Update 2, 29/03/2023:
We've now completed the scheduled maintenance. As a result of the progression issue that was recently discovered, we've now reset your account progress back to March 15th. This will return all previously unlocked items so you can continue playing where you previously left off.

  • @EA_Leeuw Given that this game is 8 years old and with all these issues, I'd agree with others that bringing all players to top rank and auto unlocking all weapons/star cards would be a generous way of EA apologising for all these issues. I'd suspect player count would go up as well.
  • This I can't agree more...I wish my progress can be restored to what it is now so as the other players progress is... @EA_Leeuw hope you can prioritize this issue & restore all player's progress if possible & also make it quick otherwise this game will be completely dead & no one will be playing the game after this

  • All they really need to do at this point is fix the store credit ‘purchase failed’ issue. Even if you have to redo the Hutt Contracts, at least the game would still be playable.

    We've put out a Twitter statement regarding the situation here as well, which you can also follow for additional updates.

    We'll continue to update this thread as well once we have more information, but things are continuing to progress. Thanks again for the continued patience while we're working to address this!

    @RighteousThunderI personally disagree, if we don’t get our progress back I think that’s going to retire a lot of the OG’s who keep the lobbies up. Fixing store issues is fine as well, but I doubt we’ll get to keep progress earned after this “incident” anyways since they probably have to pick a date to reset progress to.

  • @EA_Mako Please add all of the Walker Assault (Bespin and the palm tree one) maps into the regular rotation while you’re working on it. Thanks!
  • @Caberaham I completely understand. I don't know why EA hasn't fixed it yet, but I figured a store fix would be really simple. I would love to have progress restored, but as I started playing this game this year because I got bored of BF2, I didn't lose as much progress as those who played a lot longer. I am really competitive, and having to go up against guys with double heal, bodyguard, and sometimes modded EE-4 is really hard when I have no good guns or cards. 

  • @itch88 I disagree. I understand why some would like everything to be unlocked, but I love grinding for the different contracts or skins. If they just gave everyone rank 100, it immediately takes away the value of getting there. The joy in the prize is the journey getting there. If you didn't work for it you won't appreciate it as much.

  • @itch88Nah that takes the fun out of it. Just give us back what we had and let us buy stuff again. That would be cool with me 🙂

    (Maybe fix base command as well?)

  • @Caberaham It would be awesome if they fixed the base command app. Do you think that the web version would be the better one to fix as phones get updates and the apps then need ones as well?

    @RighteousThunder Yeah I do. Although they originally said they were going to discontinue the website and keep the apps up for the foreseeable future. Apps ran into problems almost immediately and never received fixes and since the website was removed there was no way to play anymore.
  • @Caberaham Not to get too off topic but there’s actually still a version of the website up: https://api.battlefront.dice.se but it only fully works if your account was created before late 2021. (Same date where anything earned before it was safe from the progress reset which is interesting.)

    Ever since the reset, the challenges have been working a lot better for me. Before, if I left a match without finishing the challenge, it would reset the whole thing. But know, it keeps challenge progress. Anyone else had this happen?

  • Imagine waiting 2 weeks for an official announcement that doesnt announce anything new. GG, keep your hard work up (while i keep paying my subscription for nothing.)
