Furniture Disappearing after “Selling” when Moving Sims

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.58.69.1010
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All expansions, Strangerville, Dine Out, Spa Day, Perfect Patio Stuff, Holiday Celebration
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Move sims from one house to another and select “sell furniture.”
What happens when the bug occurs? I’m not entirely sure if this is a bug or intentional, but previously, I’ve been able to move houses and click “sell furtniture” without deleting the furniture from the house I’m leaving; however, now, once I click sell furniture, the house I left is now empty. Before I could do this and the house would still be furnished for another family to move in and use it and the family that moved to a new house gets the monetary equivalent of the furniture that was “sold.”
What do you expect to see? I don’t expect the house that my family moving out of to be empty, especially since those houses have taken ages to decorate and furnish. The furniture should still be in the house.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

    @lynylestbelle I moved your active family from the apartment to a house in Willow Creek, selling furniture, and all was still in the apartment.

    Have you tried a folder rename yet (aka factory reset) ?

    @lynylestbelle Just tested this on my save where my Sim had moved and all the furniture is still there.

    Did you check your family inventory if it's there ? Did you test this without mods/cc installed ?

    @crinrict Yes I tried it without mods/cc. The furniture doesn’t appear in my family inventory, and nor do I want it to appear there. I want the furniture to stay in the old house as that is where the furniture started at, and I want the old house furnished and decorated for a new family to move into. Once I move, ALL of the furniture gets deleted UNLESS I move the family by evicting them first through manage worlds. This wasn’t the case before. Before, I could use the computer/phone to move households, press sell furniture, and none of the furniture in the old house would disappear. But now, once I press sell furniture, the whole house loses all of its furniture so that it is empty. Does that make sense?

    I have already done all of the basic steps of trying to hotfix it.

    @lynylestbelle Just wanted to make sure you forgot to click it by accident.

    As said, for me it still works as it should.

    Did you also test on a fresh save to see if it's a general issue or related to your save game ?

    Few more question to see if we can get to the bottom of why it's not working for you

    As there are a few options to move

    - Did you move through the phone ? Is this with one or multiple Sims or does that not matter ?
    - Did you move to/from a house, dorm or apartment or does that also not matter ?
    - Does it happen if you move a Sim into an existing other household or also if you just move to a different lot ?
    - Did you check the house right after you moved out (there is a bug where houses become 'ghost' empty. Meaning it shows as you can't buy furnished but the furniture is actually still there) or played some and then wanted to move someone in ?
    - Does it àlso not work if you use the household manager and use the Transfer between households button or move out through that screen ?
    - If you split the household with the new option, does the family in the old one keep the furniture (there is no sell/keep option then but who knows)
    - There has been another report of someone not being credited for the furniture. Does that happen to you too ?
    - If you choose to keep the furniture, is it in your household inventory or also missing ?

    Also, have you tried repairing the game through Origin yet ?

    1) I’ve moved through the phone and computer. It happens with moving multiple sims and also when moving a single sim

    2) It doesn’t matter. It happens with all of those.

    3) It happens when I move to a different lot, I’m not sure if it happens when I move into an existing household, unless it’s a university dorm. It happened when I moved from my old house to the dorms.

    4) I did check when I moved out. I went back and the house was fully unfurnished, in both build and and live modes. 

    5) The bug does not happen when I move people through household manager. But it never used to happen to me even when I used the phone/computer.

    6) Yes the family keeps the furniture.

    7) I get money for the furniture.

    8) It is in my household inventory and disappears from the old house.

    9) Yes I have.

    @lynylestbelle I know you said it also happens on a fresh save but could you send me your main one just to see if I can duplicate it there ?

    Thank you for all of the help! I do not know what I did but I managed to get it to work somehow... I’m just sad that the house I originally moved from is empty still and I have to redecorate.
