Re: CC Auto Detect Detects CC Where There Isn't Any

I do have cc in the game, but not on this lot. No custom pictures, and no sims at all. I began the build on an empty lot with no household on it.

To be sure I didn't accidentally use any cc, I checked it out in the tray importer and it didn't list any.

    Hi @Jes2G

It also happened to me, I had to remove repeat plants (the mod for repeatedly planting all 'garden plants') for it to show up as not modded for the gallery also a mod for placing small appliances anywhere.. So, took both out of my game. ('frustrating')  ☹️ Just thought I'd mention it as you may have them or something similar that the tray importer might miss and is not exactly a 'physical mod or cc' (not sure if I found it via the Tray Importer or not, but don't think it showed up). Also do you have the latest version of the Tray Importer? As they keep that updated as well

There's also quite a few mods that 'alter' base game items like bed energy and so forth; these will usually show up as modded with a little 'spanner' in buy mode, (that tray importer might miss?) also some people even use that mod to remove the little 'spanner'... that would be very confusing, as I like to know what is cc when building if I want to share it in the gallery.

    Hope that helps..

    Sasha

nb: they never used to inhibit it either, it was after about 3 or 4 patches / updates ago

Hi, thanks. I don't really use mods like that. I have a few that modify CAS and other live mode mods like MC Command Center, UI Extension Cheats, and stuff like that. The only thing remotely related to build mode would be Hide Lot Trait Head FX which still mostly affects live mode.

You're welcome, ok then well I'm sure Crinrict will work out the problem for you (or bug) whether or not the last mod you mention affects it I wouldn't know, just that the Cats and Dogs pack was such a large update.

There's certain mods that can make your lots be marked as cc.

    I would do the following

    1. Create a fresh folder without any mods/cc (rename the old one after this you can just rename it back)
    2. Start a new game
    3. Download the cc marked lot from the gallery and place it in your game
    4. Re-upload

Does it still have cc that way ?

Thanks, Crin. I uploaded the lot per your instructions, and it is now not marked as cc. I know you can't tell me which mod specifically is causing the issues, but do you know what types of mods affect this? Not like script mods or not, but mods that block/modify certain things?

Pretty sure MCCC can cause it but as you said there were no Sims on the lot, that might not be it. The UI Mod might also

Really hard to tell. Guess try putting back one mod after the other until it's marked as cc ?

I could. I don't build much, so that's probably more trouble than it's worth lol. If it ever comes to that I'll do it. At least I know it's mod related now.

  • how do i do this, im not computer savvy i know how to use google, word and play the sims, please let me know
