@archies333 Hey, can I check if you've tried the restart? Has there been any system updates for your phone? Can I ask your approximate region?
@Dredge89 Do you still see the issue today? I'd like to know your region too, in case this is a factor.
Thanks. - Anonymous9 years agoI've restarted, uninstalled and reinstalled and it still gets frozen on checking for updates screen. I'm in Nevada. Android note 5 and no recent updates.
Here have same issue from 2 days. Using Huawei P9 Lite. I'm from Poland and there was no phone update in last time. After EMUI update swgoh was working fine

Thank you for the extra info. Can you make sure you've tried the other steps mentioned in the thread and if it persists,try the steps below.
1. Turn of phone WiFi
2. Force stopped Google App. Force stopped Google Play App. (Goto your settings>apps). Cleared the cache for both apps. Cleared the cache for the Star Wars game.
3. Restarted Router (just to make sure)
4. Turn WiFi back on. Click on Google Play to make sure it works. Click on Google app & test "Okay google" function to make sure that's also working. (both worked fine for me after stopping the services & clearing cache)
5. Load Star Wars & it should work on WiFi now.

Don't know why but i got some error with my SD card so i changed the direction of installed app to phone storage and that fixed the problem. And works even faster than before :P

Hi David,
I am in Australia, and the issue resolved itself 2-3 days after and now has been working without an issue

I am having the same problem as the above, it started yesterday evening (22/11/2017) and am still having the same issue today.
I am using an iPhone 5S so the fixes you have provided so far do not apply.
Can you help me please.

- Anonymous8 years agoI'm having this same problem for several days. I live in Finland, I use Nokia 3 with latest android updates. Moving the game files from SD card to my phone did nothing.

Hi all,
For those of you who are still encountering this issue, please try the below steps. After each step, please retry loading into the game. Please let us know which set of steps worked for you.
Android:
1. Clear App Cache and Data
2. If you are using Mobile Data, switch to Wi-Fi
3. If the game is running in the background already, exit the game.
4. Restart your device
5. If the above fail, please reinstall the game using Wi-Fi
iOS:
1. If you are using Mobile Data, switch to Wi-Fi
2. If the game is running in the background already, exit the game.
3. Restart the device
3. If the above fail, please reinstall the game using Wi-Fi

Hey everyone.
I'm having the exact same problems... I've restarted, unistalled and reinstalled but every time I try to open the game wants to update and says there is a problem with the connection! There isn't any problem with the connection since everything else works perfectly. I took a screenshot of the error message. I live in South Africa.. DarkPatty

tried on multiple wifi connections from different ISP, mobile data. I have tried the suggestions made in this thread, to include uninstall and reinstall multiple times.

I have had nothing but problems since the last update. I have only manages to be able to get the game to load 3 times in as many days. I use bluestacks to play this on PC, sometimes upon a new update I would have some small issues, but nothing like this. I load bluestacks and then SWGOH. The game attempts to load, but freezes on "Loading Cantina", or the Loading screen after it. I have now completely missed everything including the new Sith chars. I am not sure what the issue with the game is, but I have applied everything I know about making things work to not have any luck. I have uninstalled, reinstalled and everything under the sun including changing the processor usage to "Above Normal" for all bluestacks processes. Currently the client is teasing me with the March login rewards screen, but it is completely frozen.

I'm experiencing this problem, in Texas, I've tried the rest, restarting, un installing, disabling wifi force stop, all of it. Going on day 2 of being unable to open the app on my wifi
Hi.
I need your help for swgoh issue
I load the game but it doesnt load and didnt say Internet issue.means is nothing happen
I also try restart the game and remove cache but dudndi work
Surprised it works using wifi but not my internet data.
So any ideas?
- @zhsentinel Same connection issue here. It get stuck on "initializing game systems" for more than 24hrs now.
Cleared cache.... forced stop the game.. nothing happens.
Note that I'm using my dats, not wifi.
Anyone can help ? Same here. Nothing seems to work.
