That fixed it!! Thank you so much! I had no idea there would be a separate sound setting for Sims 4 when it was running. Somehow that was turned all the way down. Thanks again!!

It's just a quirk with how Windows works. It's a little odd but I like it that way. You can configure each application to have its own volume. Adjusting sound settings, volume mix, outputs, nothing works and this is a comparative observation, as my other games sound fine.
