Re: Why Aren't Freeze Decks a "Thing" Right Now?

I'm with you on this too. I just mentioned in the balance thread that for the first time in a while I played against a freeze deck, and dude was like 46. So something has to be working out for that particular player. And it was a good deck too. I think that I can fairly judge a decent deck, when even though I didn't get the game I wanted, bad draw is part of the game, and a bad draw is still an okay draw with my deck. Anyways, I did end up losing, barely, but that doesn't matter how close I was, I lost, and they played a good game, and obviously the first thing that I thought, was"why is that so rare to see"?
Dont chilly peppers freeze the fossilhead? Or snowpeas? Just saying, someone's playing with a Rose freeze deck and is level 46 and climbing, they have had to come across the fossilheads and stompadon ar least a few times, right?

  • I stopped laying rank for over a week, because of fossil head, stompadon etc.. Any how, I played today with new deck, not so many of either today. Why? Perhaps they've already ranked up. Perhaps they cashed in other cards to get their winning deck, or bought them? They've made their UL and now bored of the game after thrashing everyone. Shame, these new cards you say are coming didn't come at the same time as the others, that way it might have been a bit more equal?

Snowdrop deck remember me Doubled Mint, when you read the description, you get excited, Woow so powerful!! but in the game, it's so weak, once you play it, everyone focuses on ir, and any deadly zombie can destroy easily, I remember the first season, only Smelly Zombie it was the threat, this plant was great,  but now there are thousands of ways to make any zombie to deadly... Tricks and more. And when they are small they are very weak.
it takes a lot of effort make grow Snowdrop, Doubled Mint, Pea Pod and others.

that's why I'm not very interested in freezing decks.

Chilly pepper does freeze the fossilhead, but it costs 3 mana, that means best you can do if your opponent plays the combo on turn 3 is to freeze it and deal 2 damage. You will have to freeze it at least one more time to kill. That is a very bad tempo. I personally run jolly berries, that helps against this said deck immensely (especially with winter squash), but its rather weak against aggro.

Stompadon is easier, hope you'll get goatify or transmogrify and save it. If not, play winter squash on turn 4, which is not a good thing to do under other circumstances. I would actually say that freeze deck is rather good against stompadon. I remember losing to those decks only 2 or 3 times, when I was real unlucky with my draws.
