You can move that, the game will make a new folder automatically. If you don't use any mods/CC it won't make any difference.

Same with the screenshots folder, that might have been a bit too full.

I'm still lagging some . I do have a big family and huge house so I'm not positive but maybe some of the lag is normal but I aslo have webroot for spyware and security and not sure if that could be part of it.. I use to use Microsoft pc essentials .

You can always just try disabling the Webroot, if that's it I would suggest either turning it off every time you're playing or finding something else to secure your computer with.

It's always good to turn as much off in the background as possible. Or give a clean boot a try: https://support.microsoft.com/nl-nl/kb/929135

thank you . gonna try turning off webroot and see what happens. I use to just use Microsoft pc essentials which is the same as windows defender but I was told that's not enough but I never had a problem using it or any virus or spyware problems.

I think its the firewall on the webroot . I turned the firewall off and it seems better .. I think I'm gonna do what my bf said and just go back to using the windows defender . which is the same as using Microsoft pc essentials . I never had a problem using that but I was told its not enough for protection. I have gone to Microsoft pc essentials because wild tangent game specialist said that's what their company uses and it works good. I want to make sure that's enough to protect my pc . it always did before ...If you can get back to me and let me know what you think I would appreciate it. thank you for all your help.. oh their is a spot to allow files for firewall on webroot but I couldn't figure out how to put the sims4 on that list ..

I think origin was being blocked on firewall because I was able to put origin files as allow on webroot firewall so now I'm gonna try that and see if it works . keeping fingers crossed ..

It depends on what you do on your computer. When you look at a lot of different unknown websites I would really suggest an anti-virus & anti-malware.

Same goes with if you fall for spam mails a lot, some people easily click on links in e-maills or open unknown attachments to e-mails. Or even on social media.

Personally, I have it all off, but when I feel like I'm going to go to a website or download/open something I'm not 100% sure of I turn it on. And off course just let is scan every once in a while.

I don't think there is one security software that it 'the best', because when a new virus comes out they don't know about it instantly.

It takes a few people to report it, and for them to look in to it to get it added to the program.

I would see how it goes, if it starts lagging again, just play around with the settings a bit. You should be able to add TS4 to the list as well, same goes for the 64-bit version of The Sims.

thank you. For tonight I'm just gonna disable firewall while I'm online with the sims 4 .. Tomorrow I'm gonna try uninstalling webroot and try the windows defender which is the same as the pc essentials and see if that makes a difference. thank you for being so kind and patient with me ..  I was gonna add you as a friend but I wanted to ask out of respect if that would be ok ?

I don't think that really does a lot on this website, but feel free to do so 🙂
