Yes, everyone is playing. Perhaps before you blame the game you should blame your connection. Btw we don't need to know how much you paid for it as everyone else paid the same price.
Instead of adding an extended rant, add more info on your issue so we can possibly help you @bokkoms. What have you done to fix it so far?
If EA sold game to someone in asia than they should have servers in that area as well if someone is outside EU and USA he can't buy a sea fiber optic of his own and even if he do still there is distance problem so he will never get good ping in EU or USA servers so it would be great to have servers in singapore , dubai areas for asian people
I learned that if I want to shoot someone i must try judge where he be at if have ping of 300+. I can never shoot person on my screen showing he standing infront of my crosshair. I must aim or judge if he will move left or right and shoot in that area, That the only way i can kill someone. The other thing is if i run i just suddenly die and then person pops around corner where theres nothing on my screen. Losing my temper with this game and rather stop playing this game and so far everyone in our country complaining about this. Why cant we have just one server in SA? To play on servers that like 10 000 miles away pointless. Why did even bother selling this game to countries outside EU and US?
It's the same situation in Australia.

This game is a total waste of money in any country outside of EU / USA
I don't think the game is a waste of money due to its content, but for the simple fact I can't freaking play it. Every time I log on to multiplayer, I can't get a game the servers are empty. I am getting tired of the lobby saying "Settling for empty games". And there is no way to see what game types have people playing ... argh... waste of money indeed.
DON'T blame the conection and countries outside EU and US! I this says it all:
"It's been 2 days I can't play because of "bad connection to the server". Ports open. Anti Virus firewall open or deactivated. Like a half a dozen tickets open, ping test, speed test, and UOtrace that some EA Customer help told me it's my ISP problem. Called my ISP and everything is FINE. Of course it is. I played Star Wars Battlefront for a couple of days without any problem and suddenly for the last 2 days it's impossible. We see PC complains about this, XBOX complains, I CAN play other games online and ridiculously I can play other EA games online. BUT for EA the problem, still, is mine and from my ISP. Worse, being answered by a Brazilian employee... Nothing against in principle, but I also have worked in a call center and unfortunately they aren't known for very smart or diligent with their work. Everyone keeps saying it's all the same portuguese language... NO!! It isn't and that's why there's English US and English UK and English AU AND Portuguese BR and Portuguese PT. I HAD ENOUGH for constantly being confronted with games and programs translated to (they say Portuguese) when actually it's Portuguese-Brazilian. Even the dumb employee couldn't understand what I was saying and worse, didn't believe the information I was giving to her when I told her that I couldn't attach any file to my tickets since 1, I couldn't enter into any ticket, and no option to attach a file was given (finally I talked to another employee that said the "bug" on the help.ea.com site was already been reported). I had to deliver the file through Dropbox instead. Finally I manage to do some UOtrace tests on another game services and the tests went JUST LIKE the one on easo.ea.com but the difference is I can play those other games. SO EA... No! It's not my problem or my ISP. IT'S YOUR PROBLEM EA. Like it was the FAIL on Simcity Launch servers. Like are the problems of bad connections on XBOX players, like it is on Fifa servers etc etc. I'm asking for a refund and I will NEVER buy a game from you again. Goodbye!"
I have 100Mb fiber at home and NEVER had a single problem with a game besides Star Wars Battlefront and Simcity servers on the launch. I play other games online EVEN other EA games. SO YES it's a EA STAR WARS Battlefront problem!
Exact same situation here. Love the game, content is great. It's just I can't find any games to play such content, every server is empty.
My connection is fantastic, every other game works online, download and upload speed are good on tests, but everytime i play battlefront, I can only find servers on blast or walker assault.
