I merged two threads now since they are similar enough (one user just having issues if the user is both in a career and after-school while it's only after-school for others.
I'm seeing this exact same situation as well. My sim's performance keeps going down because, I assume, the game thinks I'm intentionally skipping the activity.

Having the same problem. Except my teens parents were also at work and they all came home and all lost performance. This also happens if you save and exit your game when a sim is at work. When you load the game, the sim is at home and getting a call from their boss about performance.
@crinrict I'm having this problem too. PS5, up to date, no side job just highschool and the Computer Team.

I am experiencing this too, except I don't play with teens. My young adult sims are coming home from work exactly as you described when I save and exit with them at work. I made a bug report post on it just after I patched so I'm glad it's not just me.
Same here. I’m on ps5, sim is a teen at high school and gets sent home instead of going to football practice 🤷♀️
