Season what?

What season are we on? Season 1? Because I just loaded into ranked, I was solo before 5 teams had joined. It took 5 minutes to load and 2 teams didn't even spawn in. So is the game that dead that I can't get a full lobby? How is that from a trip A title? Happens every 5 or so games.
