Re: Computer won't read Sims 4 disk 1

Are you using a Mac bootcamp by any chance?

    My laptop is a HP. So no. I dont think so

    Try right-clicking on the disc Icon in Computer and then choose open.

    Find a file called setup.exe and double click on that.

    If that doesn't work, you could download it through Origin instead (without having to pay again) if that is an option. Simply redeem your code on Origin, download the client here: http://origin.com/download and find the game in myGames to download.

    My desktop is an hp Windows 7 and it doesn't read but when I go to wmp it says I can load datta on it I got the disk at value village and it worked the first time but only advisement
  • I'm on pc and when i insert disk 1 or 2, nothing pops up. i haven't used sims in awhile there for i cannot find the usermanual with the code. any help?

    Open Origin an login. Then you will find the game in Game Library ready to install / Play.

    Thanks @jpkarlsen. @amxlia2108 please give the advise jp shared a go. If you're still having trouble after, could you open a thread on it and add some more information to your post to include what steps you've tried also. I'll close this thread here to limit further necroposting in the meantime.
