Re: Sims 4 game keeps freezing

@luvcooper03  The Gallery uploads and Library saves are the versions of your sims as they were straight out of CAS, so they wouldn't be progressed at all.

In this saves folder, please try renaming this file:

Slot_00000002.save.ver0

to this:

Slot_00000003.save

So you're changing the 2 to a 3 and deleting the .ver0 extension.  Make sure there are still seven zeroes (so the number is eight digits in total), then see whether it's available to load at the Main Menu.

If the save doesn't show up, please post the full file path to the folder Sims 4 is reading, as seen in-game:

@luvcooper03  I'm glad to hear you fixed it.  For future reference, the saves labeled like this:

    Slot_00000002.save (n).ver4

would be usable too if you deleted everything after save (and renumbered them so they didn't conflict with your existing saves).  OneDrive adds the extra number in parentheses to distinguish between older and newer versions of the file, but that number prevents Sims 4 from reading the save, even as a backup.  Maybe you already figured this out; I'm only mentioning it in case it's useful later.

@luvcooper03  When did the game freeze: as you were playing the save, and in what context; or when you were still loading, and where?

@puzzlezaddict as I was playing the save. Just during normal gameplay like it did before. I can't go to other sims or anything and if I try to pause the players just freeze or on a loop like the one was rocking and it just kept rocking

@luvcooper03  How much RAM is Sims 4 using, and how much is your computer using overall, when you're playing this save?  Please load the save, let the game clock run for a few sim-minutes, then put Sims 4 in windowed mode (but don't minimize it).  Open the Task Manager, make sure it's in detailed mode and showing the Processes tab, and take a screenshot.  Please post that here.

@luvcooper03  That's exactly what I wanted, and it looks fine.  If the game is freezing and yet your computer's memory use isn't maxed out or close to it (over 95% rather than the current 64%), then that is pretty clearly not the issue.

I think from your description that you went back to playing an existing save, which was fine for some time and then went back to freezing, but please let me know if that's incorrect.  Either way, I'd like to know what world this save is in and what happened just before the game started freezing.  For example, did your sims move houses or go on vacation, did you add back some mods or custom content, etc.?  Please also let me know if a new save is affected—I know it wasn't before, but I want to be thorough so I don't waste your time testing the wrong potential issues.  And I'd like a new dxdiag as well.
