Well, it depends, where you installed it, I left it on default, so it is in file named "Origin games". So if you didn't change target of instalation...
But that doesn't mean, that it can't be somewhere else, I'm not genius. :D
However, I still have the same problem like you and I just really hope, that someone will finally bring some solution... - crinrict11 years agoHero+
There should be an EA Games folder where it's in but you might be having this issue: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-2/SOLUTION-No-Neighborhoods-to-pick-from/td-p/3156388/

Well, the problem is, that for me, the game even won't start, no matter, what I do... No loading screen, simply nothing. Ten seconds in task manager and then it's gone like I haven't started it at all. Every other program works just fine, so it won't be malware thing.
And I've got no TM in name anyway... Locale shouldn't matter, I mean, on our home computer (for kids) everything works absolutely fine and we have the same one...

My answer was directed to OP who does not have the folder.
It's a bit hard to help if everyone posts in 10 different threads. All very chaotic here 😉
Could you post this info:
- Click on Start and then type the following into the search prompt at the bottom: perfmon /rel
- Press Enter to proceed.
- A window will open and in there you can click on the red circles with a white X.
- After clicking the X, the info on the bottom will update. Choose the Sims 2 Critical Event one and right click on it and choose "View Technical Details"
- Now on the next window, choose Copy to clipboard at the very bottom and post this into a reply to us here.

Další informace 3: e20e

If it just means, that my computer can't handle it, I guess, I'll have to live with it 😃 but I read on forums, that more people have the same problem... - crinrict11 years agoHero+
No, probably not your computer. Many users have this issue. That stupid Paul.dll (which is part of SecuRom) seems to cause a conflict on certain systems. I don't know why.
Do you maybe have any downlaod versions of Sims 3 or Sims Medevial ?
- Anonymous11 years ago
No, I don't have any version of Sims3 or Medieval...
Maybe I still have Sims1 - 8 in 1 somewhere in computer, that's all, I had to download it (can't recall where), because half of my old CDs don't work anymore and I was nostalgic. :D
So for now nothing we can do about it?
- crinrict11 years agoHero+
I honestly don't know atm. I'm unsure what version of paul.dll works and if you can just download one somewhere (usually don't recommend that). Unfortunately it's the weekend too.
I'm still trying to figure this one out but I see the paul.dll error on almost every report and someone did have luck with just replacing it with another version.
SecuRom wasn't introduced until Sims 2 so you won't find it on SIms 1. I do think it's on some of the Sims 2 discs but I don't know which ones. I'll be making a thread now to gather some info
- Anonymous11 years agoThere is no X with "The Sims 2 Critical Response" for me. Also, i still cant find anything in my folder that has to do with TS2... I did the locale thing and it was already English/United States... I still need a lot of help so i can actually play the game :/
- Anonymous11 years agoActually i do have a download version of TS3. But i dont want to get rid of it if thats what i have to do. I dunno why it works on both my friends computers and not mine.
- Anonymous11 years ago
Ok, thanks a lot for your patience and the fact, that you're trying to solve this! 🙂
I hope, that something would work in the end. 🙂
- Anonymous11 years agoI still need help. I just tried going on the Origin client and playing it from there which still didn't work.

you need to open regedit (Window+R) and open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE then SOFTWARE
For 32 - Bit : Find EA GAMES folder and open the sims 2... change the Display Name... Delete the ™ out... and the problem is solved...
For 64- Bit : Open Wow6432Node then.. Find EA GAMES folder and open the sims 2... change the Display Name... Delete the ™ out... and the problem is solved...
Before it's should look like this : The Sims 2™ Ultimate Collection
After : The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection - Anonymous11 years agoMine never had a "tm" to begin with
- crinrict11 years agoHero+
I thought your folder in documents never got created ? Confused.
- Anonymous11 years ago
i found it in Program Files/Origin Games.
- crinrict11 years agoHero+
No, that's the installation folder, not your doc folder. The doc folder should be im documents\eagames
- Anonymous11 years ago
I don't have TS2 in any other folders. I have My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims
- crinrict11 years agoHero+
The sims or thesims 3 ?
Try removing that PM as described and see if you then get a folder in doc for the ultimate collection when you try to start the game. - Anonymous11 years ago
1) The Sims 3 sorry i didnt add that in....
2) im not very experienced with going in folders and program info so.. umm.... what is a PM?
