Nope. I am using avast, if it's relevant at all.

Totalav is currently causing 0% with streaming and an error 310 with nonstreaming see this link
now the play button not will not light up until patching check has completed, and any antivirus/firewall can cause issues
avast firewall has been known to block swtor over the years but whether it is the cause of your current issue not sure at present, but it is a good place to start.
- @proxos666 I have added launcher.exe to my avast exceptions a while back, and now removed and re-added it again just in case, but it does not seem to have any effect on anything whatsoever.

Likely an easy way to check it isnt an internet issue is to tether that computer to say your mobile phone and use the GSM network to login and see how the launcher behaves
also if you are now using non streaming SSN you can take that computer to a full clean boot per this link and see how the launcher behaves, also at this point ensure the launcher is starting with administrator rights
- @proxos666 Thanks for the tips, I'll try those out in a few hours once I have time. Hopefully I can figure something out. I'll post an update here once I have tested that.
P. S. You're a real hero, helping out people here like this. Thank you very much again! - @proxos666 All right, so it actually looks like it may be an internet connection issue. Because I tried it with my phone as hotspot and it went (almost) immediately (like within a minute and half).
And in retrospect, I got a new internet provider recently, and all the problems can kind of be traced back then.
But it seems to be the problem only with my computer, since we have another one in the house (connected to the same network, obvs) and there's been no such problems with that one.
Any generic advice of what could be done about it? (Right now, my temporary solution may be to hook my computer into my mobile every time I want to log in, then switch it to the network for actual playing, but wouldn't like to do that every time, plus I have to yet see how it would work when some patch comes up...) - proxos6666 years agoHero+
See if changing dns servers has an impact try using say 8.8.8.8
