Re: Game keeps crashing
@LorenB01 Thanks for the dxdiag, which would have been my first request. The Sims 4 crashes it lists are mostly access violations, too generic of an error to be much use here. But there is one breakpoint error, plus one error that points to the Nvidia graphics driver, and there's one other serious error relating to that driver, so the place to start is with a clean uninstall and reinstall of the driver. Here's how:
Once you've installed the new driver and restarted your computer, please test Sims 4 again, with no mods or custom content present. If you get another crash, please test again with a clean Sims 4 user folder, just to be thorough.
If that doesn't help either, try playing in a clean boot:
The one service to leave enabled is the EABackgroundService, which the EA App needs in order to run. Disable the rest as described.
When you reboot your computer, go through the Task Manager's background processes list shutting down any service that doesn't absolutely need to be running, for example anything from MSI Afterburner to RGB software might still be enabled. If you accidentally kill a critical process and it doesn't restart on its own, just reboot your computer again.
Don't open anything other than Sims 4 and the EA App while testing, not even a browser window.
