Re: Sim trading thread - Find a partner for your Sims

@MayaRose1138 I had that problem last week but then the toddler and then child had events so by the time she became an adult she had 3 stars.  ☺

One of my sims will only have two stars - he didn't get the toddler event (by the time I fetched his father yesterday, he had a birthday cake) and after completing the child event today, he has the birthday cake to become an adult.  His younger brother missed the toddler event too as he had the birthday cake before I had finished the event with his older brother.  Hopefully he can get an event tomorrow before aging up!

@mrdoggie94, after a lot of thinking and looking at my sims for the next generation, I've decided not to marry anyone in in this generation.  Thanks for the offer of Lillian but I'll have to pass this time.

@Finealta, Isla has two grandsons - Justice, with red hair, and Jett, with pink hair.  They're both children if you want to check them out 🙂.

I have a female sim who I’m willing to part with. Any takers? Not sure of any or all info you’ll need, but I have attached some info about her. Name is EMILY GRACE

@BWilliams83 don't give your sim any more traits if you want to pass your sim off. Most people who trade only want a sim with one trait.  Two triats might be ok. When you pass a sim to another player , that sim won't keep their job or hobby but will keep their traits. The more traits you give the  the sim, the closer sim  is to retirement . If the sim gets to close to retirement you won't be able to pass the sim off to another player.

Do they now retire automatically? Or there's a pop up message like usual?

Unfortunately, I accidentally give my heirs their last traits...

Maya, there's a limit of 3 family events daily. If my sim has only 2-star Good Upbringing trait, I kick them off to the NPC Land.

    Maybe next generation...

@mrdoggie94 people who usually trade want a sim with only the one trait when you promote them. Many don't want to trade sims with even 3 traits.

If your sims have all 4 traits you can't pass them off to another player. Once you give them the last trait it takes like 4 days to get the retirement notice. You would just retire them when your ready to retire them . You can ignore the retirement notice for as long as you want

Ah, well that explains things, since I had a retired person in the house too.  Only got one toddler now, so he should be right.

I have had four boys in a row, which makes 5 boys and one girl for this generation!  I think that's the most boy-heavy generation I've had so far.

Maya, me too. Most of the children born to my heirs have been boys. There are some girls but they're not children of the designated heir.

    @SaphireandSteel

Inform me when you're ready to start your relationship with my sim Cillian :-)

  • Hi @mrdoggie94 Ii got to level 2 between my sim and Cillian before party crashed and once again the relationship was lost and despite setting up friendship, flirty option of course, the contact was again lost. I have a bit of a bug with retirements and have been hit by the party bug in that not everyone’s parties are showing up for me since update. I’ve just been reading the post on the bug with moving out sims and relationships. I’m beginning to wonder about retiring all my sims on mass next week and starting my family tree from scratch to see if this helps in any way. Sorry but my friends  sims don’t even show up on my plot just new people I meet at parties or when I first add to friends list so without a successful party not sure how trading sims is workable if they keep disappearing from my sims contacts despite the fact their speech bubble is still raving about their new friend. I’ll have to say no thanks for now, sincere apologies but EA really need to fix these bugs and get the game back on track. I never had retirement or relationship problems when I was retiring my sims about every third week maybe a red herring but why do I keep loosing contacts from people at parties cause how else can you form a relationship and marry, move in unless it’s a random sim on your plot passing house or when at work etc that you can physically access in game. I used a different sim this time as well. Maybe I’m missing something but I don’t think relationships were meant to be this difficult to get off the ground.

Until they get these bugs fixed I am going stop moving in/out sims.  I will probably start marrying sims, but not asking them to move in.

@SaphireandSteel this happened to @PaQuilter1. They have a bug thread. I have only seen a few people have the issue where actual relationship stories won't work. Contacts sticking is a separate issue from relationship stories not working.

    I'm sad, because of glitches...

For me, the fun of this game is to share my sims with other simmers by moving them out. But glitches has made this close to impossible and ruin all the fun...

@mrdoggie94  That's what I did this week --- LOL   Lena Eddy & Mycroft's daughter Aliza married a townie.  His name is Damian Vela (Portuguese gentleman with hot pink hair).

  • So marry and have babies but don’t move them in?

I’m trying to figure out how to phrase the words to answer that one without offending the other half of the relationship!

    🌝 😱🤔 🤭 🤫 😲 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 😳

Yes, these glitches are ruining the social aspects of the he game.

Party Crashes, losing Contacts, inability to Chat at Parties etc

EA should have addressed  & worked on fixes. weeks/months ago.

Even this forum activity has slowed down IMO because of the frustration these glitches are causing
