SWBF2 (freeze then) crash to desktop with no note while playing

Hi. My Star Wars Battlefront II crashes to desktop with no notification or somthing, almost everytime when I am playing it. It begins freezing for 1 second everytime and then it crashes or sometimes it just crashes on the first freeze.

No it does not crash on startup and the game runs smooth.

I play the game on high settings with AA low and AO off.

I have tried so damn much to fix this issue, like almost everyting I could find on this subject. But still no succes...

These are my specs:

i7-6700K (Not overclocked or something)

RX Vega 56 from Gigabyte

16GB RAM

MSI B150 PC Mate

650Watt PSU from EVGA

SSD from Intel

HDD from WDBlue (the game runs on this disk)

So someone, please, help me. I love this game so much but I just can't play it. Ask me anything you want to know if you can help me with it.

This is the first moment i got time for this. I have been dumb all the time, my psu actually is 600watts while it should be over 650watts at least. So I ordered a nee psu with 850watts and so far I have been able to play the game on ultra settings with sometimes a freeze but then it resumes and i can continue playing.
I also check if my gpu is going to 100%. Yes sometimes there is a peak but thats all.
Sorry for this stupid mistake. I will let you know if the game still crashes in the future.

Hey, @Mawim0801 lets start with basic on what you can try, make sure that all drivers for windows and your gpu drivers are up to date.

You can also try to do a clean boot to see if there any programs messing with SWBF2 and turn off any overlay programs for example Discord or Nvidia experience.

Hi, thanks for the answer.
I updated Windows and updates my GPU driver (Which was AMD Adrenaline).
I did a clean boot.
But unfortunately, he game still crashes when I am in a match...

Do you notice if any hardware is spiking to 100% while playing SWBF2? Run Task manger at the same time and do you notice any 100% spikes or something odd before crash?

I have the same problem，When I run the game, my graphics card is always at 100% spikes，my GPU is rx 580

Hello @EA_Atic I have the same problem. The game crashes anytime, anywhere. It crashes during the first loading screen, in the main menu or before I can play, the game does not let me actually even start a match. It always crashes to desktop without any errors. I've been talking with EA Support for 4 days Non-Stop trying to find a solution for this, however nothing has worked. I've already tried all the troubleshooting methods EA Support has given me such as :

Clearing Origin Cache
Cleaning Registry Cache and Temp Files
Flushing DNS Cache
Disabling Firewall and Antivirus
Reseting Host FIle
Reseting Internet Explorer Settings
Performing a Clean Boot
Clearing Browser's Cache
Running Origin and the game as Administrator
Changing DX12 value from 1 to 0 and from 0 to 1
Turning off Cloud Save
Creating a new Windows 10 admin account
Getting more space on the drive

As you can see I've done A LOT of troubleshooting methods, all of them failed to correct the game into a functioning state.
My CPU reaches barely 35% and barely scratches my GPU.
I've been given a specialist that told me to re-install the game into the default C drive, I've done that.
It still crashes though.
I'll attach my Dxdiag and msinfo file If you want to try and take a look at it. So far though... Iam losing hope.
It's funny to think my PC can handle games such as Resident Evil 2 on High preset on stable 80 FPS without crashing, but can't handle SW Battlefront 2.

Hey, thanks for the massive load of information on what you have done and the information. @Fishsto

Looking at the msinfo (Did remove it), you can see two types of crashes on it one with dbdata.dll and an ntdll.dll for SWBF2.

ntdll.dll. is connected to your Nvidia drivers and normally needs a clean reinstall of drivers and any software that is connected.

dbdata.dll is new for me, but allow that file in the firewall and anti virus you have and see if that changes anything.

Hello again, thank you for replying to this topic @EA_Atic.

The last specialist has told me about the dbdata.dll file before, however he didn't mention ntdll.dll.

I've seen many posts about this troubleshooting method where I reinstall the drivers.

Could you help me with that so I can perform that method and try to resolve this issue ?

Also worth a note on dbdata.dll, try deleting it under settings and then run repair on SWBF2 in Origin.
