Re: EA App won't install 4/26 update, can't launch game

I am having an issue with the new Sims 4 update. My game told me an update is required so I click the download button and it downloads and finalizes but then then it tells me update is required again & to download. It keeps asking me to download and so I cannot play my game. Is anyone else having this issue? Can someone from EA respond to my issue. I hate this EA App it is the worst. I do not know why you guys switched from Origin. I had no problems when I was using Origin. First it was my Basement Kit not installing that eventually resolved itself and now this.  Can someone from EA get back to me this is getting ridiculous.

  • I was able to do the patch update and play my game fine two days ago. Now the EA App is asking me to download my entire Sims 4 game and gives me a "you don't have access" message when I try to start my game from the desktop icon. I've restarted the app and my laptop multiple times with no change.

    These kind of issues usually appear for no reason and they disappear for no reason too! It happened to me, but before the last patch. I do suggest you the following steps before trying something more complicated:

    1. Closing and reopening the EA app

    2. Clearing cache: EA app window > click in the top, on the left > Help > App recovery > Clear cache

    3. Restarting the computer. If it does not work the 1st and 2nd step once again

    Thank you! I just did the App recovery>Clear cache and it looks fine again.
