Re: Star Wars Battlefront won't launch because of incompatible Nvidia driver

It just doesn't make much difference what driver a very low end GPU such as yours is using; the game cannot run correctly on that level of sub-minimum hardware.  Look at the link.

Star Wars Battlefront

Minimum PC System Requirements

OS: 64-bit Windows 7 or later (Win 7 should have SP 1)

Hard Drive: At least 40 GB of free space

Graphics card (ATI): ATI Radeon HD 7850 2GB

Why don't you download the nvidia driver and test by yourself? You have nothing to loose!

Because my computer's warranty has long expired and I don't want to update the driver beyond what the GeForce app states as already being up to date, lest I risk frying up the graphics card. Alot on the forums complained that the update caused black screens or unable to play any other games on their computers, resulting in rollbacks or replacing the graphics card entirely. That's why I'm asking first just to be safe, so I do have something to lose.

If you already have the answer, why are you asking us? Why don't you search nvidia drivers by yourself? You will see, by yourself, if it is or if it is not compatible.

EDIT: Besides, I had never heard about a self-destructive driver provided by own manufacturers.
