Beta Testing
I used to play this game called paladins, which if u dont know,is a game very similar to the more popular game that is overwatch, which basically involves 5v5 matches or deathmatch
So basically,In paladins, they had released a beta version for the game, where players could could select any champion(the game had around 20 or so champions and around 7 or 8 had to be unlocked just like apex.)and equip any skin that they liked.
So before any major patch, they used to update this alternate version, which is free to download for anybody, and includes a profile different from the one that you use in the original game.
Basically this lasted for around 2-3 weeks, and what it did was give the streamers and the public an idea as to what the patch was,and how it will look in game
This helped streamers to test out the new champion, give feedback on whether the character was neutral, underpowered or overpowered and it also helped the highly observant players to notice any game breaking bugs that needed to be fixed before the og update went live
I will now list the ways it helps the community
1.The bugs cannot be exploited by the players in the original game,as it would have already been pointed out in the beta.
2.The newer players can try out the new legends for free, and it would help them out in purchasing the legend that they want,
3.Even the skins can be made available to everyone
4.Streamers and pro players can test out the new legend and communicate to the developers as to what they would like to change in the new legend.
Let me know what you all think about this idea,as it can be a win-win for both parties
