Re: BattleFront 2 got hacked

Report them, again and again, if you have to. EA investigates the reports, despite what some others say.

I don't work for EA/DICE, so I can't do any work on my end. Hence, my recommendation to send reports to the people who can.

The state of the game is absolutely ridiculous. Shame on EA for not adressing the issue after hundreds of complaint.

@DarthFDG as i said you cant report them because there is no name with the gold chat. so who are you to report then? thats why we come here because the report system wants a name. no name to report becasue there is no name at the beginning of the gold chat for a name to report. so are we to report the whole lobby? so that means. you should bring this to the attention of some that can do something.

@DarthFDG Wouldn't it be easier the EA-Servers to be fixed by EA, i.e., to be patched NOT to be easily hackable by script-kids through execution of a simple script?

@DarthFDG I have been reporting players to EA who deploy the BLIX hack, in fact I have reported 3 different individuals, one of them several times over the course of 2-3 weeks. Reporting the players is simply a band aid because the problem isn't that players ARE using the BLIX hack, or even that they CAN use the BLIX hack. The problem is EA passing it off as simply a 'bug' as they did with the 1HP and the recent hack blocking players hero's and ranks (this happened again a week after EA claimed it was a bug resulting from a failed May the 4th event). These hacks of the lobby, and the hacks of players abilities, will end when EA takes this issue seriously instead of gaslighting the player base.

@DarthFDG I have been reporting hackers, I've reported this player and he is still playing. Is EA taking this issue seriously or not?

  • @DarthFDG   Please enlighten us on how to file a report when you don't know who to report.  Every method that I see requires a username of someone to report.  These hackers are not identifiable players in the game.  They are using the admin console to end games.  EA seems to make this type of thing difficult to report on purpose.  We have been experiencing this for years with this game.  There is little anyone can say to convince me that EA does anything unless the complaints become so large that it ends up in the media, like the 1HP hack a couple years back.  That fix was eventually achieved by a very large forum thread and reports to media outlets.  EA tried to end that by "accidentally" deleting that thread.  EA is despicable.

@drunknutit's difficult to find the player sometimes, but it can be done. I find it usually takes a few maps to sus out the guy. He jumps in, activates the BLIX, then leaves immediately. His level is usually 1 because he isn't there to earn anything, just f up the lobby. So you need a screen shot of the player lobby before and after it happens to figure out who (he'll be on the bottom of the lobby because he just came in and left). This is far easier to do if you are recording, which I do when he starts BLIXing. You get a few vids and its easier to pick him out and report him because the common denominator is a player who leaves right awayf. I usually tell the lobby who the player is and to report him, but as you say, its difficult to tell if EA is doing anything about it or even cares.

@NerfHerder40I used your method many months before. I spend my life time to identify the nick of the low-level hacker base on ~25 rounds of data (screenshot). Whenever he/she appeared, the blix-hack happened. He/she jumped from server to server hours long and activated the blix hack. He/she took this hack issue serious, like a job or a service!

I first reported his/her nick in cheater/hacker form formally (more than 10 times). EA did not block his/her account. He/she was around many months and hacked EA's Europe Servers.

Then, I shared the cheater's nick in this forum. EA removed my message, lol! And I got a warning.

Thanks god he/she was bored and gave up. Do not spend your life time for such a non-sense like identifying the cheater's nick. You will not be appreciated.

@666_Nirvana_666I run into these guys/ladies in SA, so its a lot easier because there are fewer players, and if its a 1 player difference in lobby numbers it stands out like a sore thumb so I don't need to spend a lot of time to determine who it is and report them. I say this in the plural because I check the friends list to see who's aiding these D bags and the last three players I have reported have all had a different friends list/games list.  But one thing I have noticed is that they have certain times of day when they are active, I don't think its because they are bored of BLIXing they simply have to get back to class or go to dinner (like the 1HP was mostly on the German servers, I see these BLIXers mostly on the German servers). Hint Hint EA check that part of the player base, it will make the job easier. To be honest, I don't think they appreciate the reports anyway, they seem to want to do as little as possible until they have to do anything, so I suspect they would appreciate it if I simply stopped.

  • There have been 1000s of reports. And it doesn't show their name when they use the hack so there is no name to report. EA could fix this if they wanted to but they don't care. Its so bad now that it looks like EA wants this game to die so they can shut down the servers. They could fix this if they cared even a little bit.

i dont know how you guys can say this is solved the fake admin accounts are still here a long with the phase skip hack(BLIXS) as the player base calls it. you cant report the gold chat because there is no name that you can use because that name cant be found in the EA app. so your way of report dose us no good. thats why we come here to voice this hack.

This shouldn't be marked as a solution. Even if we could report, nothing would happen because its easy to acquire a new account. Don't comment useless advice.
