Got it, thanks! If you had the game installed previously on a different HDD before switching the drives, I'm curious if there might be something left over in the registry that's causing issues. You can try running something like CCleaner to see if that helps, but keep in mind it would be at your own risk. 

If that's something you're interested in trying check out the CCleaner website for more info. If you do give it a shot please let me know if you're still getting the same disk write errors afterward. Thanks again!

    Ah, yes, I had Apex installed in my old (and dead) HDD.

    I ran CCleaner and cleaned the applications and Windows' stuff, then checked for registry issues (There was over 1,200!) and fixed all of them. Lastly I rebooted my PC. Then I tried to install Apex one more time. I was anxious the whole time. To my surprise and joy it installed completely, and with no errors whatsoever! I played two games and died pathetically because I am less than a pan in the battlefield, but I surely still enjoy Apex!
