strike poses while being dressed. Enable custom heights for Sims. Add in-game ability to flag broken or wanted CC so we can easily identify it and remove it from our mods folder. While some of these features may already exist in mods, I believe it's crucial they get officially patched in, making them accessible to all players, including those on consoles. When The Future Is Plumbob Green blog post was released, I wasn’t too upset about there being no Sims 5 on the horizon. The Sims 4 is an amazing game, and with the wealth of expansion, game, stuff packs, and kits we've collected over the years, it truly feels like there’s endless content. Stripping that down to a new base game would honestly feel like a step backward. CAS has evolved a lot since its launch in 2014, and I hope this list serves as feedback for even more positive changes. I've been in love with Laundry Day stuff pack for a long time. Laundry is actually a home activity I like to do and being able to do it in TS4 has been a dream come true. However, it has been 6 years since it came out and I noticed I've grown kinda bored over time. I noticed how simple the pack is and, sometimes, I've felt frustrated with the lacking of options in it, specially when it comes to the items that really make Laundry Day its thing. We have: Front loading (washing machine/dryer); A wash tub; Clothing hampers; A clothesline. With the rest of the pack, it's mostly construction options for furniture, doors and windows, mostly country styled, and other options such as laundry shelves and some ironing board; most of these, if not all of them, work as decorations and surfaces for random objects rather than actual functional objects for doing laundry, and that's what always makes me feel so frustrated and disappointed with this stuff pack. I know laundry is just a small portion of all that TS4 world has to offer, however, even if it is small, it shouldn't be so forgettable and bland. On one side I understand that the main objective of laundry is basically washing clothes, however, this pack becomes way too simple as: Wash clothes > Dry clothes > Wear clothes > and repeat, with nothing in between or no major feeling of actually having your clothes/garments well cared. I've thought of things that should come with an update, to give even more options than we have: Top loading washing machines and a classic stackable washer and dryer (I've grown with a top loading washing machine in my hometown); Clothesline varieties (just one clothesline option becomes too boring, specially for gaudier houses); An actual and functional ironing table (not mandatory in the laundry process, but if done can trigger positive moodlets for the sim); More options on products for laundry (even if it's just for decoration, I've been using the same laundry product in TS4 for 6 years); Moodlets for doing even deeper cleaning of your clothes (like, changing products can make a sim Inspired, ironing clothes can make a sim Confident. Or if a sim isclumsy, they have higher chances of burning clothes, which can make themEmbarrassed and, assuming you have Seasons Expansion Pack, putting clothes to dry and then a rain comes by can make a simTense). These are some of the ideas I have for an update that could make the Laundry Day Stuff Pack more interesting and appealing to the players of the game. I've been looking for CC for laundry in TS4 and, as much as the community manages to do everything it can to make the game more interesting, most of the time these mods don't actually fully work and some of them it's very very hard to find (almost impossible). So, I think the developers should take a look into making an update for this Stuff Pack. These are my ideas and opinions and I want to hear what the community of TS4 has to say. Why is this how the saves and misc stuff routed...
I am not sure if this has been mentioned before, but I feel its important to know why the directory for mods, saves and all that other stuff has to go to documents in the main drive of any computer. I like to have extra content on my games to help create really good and immersive characters for when I play. But eventually my drive runs out of space and I am forced to delete mods..... Now yes there apparently a way around this by tricking your game into thinking its going into the main drive by some sort of linking using the command prompt for windows but that's such a complicated method and is unfair to those who can't do something like that or are not as tech savvy. And Sims is not the only game like this. I just can't come up with other examples since they're not games I have (I think...). Anyway, I just find its really stupid honestly. It should be a choice. When I installed the game and was gven the choice of where the folder would end up, I was under the impression that it would include the previously mentioned folder. I have things I do, I am a photographer, especially with games. And those pictures pile up ya know? And I have games I want to run the fastest and put them on my main drive. I don't want to have to upgrade my main drive or buy a new SSD just so I can have the speed for a few games when speed isn't what I worry about with The Sims....Life and Death
The last expansion broke the game some badly it made the game nearly unplayable in live mode. Sure you can make characters and build houses, but, actually playing the game is a buggy disaster. I don't know how anyone could possibly be excited about a new expansion when the game isn't really even playable in it's current state(or at least the state the game was in the first month the last expansion launched). I just don't get what EA are doing because they never release working products and they expect us to just jump on board every time.CAS Copy & Paste Feature
I was SOO excited when I heard we were finally getting a copy and paste feature in CAS in the Sims 4. But, I was a little disappointed when I used it for myself for the first time the other day. As someone who has so many random townies who wears the most random accessories and makeup, I find it upsetting there is no way to copy and paste just a bare face of someone who wears no makeup and no accessories. It takes me so much time to go through every clothing category to remove random cas/cc items from the sim, that if I could just copy and paste a plain/bare face it would save me SO much time. When I want to copy and paste a face of someone who is not wearing any accessories/makeup, the copy and paste button blurs out and prevents me from clicking on it.

Just a few ideas I have for it. -Basic Bathroom kit. Just a nice bathroom set that contains everything. Shower, Bath, Shower/bath combo, sink with table attached, loose sink, counter, mirror, rugs, lights, towels, shelves, a cabinet, toilet roll, curtains, floor tiles and wall tiles, etc. And all with many colour swatches. I don't like how hard it can be to put together a matching bathroom. -Untamed Men's kit. Torn pants, faded band shirts positioned a bit messy, rough beards and stubble, more body hair options, unkept haircuts, worn sneakers, bandana's, a backwards cap, dirty socks, a faded leather jacket... I'd just want a whole pack of stuff like this because men have so few options in this, almost everything makes them look like a supermodel. -Used furniture kit. A lot of super cheap furniture that looks worn and might even be held together with tape, it could even give a negative modifier on environment. Counters with edges broken off, worn tables and cabinets with stains on them, couches and chairs with torn fabric, scratches and stains, a creaky old bed with sheets that have holes in them, torn curtains, a bookcloset with a broken shelf, a clothing cabinet with a door that does not seem quite properly closed, a chess set with improvised pieces, a cracked mirror, also carpets and wallpaper to match. -Used appliances kit. Cheap and risky appliances that are more likely to break or catch fire, and also have a higher chance of electrocuting sims even when their skill is high. Comes with a fridge and all kitchen appliances but also a computer, TV, toilet, shower, poorly working thermostat, fire alarm that might catch fire itself when it goes off, a hot tub that barely works and is a lightning magnet, a radio that has a chance of catching fire when it breaks... Pretty much everything you might need to turn a house into a death trap and can really let sims want to save up for something better. -Men's formal wear kit. All kinds of suits, a pair of dress gloves, several formal hats, a bit of jewellery, formal shoes, suits with a warm coat over it that can also be used as cold weather wear, watches, etc. Let men suit up! -Star Wars original trilogy kit. Does not require Journey to Batuu, but the clothing here can be worn there too. It's a batch of outfits from the original three movies, with colour swatches too. A proper Darth Vader suit, Luke's main outfits for all three movies, Hoth clothing that can be used as winter wear, Lando's blue outfit with cape, an imperial officer outfit with hat, Han Solo's main outfits, Leia's various outfits and hairstyles that aren't hats, various rebel outfits, storm trooper armour, etc. -Walk with style kit. A kit that adds about a dozen different canes for Sims to use, for which they can use several new walking animations: Weak like they really need it, formal and with swagger. Also lets sims hit others with their cane or trip them with it. Also comes with a stand to store canes in if not kept in the inventory, for display. -Tattoo kit. Just adds a lot of tattoos for all areas of the body, even allows for a Sim to have every inch of skin tattooed. It would contain like a dozen full tattoo sets for each area of the body that match, with a few colour swatches too. -Instrumental kit. Adds several new options for every instrument in the game, also the microphone for singers. Play music in style! -Accessoires kit. Just a while kit filled with hats, scarfs, gloves, socks, glasses, shades, necklaces, rings, bracelets, earrings and all that. In all kinds of styles and for both men and women.Music you might want to see in the game.
I was just listening to Outrun Myself by Jack Kays and thought it would be a song I would like to hear in the game, if it was at all possible also feel free to add any songs you like to the list, comment below and who knows maybe the developers will read this and have a look.

If EA isn't going to makes sims 5 then all previous games should become downloadable and free to play. Whether or not they update them if the sims franchise is ending makes all games available. As someone who's had every game and now cant play because modern PCs don't support CD games anymore it should just be available and simmers can experience og (non broken) games.

I am apart of a Facebook group that has a bunch of ideas for new content which would be great if Sims4 creators would make! Am I the only one who wants to add these life stages? I hate that it's only infant, toddler, kid, teen. 5 year old kids are vastly different from 9 year olds. Same with 12 year olds and 16 year olds. I also wants the family portraits to come back. That was my favorite part of the sims 3. Does anyone else agree? Let's let EA hear us!!!The Sims 4 Zodiac Traits
Make it Zodiac Traits and Acquired Traits. The followings specifically refer to Zodiac Traits. For The 48 Periods, please refer to Personology (by Gary Goldschneider). The 48-Traits Edition Make it three groups of traits: Sun Traits, Moon Traits, Rising Traits. There are the same 48 traits in all of the groups. Since the season is for 7 days and the moon phase cycle is for 8 days in The Sims 4, make each Sun Trait advance once every 14 hours, each Moon Trait advance once every 4 hours, each Rising Trait advance once every 30 minutes in the time system. When a Sim is born, he or she could have three different, or two same and one different, or three same traits. If a Sim has three same traits, then this type of trait of him or her is strong, and so on. Astrologers can give Sims good blind dates or bad ones. There are three sets of 48 types of actions for Sims. The first set is for Sims who have three different traits, and they have three types of actions from this set according to what traits they have. The actions in the first set are weak. The second set is for Sims who have two same and one different traits, and they have two types of actions from this and the first set according to what traits they have. The actions in the second set are average. The third set is for Sims who have three same traits, and they have only one type of action from this set according to what traits they have. Please choose the better edition which you think. 🙂 Alchemists can change objects into coins or into trash. A small-sized bronze coin is for 1 simoleon, silver coin for 5 simoleons, gold coin for 10 simoleons; a medium-sized bronze coin is for 50 simoleons, silver coin for 100 simoleons, gold coin for 500 simoleons; a large-sized bronze coin is for 1,000 simoleons, silver coin for 5,000 simoleons, gold coin for 10,000 simoleons. Sims can pick up coins from the ground and deposit them in a bank, a piggy bank, and a strong box. When Sims are going to use simoleons in African, European, Asian cities, they must change them into African, European, Asian dollars. The exchange rate fluctuates every day.
