Re: Sims 4 crashing after upgrade to Windows 11
@brittannic Your dxdiag is full of Windows system errors, some that suggest that perhaps there was a problem with the process of installing Windows 11. So I'd suggest going right to a repair install, which will give you the cleanest version of Windows you can get without wiping your computer and reinstalling everything. Here's how (option two):

This shouldn't delete any of your data, but if you get to step 14 and are NOT asked to keep personal files and apps, back out and start over.
Once you've done this, please try again to play Sims 4, in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and play long enough to see whether the game is still locking up your system.
If you do get another freeze, please post a new dxdiag. Please also look for new errors in the Reliability Monitor. Hit Windows key-R and enter "perfmon /rel" without quotes, and you'll see a chart of errors and updates with a column for each day. Today is on the right.
Look for an error that happened at exactly the time of your most recent Sims 4-related freeze. If you find one, double-click it to see more details, then copy that info and paste it into a reply here. If you don't see a new error, check back in an hour or so—the Reliability Monitor doesn't always update right away.
