@Wingmannedbro  16Gb ram is ~80 eur. Any build that has less is either a bad build or is going for under 400 eur total.

An above average PC is ~900 eur (ryzen 2600, geforce 2060, 16gb gskill 3200 ddr4, 500 gb nvme ssd, 600w gold psu). And almost half of that is in the 2060 (370 eur).

Throw in another 80 for 16gb more ram, another 40 for a 700w gold psu and another 200 for a 2070S gpu = 1200 eur for a powerful pc (although 2060 is almost as good as my 1080Ti, so 2070S is probably a massive overkill for a mid-range PC).

Or, going for truly budget build: ryzen 2600, gf 1050Ti/radeon 570, 8gb ram, 250 gb ssd, 600w gold psu ~= 600 eur.  - should still be able to do 80-100 fps in Apex (although probably better to not skimp the 100 eur from ssd and ram).

So 700 eur PC, 200 eur monitor (cheap 144hz, without any useless g-syncs, freesyncs or lighting), 10-15 eur keyboard (anything above that is not going to improve anything) and 60 eur mouse (e.g., any zowie mouse), 10 eur big mouse pad (e.g., qck+) = 980 eur total.

Headphones - anything goes, as long as it's stereo.

Desk and chair? Grab any comfortable (or not; too comfortable is also bad) chair (no arm rests, obviously), put a big enough plank on 2 boxes for the monitor, mouse and keyboard, adjust height to fit the chair - done (the PC is obviously on the ground, hidden behind stuff - only crazy ppl do otherwise).

Or use a dining table (as long as it's thin and you can sit close to it's edge) and use the box instead of chair - should work just fine too.

Better yet, if you have a good office chair - won't ever need anything else. I would never buy into all that "gaming chairs" sham.

Of course, i'd rather go with an i9, but that's an expensive matter of taste.

Tldr; 1k eur is just about enough for a decent gaming setup in Europe.
