@Ellupelluellu I couldn't imagine playing with another family. Love all your family pics. And the doggies are adorable.
@SheriGR it does seem our playing styles are very similar. With only 8 household slots I'm always moving sims in and out of the main household when I want to focus on a particular sim.
It’s still the Reeds for me. I play them since 2018 in different parallel universes.
Originally there was Daniel Phillips, a character from a different videogame, whom the player cannot save there. I wanted to give him the best possible life in Sims 4, but had not specific plans whom to pair him with. Well, Daniel chose the detective Gavin Reed, and was very adamant about that. (I swear they recognize each other in every new save.)
Despite everyone having an occult life state, and my story often involving them in world politics, at the core Daniel and Gavin are a stereotypical couple of homemaker and career focused partner. Since both partners work (Daniel teaches from home, Gavin maxed the detective career), they are well set money-wise and can enjoy life to the fullest (whenever I let them). Financial security has also softened them a bit. Admittedly Daniel is a hot-head and Gavin’s goofish nature can cross into bullying way too easily, so I need to keep a close eye on them in conversations.
Since I play them so long now, I’ve grown attached to the Reeds like one would to co-workers or next-door neighbors. When Gavin needed glasses, for example, that was a major emotional event. In the main save they won’t ever die.
Household 1 consists of Daniel, Gavin, Daniel’s daughter by alien abduction, Peggy, and their adopted son, Hendrik, the neglected son of the previous Chief of Police. They also have two cats (Argus and Stopthat) a horse (Plum) and a fishtank. It's mainly Daniel, who brings the animals, Gavin would have been satisfied with Argus.
Household 2 consists of Gavin’s parents, the redeemed ex-criminals Jim and Dorothy Reed, whom I added later. With them lives officer Tina Chen, Gavin’s BFF/former alibi-girlfriend, who is also Daniel’s Fated Mate. It sounds like a recipe for trouble, but those three are really close-knit. And finally there's Tina’s and Gavin’s teenaged son, Jin Reed-Chen, a future marine biologist.
The Reeds are connected to many other families in that save, and in some cases the line between friends/neighbors/co-workers and family blurs. They’re all one big pile of trouble!
The Reeds family are great sims @EnkiSchmidt 🙂 It is very nice to read about their background details. Peggy and Hendrik are cute! We do become attached to our sims households, and all that is happening in their lives.
Here are some better images with their households and the rest of Vitalia's children plus her brother Nico who is married to Ora, pictured with their adorable little jungle rescue dogs 😢. Vitalia's dad Hugo is a famous screenwriter and I use Google translate to write Spanish titles for his screenplays, I imagine him as pining for his South American homeland and writing about his childhood. Her teen sister Malin is snarky about family tradition and heritage and will be aged up and go to University (I make Briny Tower into a flashy penthouse for her). There's also the Soldado matriarch Marlene who is the heart of the family and always has the doors open and food on the table. And Hugo's younger sister Illiani is living with them for now but she gets a castle on the big lot on the Crumbling Isle in Windenburg when I get around to it. I've only got about a dozen more of their households to add back into the game. Luckily they are a labour of love for me!
It lovely seeing the pictures of your sims families and reading about their lives @simsplayer818 🙂 The dogs are cute! I hope that Malin enjoys living going to University and living in her penthouse.
