Re: Pre-ordered Battlefront via Walmart, and no code for early access to Jakku.

Finally got off the phone with a supervisor at Walmart.  She said she has to escalate the issue, and will check on it daily to find a solution, and will let me know ASAP.  As soon as I find something out I'll let you guys know, too.

Usually when businesses mess up they give you a cool freebie to keep your business ... too much to hope for?

    @tarenhowes At this stage you may want to reach out to EA Support. Since you should be able to prove that you pre-ordered, they should be able to provide you with a code, which should at least be faster than the alternative. 


    However as firefly notes there may be some support delays on this end as this is generating a lot of contacts.

    I can't think this is actually true.

  • Let me also mention that this was after I sent them the requested screenshots proving I had the pre-order and that no I had not already claimed it and was just trying to scam them.  Strange how "some technical reasons" cropped up only after they told me that if I submitted these screen shots they could in fact get me the code.

    @tarenhowes That is a bit odd frankly, but I don't think there's dishonesty on the part of the agent. It would be far easier to grant the code than deny you at this point. 

    I did a little bit of digging on this and it appears that your posting/contact account is different from the one associated with your Battlefront account. Perhaps this is a factor?

    Since this is something we don't want to discuss in the open, can you check your PMs for a message from me? I'd like to look into why you weren't able to get assistance with this.

    EDIT: I did a bit more investigation and it appears that there is a technical issue with the codes in question, sorry. I'll monitor the situation and give any updates as they become available.
