Sims 4 stuck on finalizing after download

So after 3 hours of downloading, the Sims 4 is now “finalising”, but has been stuck on that for the last hour. It seems to me it’s frozen. Origin won’t  let me quit origin because the sims is in the middle of downloading. This means I can’t restart my computer.  I’m using a MacBook Pro. Any ideas on how to fix this?! I’ve tried a few ideas I’ve seen on other forums but I haven’t gotten very far, I think they were mainly for PC. Please help!
