Ranking all SABER heroes from worst to best!

I am going to be ranking al saber heroes from worst to best here, going into detail about each hero.

10. Rey

Oh, poor old Rey. At this point, there just wasn't another option for dead last. Let's start off with what is good about Rey. In trooper modes, she is strong, probably a spot or 2 higher. Her insight gives her wall hacks and double stamina which is brilliant in trooper game modes, her card that gives her 3 dodges means that she can dodge out of most situations with ease. Her stamina regen is also the fastest in the entire game. But her dash strike can be parried, without insight her overall stamina and health regen is just average, her saber damage is very low and her swing speed is just average, so every villian but Maul can out-damage her. I just couldn't justify putting her above anyone else.

9. Maul

Maul comes in next and honestly, he's not bad, but the competition is just so string at this point that he comes in 9th place. He has a great saber throw which can tear through troops like it's nothing and even break a hero's block on the way back. His choke hold is great for throwing enemies away if he needs some quiet time, particularly with the extra knockback card. His spin attack allows him to quickly run away out of sticky situations. His saber damage is very poor and his swing speed suffers a little as well, but they certainy get the job done when almost no-one on the enemy team can touch you. Although, if you come up against a good Luke or Obi-Wan, you aren't really going to be able to hold your own without some masterclass strategy techniques.

8. Yoda

Yoda is in P8 and what's so great about him is his very smal hitbox which makes him very hard for enemies to hit in trooper modes. That's why he is well above P8 for trooper modes, but in perhaps P12 or so for hero modes- he's not great because parrying is almost impossible with him because of how slow his swing speed is. His lightsaber damage isn't that great either, and while his stamina is pretty good, his dashes only deal 80 damage. Unleash is too short-range compared to Luke's force push so a downside there. Presence is a useful tool for sure, but give me Finn's Big Deal over presence any day of the week.

7. Dooku

Dooku is abslutely great for hero modes. He's almost able to keep up with Darth Vader in this regard, and he has more dodges than Vader, much higher lightsaber damage with the right setup and much higher stamina. However, in trooper modes, he is weak and very short range, unable to hit troopers from any kind of distance past about 10m. This really hinders him in galactic assault and capital supremacy. Regardless, he's great in hero modes. His 3 dodges are solid, his swing speed is really fast even without duelist, his lightsabae damage can be the highest in the entire game, and overall he's so fun to use.

6. Anakin

Coming in P6 is Anakin, who is a hero that is still good, but not nearly the god that he once was. What can I say, he is good in trooper modes, similar to Rey and Yoda. All 3 of his main abilities can 1-shot troopers with the right setup, he can sometimes even 1-hit reinforcements with passionate strike when they're even just a little bit weakened, or he can weaken them up, do 1 swing and they're dead. He can 1-shot troopers but... ahhh, ahhh, ahhh. We have problems here.

What really holds Anakin back in HVV and HS compared to his launch self and everyone else is his saber DPS. His massive strikes star card used to give him 25 extra damage from 140, making 165. Then it got cut to 20 and 130 base damage. Still 150. But then they give him a 25% stamina reduction with it on. And his stamina without it is quite decent for attacking and blaster blocking, but poor for saber blocking, and even worse, blocking only 8 swings before he runs out with the card on. Now 150 damage is a lot, but DICE decided to take that card overly into account and make his swing very very slow to overcompensate. He sometimes swings about 0.2 swings/s slower than most other saber heroes, not counting Yoda because he's just in an entirely different category of sluggishness. Anakin is now a middle-of-the-pack saber hero despite being one of the best overall back in 2019.

5. Grievous

Grievous is similar to Anakin in that his swing speed is very very slow, but he wrecks in HVV. 190 damage from the back- 2 swings and someone is heavily damaged. Hits like a truck. He, unlike Anakin, can use unrelenting advance to mitigate his terrible blocking stamina. Thrust surge locks on like a missile, claw rush allows him to escape sticky situations and not much more can be said. Anakin but a bit better in every possible way, is the best way to describe Grievous.

4. Kylo Ren

Kylo Ren is a very strong villian, he has ok damage and swing speed, but he really excels with star cards. Going with a full lightsaber damage build makes him wreck you in terms of raw damage (unless you're Luke, who is a great counter to Kylo). His frenzy is amazing, pull and freeze are great abilities, and he's a brilliant villian to use overall no matter the mode. Hitting from the back is super rewarding, he hits hard from behind. He also has a ton of stamina making that much less of a worry than with other heroes.

3. Obi-Wan Kenobi

Obi-Wan really doesn't have any weaknesses. He's one of the only saber heroes without a weakness. Part of why he ranks so high is people's playstyles these days. His stamina is obscene, and considering some of the spamming seems like people are channeling their inner sith lords, parrying someone to death is easier with him then with almost anyone else, as his swing speed is pretty fast. Regardless, he's great.

2. Darth Vader

Vader is brilliant. I mean, it's pretty hard to beat the choke + air attack + throw + ground attack combo in HVV, and his swing speed and damage are both very, very strong. However, Vader is quite reliant on his abilities. You'll spend a lot of time running away when they're on cooldown. Now you're sat there saying: "I'm Vader. I can just block until my teammates come to help me." Alas, you're dreadfully wrong. Vader runs out of stamina so incredibly quicklywhen blocking just like Anakin (okay makes sense they're the same person) so be careful. Also bear in mind that his hitbox is massive and he isn't fast like Grievous. He's also vulnerable when jumping as he glides rather than falls.

1. Luke Skywalker

Luke is just a beast in HVV. I mean, he has the fastest swing speed in the entire game, high saber damage with intensify, is maneuverable and has a strong set of abilities built to wreck you- and wreck you fast. He has great lunge tracking too, stamina isn't great but isn't as bad as Anakin or Vader, plus he has jedi fighter to improve his stamina by 35%. The best in HVV, top 4 for GA and CS, because of 200 heath regen, but still great nonetheless.

What do you think? Let me know down below!

  • Just naming few things here, it'd be too much of an essay (lol the irony, didn't went as planned) to rate every single ranking from you:

Personally I rank Yoda to the very bottom in HvH just because of the fact that his block can be easily broken by just saber spamming it.

In infantry modes however he's easily one of the best for survivability and danymic gameplay experience as all his ailities are good for that, just hope that when meeting an enemy hero player he doesn't have much experience in HvH combat so I can outplay him.

Once someone spams at me I basically have no other choice than to immediately try to parry, allowing them to just hit my block is not an option.

I'd rank Dooku to the lowest of all because, let's be honest, he's no option in any infantry mode and in HvH it's just extremely predictable what he's going to pull off.

Like if Dooku uses his expose weakness or activates duelists, it tells me exactly what's going on and for how long, giving me more than enough time to react ... which can mean to just wait it out until the abilities wear off. I mean only his flash bolt can catch me by surprise, anything else allows me to prepare for it.

As Dooku I basically need someone impatient who thinks it's a good idea to spam on me while duelist is active etc.

I'd place Luke lower because his dashes can be parried and especially the middle ability has a big animation window, making him very, very vulnerable to enemy attacks. The push often just works against you because opponents are too far away then for following up attack.

Most Luke players are no problem for me because of this. Only his swing speed as well as his dmg increase over time is not to be underestimated.

For Anakin I started using the stamina increase card and it improves the HvH gameplay quite well if I just manage to stay alive.

For infantry mode I just dislike that he's basically dependant from his magnet ability and you basically have to wait until it refreshes before seriously thinking about engaging in combat again. His other two abilities alone are mostly crap when trying to attack anyone. Makes his anti-infantry gameplay very undynamic compared to Yoda who doesn't need to stop rushing.

I heavily disagree with your spot on Rey, she's easily one of my favourites and allows me to conveniently end up on top of the leaderboard so many times.

Her base dmg is low maybe, but you need to look at the whole picture.

First, her dash strike... can't be parried if you're just clever and try to flank people like Grievous, right?! Upon hitting people (+ dash strike dmg card), they don't get pushed far away, allowing you to immediatley add follow-up strikes, allowing one to quickly kill or severely weaken enemy heroes.

Also you seriously underestimate her insight ability. Her best star card is basically the one that increases the ability duration, the cooldown of the ability is rather short too.

Not only does it give her the best stamina you could probably have in the game, it also adds 10 points saber dmg, so she can do just the same amount of damage as Obi-Wan and Vader per strike. So her lower base dmg is pretty much neglectable. Also there's the card that increases her dmg furthermore upon using mind trick.

What's even more important in infantry modes is that trying flank people as hero is finally something that isn't deemed to fail due to the crappy casual minimap mechanics because it gives Rey stealth. It can be very enjoyable to not get ganked by all rocket troopers of the enemy team at once while trying to operate behind their lines or just anywhere on the map.

Works fine for HvH as well, Iden can't just stun you if you simply attack her from behind (additional dmg!). Also for other saber heroes. Unless they hear the footsteps or a silly "I don't like you Kylo/Phasma..." plays all of a sudden there's no way for them to tell in advance.

As someone who loves lonewolfing and flanking in other fps games too, this is really welcome. It's funny when people are getting toxic when I'm doing this because they basically expect me to play Rey just like upfront tank Vader.

Guess which one is my favourite soldier class.

  • Vader should be number 1 in my opinion, ridiculously high health, damage and decent stamina. Luke is good I guess but his middle ability leaves him completely open and dash strike can be parried whereas none of Vader’s abilities leave him vulnerable. I also think maul and Rey should be higher and maybe dooku and yoda lower.
  • @AnakinVader34 I do not have a rank of heroes as such but I have some discrepancies, I think Anakin is still the best on the light side for his combo, secondly Luke for his speed and strength, for me the best The hero is Darth Vader, he has great resistance, both to attack and to defend, he has great strength, all that can be enhanced with an ability and not necessarily with cards, he has a An attack that is distance and causes moderate damage, and its choke is very strong, in addition to immobilizing you, it hurts you and can be chained with any attack, the guy is basically Immortal, I would put the king in a higher place, he has the power factor and has a knockdown works similar to Dooku (even better)
