Sorry to hop on here. But I've had the same issue, even post-patch. I've reinstalled it countless times. and that doesn't help anymore. I don't know what else to do.

Were you able to try out any of the connectivity steps I linked before? There are also some PS4-specific steps that may help as well. Let me know if you're still running into the same issues afterward.

I’m having the same thing now on October 17th can’t play apex says play and party not ready nothing has fixed it not even restarting my router 

Same here, nothing I do helps. For me it started with the new teaser of the new legend. Since then it’s so hard for me to play with my friend . It’s making it very hard for me to want to play

Nothing about this bug has been fixed and there have been reports from 2019 saying the same issues its embarrassing

I went through the psn specific steps and still nothing. I can load into the game but can’t play or join. It only shows player above my character and never loads anything beyond the party screen. I would post a photo as proof but every one I take says the file size is too big.
