Game keeps crashing

My game keeps crashing or freezing to the point where i have to manually close it. The longwst i have waited while it froze just to see was 27 minutes. This is a new issue i have been having since the last update 29th of april 2025. It gets worse when i try to acces the gallerly. It also seems to be happening more in cas then in build or live mode. Yes i do have mods so i tried playing without mods but it still happens. That means its not a mod breaking my game. I first posted this in bugs but was told to move it here.

If you get another crash, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

Leave the Gallery issue aside for now.  I'd like to know whether the game crashes or freezes independently of that.  Once it's running properly again, we can try to fix the Gallery, if it's still a problem.

  • cll1275  Is Sims 4 reading a folder inside the OneDrive folder?  Here's how to check:

    https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2018/07/how-to-find-your-user-folder/

If it is, try pausing OneDrive syncing.  You can do this by right-clicking the cloud icon in the lower-right corner of the screen, or perhaps hidden in the Tray (^ icon).

If that doesn't help or isn't relevant, does your computer support wifi?  I'm wondering whether the connection is the issue.  If you do have wifi, please try a different network if possible, for example your phone set as a mobile hotspot, using data rather than your home wifi.
