Re: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR Sims 4

@Lady_Mystery101 From Microsoft:

"A "WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR" BSOD is typically related to hardware issues, and it can be caused by various factors such as failing hardware components, driver problems, and software conflicts. The error message indicates that a hardware error has occurred that the Windows operating system cannot recover from."

It could be hard drive, memory, or processor related. You should investigate the various diagnostics available to determine is there is an issue that may require a repair or a Windows recovery/reinstall.

  • I have tried running diagnostics on my computer and I didn't find anything wrong myself. I also took it to a shop and they couldn't find anything wrong with it either. Even a friend of mine who builds computers couldn't find anything wrong with my computer. I mentioned that I bought a new hard drive to be put into my computer.

    I've reinstalled Windows about 3 times just in the last week trying to fix the issue and it only occurs whenever I try to play the Sims 4. I play much heavier games other than the Sims 4 and they all run smoothly and fine without any issues.

    @Lady_Mystery101  Downloading a mod should never cause this kind of problem.  What diagnostics have you and others run on this computer?  I'd like to see a dxdiag as well; you can attach it to a post.

    If you've seen any BlueScreens since the last time you reinstalled Windows, you should be able to find associated crash dumps.  Go here:

    C:\Windows\Minidump

    For the last two or three files, right-click them and select Copy, then right-click your desktop and select Paste.  From there, you can zip the files together, upload the .zip to a third-party filesharing site, and link it here.
