My game updated, and I've updated the mods. Still not working.

I hate patch day. Everything seems to break. I did update mods. Used the sims 4 mod manager to see if more items were broken or needed updating. I still can't get the game to load. Help, if possible, any idea what can cause this?

  • @luvedior  All but one of the errors in your dxdiag are generic Windows update errors, so please run a couple of basic checks of your Windows system files:

    • Hit Windows key-X
    • Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminnal (Administrator),” whichever option is offered
    • Inside the window that appears, copy and paste “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” without quotes into the window, and enter
    • The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here
    • After it reaches 100%, hit Windows key-X again
    • Again, choose “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminal (Administrator)”
    • Inside the window, copy and paste “sfc /scannow” without quotes into the window, and enter
    • Post the message you receive here

Restart your computer, hit Windows key-i, select Update & Security, and click the box to check for updates.  If any install, restart again afterwards.

Please test with no mods or custom content, as in, move the Mods folder to the desktop and delete localthumbcache.package.  You don't need to save your progress, but it's important to distinguish between the effects of possibly-outdated mods and any other problems you might be seeing.
