Re: Shortcut

@Sakura1979   My shortcut disappeared some time ago so I just start the game with the icon in Origin. Origin should be running (or the game will start Origin). To create a shortcut just right click an open spot on your desktop then click new - create shortcut. Find the file ts4_x64.exe and fill that into target.  Mine was in C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin\ but yours may be different. If the default icon doesn't appear you can extract the icon and insert that into the shortcut. Google how to extract icons from exe files. There are also default icons you can use.

@Sakura1979   Can you start the game from the icon in Origin? If you click on the icon in Origin there should be a play button in the screen that comes up.

Sorry for the late response. I can start the game there but I like to go off line when I play. That is why I am trying to find a way to get the shortcut for the game,

    Have a wonderful weekend..

@Sakura1979  Open your Origin library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Move Game.  A File Explorer window will appear showing the location where Sims 4 is already installed.  The exact file path will be across the top of the window, something like:

    This PC > Local Disk C: > Program files (x86) > Origin Games >

    Please list that path here.

@Sakura1979  Okay, so then it's easy, other than the drive letter.  Open a File Explorer window, click This PC on the left, then double-click the C drive icon.  From there, open Program files (x86)—not the regular Program files—then Origin Games, then The Sims 4, then Game, then Bin.  Right-click on TS4_x64 and select Send to > Desktop.

If you don't see the Sims 4 folder along this path, try again, except open your D drive or whatever other drive(s) you see.  As long as the game is installed, TS4_x64 will be in there somewhere.

If the shortcut doesn't work, repeat the process, except instead of opening Bin, open Bin_LE, and use TS4 for the shortcut.
